Near-field Target Localization Using Bottom-mounted Linear Sensor Array in Multipath Environment (다중경로환경에서 바닥고정형 선배열센서를 이용한 근거리표적의 위치추정기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a near-field target localization algorithm using a bottom-mounted linear sensor amy in a multipath environment. In a multipath environment, the conic angles of a target signals through each path are different, and the position of the target can be estimated using these conