The purpose of this study is to explore the multi-dimensionality and the differences of the career success that is revealed by the employee's perception. In order to fulfill the research purpose, LDA topic modeling has applied to extract latent topics of career success from 126 Korean employees' open-end survey questionnaires. The extracted latent topics are social recognition, continuing service within an organization, expertise, financial rewards, and pursuing personal meaning. The occurrence probability of each topic was different by individual characteristics such as gender, education, position. Study findings showed there is multi-dimensionality in career success, and there are differences of topic occurrence probability by demographic characteristics. Additionally, this study showed how to apply the recently developed machine learning approach in order to reduce the researcher's bias by adapting the LDA topic modeling to the qualitative open-ended survey data.

Currently, most of the industrial areas like chemistry, manufacturing, shipbuilding, and steel, perform the work related to gas, and the staffs who are in charge of this work have a risk of suffocation without cognizing incidents like gas leak. For example, when the nitrogen gas leaked in 2015 at Paju, two people were killed and four people were injured. In 2018 at Pohang, four workers were suffocated to death from nitrogen gas. In order to solve this problem, this study realized the system in which workers could immediately cognize the gas leak and also deliver the situation to the staff in charge of safety at the same time, by installing the IoT device composed of gas sensor and communication module on the safety helmet that should be worn by field workers. This study is expected to be able to reduce the casualties caused by gas leak in industrial sites.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of workers' human resource development and their recognition of human resource on-the-job satisfaction. A sample of 4,727 workers that was selected from Korea Labor Panel Data was analyzed by t-test and multiple regression, and was tested by causal effects among related variables. The major findings were as follows: First, the workers' recognition of their job performance level vs. educational attainment was affected by their annual income, job status, educational attainment, gender, and experiences of human resource development. Second, the workers' job satisfaction was affected by gender, age, educational attainment, health status, job status, annual income, experiences of human resource development, recognition of their job performance level vs. educational attainment, and recognition for their job availability. Third, the factors that had a causal effect on workers' job satisfaction were educational attainment, gender, age, health status, annual income, and experiences of human resource development. Above all, workers' educational attainment had a strong direct effect on job satisfaction, and annual income had a strong indirect effect on it. From these findings, it can be concluded that workers' effort and trial for development and investment of human resource played an important role in increasing job satisfaction.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the subjective oral health awareness, oral health knowledge, oral health behavior and OHIP-14 in industrial workers. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 243 workers in Jeonbuk May 7 to June 10, 2014. Except incomplete answers, 230 data were analyzed. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(sex, age, career, marital status, abd family), oral health recognition characteristics(oral health attention, subjective oral health status, and oral health concern), oral health knowledge, oral health behavior, and oral health related quality of life. The instrument was 14 questions od OHIP-14 including functional restriction(2 questions), physical pain(2 questions), psychological discomfort(2 questions), physical ability decease(2 questions), psychological function decease(2 questions), social activity decrease (2 questions), and social discomfort(2 questions). Cronbach's alpha was 0.949 in this study and it was reliable. Results: Oral health interests showed that 57.8% of the workers had concern for oral health interests and 50.4% perceived that their subjective oral health was moderate status. 55.6% of the workers answered that their oral health status was very worried. Women had more knowledge about the oral health. Those who were in fifties tended to have more knowledge of oral health than the other age groups. Those who had more concern for oral health included female workers, married workers, and workers above 21 years. The concern for oral health made the workers keep good oral health. Higher score of OHIP-14 means good oral health. Conclusions: Good oral health-related quality of life is proportional to continuous management of oral health and subjective oral health status. It is necessary to develop the tailored oral health education program for the workers.

Safety education delivered to construction workers in a lecture manner has limitations in concentration and immersion, so delivery power and interest are low. In order to improve unstable behavior through education and prevent safety accidents, it is necessary to change the paradigm to hands-on education. Purpose: Experiential safety education aims to contribute to preventing accidents for construction workers by quickly recognizing risks, improving emergency response skills, and verifying the effectiveness of pre- and post-learning. Method: Based on a survey of workers who experienced the same work environment as the actual construction site, an opinion survey on the pre- and post-safety experience education and a variable measurement tool were planned, and a research hypothesis was established. Results: The Bayesian theory and MC simulation analysis were used to analyze the structural equation model, and the change in construction worker behavior was confirmed through the intended safety (A), non-experiential education in the sub-area of anxiety (B), average, standard deviation, and minimum and maximum values. Conclusion: The effect of education and industrial accidents are reduced only when construction workers are motivated to participate.
The purpose of this study was to examine the oral symptoms, self-rated systemic health state and oral health status of industrial workers in a bid to provide some information on oral health education geared toward industrial workers. The subjects in this study were 294 workers who got a medical checkup in Korea Industrial Health Association in North Gyeongsang Province. Those who felt less inconveniences in the oral cavity led a better quality of life related to oral health in every area except physical handicaps (p<.001, p<.01). The men's OHIP-14 was higher than the women's, and the younger workers led a better quality of life related to oral health in the area of social separation(p<.01), and the married ones did in the area of physical handicaps, mental disorder and social separation(p<.05). And the workers whose household income was larger lived a better quality of life related to oral health in the areas of Psychological discomfort, physical handicaps, mental disorder, social disorder and social separation(p<.05). Those who found themselves to be generally in good health(p<.001, p<.05) and whose subjective oral health state was led a better quality of life in every area(p<.001, p<.05). The findings of the study showed that there were differences in the quality of life according to awareness of oral symptoms, general health status and oral health state.
The purpose of this paper is to review the meaning of extended application of workers' compensation for artists. This study explains by giving specific two examples. The first case is about broadcasting extra who is permitted to receive compensation from Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service without filing a suit. Whereas, The second case is about musical stage crew who is not permitted to obtain compensation for accident during work. The reason why he could not receive compensation is not because he is regarded as worker, but because he is regarded as individual businessman. Extended application of workers' compensation for artists could be a double-edged sword for workers through two cases. Firstly, Broadcasting extras could become much easier to receive workers' compensation according to precedent. Secondly, It is more difficult to get the workers' compensation by the reason of not applying for workers' compensation admission like the second case, even though the second case of forms of employment is similar to that of the first. In other words, New compensation development could generate another obstacles to enter compensation systems. Extended application of workers' compensation should be operated with covering artists' compensation case by case.

The purpose of this study is to find out how to measure the stress related to accidents at the construction site promptly and conveniently to prevent safety accidents of construction workers. Accordingly, we analyzed the correlations between the questionnaire tool index that measures the stress associated with complex psychology of humans by integrating emotion, cognition, physical and behavioral responses, and basic brain waves, SEF-90, concentration, stress index from brain wave. As a result, which had the highest correlation with the stress measured through the questionnaire, was the SEF-90, and the regression analysis between two independent variables yielded a specific regression equation. This suggests the possibility of measuring the integrated stress of construction workers through the EEG signal at the construction site, and it can be used for the safety management of the construction site in the future.

The purpose of this study is to classify the attitudes of Korean people regarding foreign workers and to analyze the influence factors. Analysis of the attitude difference and the influential factors utilized the SPSS ${\chi}^2$ test and multinomial logistic regression analysis using 2016 data obtained from the 'Koreans' Consciousness and Values'. Socio-demographic variables, national identity, and socioeconomic variables were used as explanatory variables. The attitude types (friendly, negative, and dual) of respondents were identified, and the influence of explanatory variables influencing these attitudes was identified. Analysis found they have a relatively generous stance on granting legal rights, while they are negative regarding the economic and social threats from foreign workers. As a result of analyzing the factors affecting attitudes, there are significant differences in each influence. However, negative attitudes and dual attitude concerning with negative legal rights found common to the influence of the factors of national identity. Gender and ratio of foreign workers were influential factors for dual attitudes with a high economic threat. On the other hand, socioeconomic factors reflecting the realistic conflict theory were not found to have any effect. The negative attitude of foreign workers in our society can be regarded as cognitive threats rather than realistic experiences or conflicts.
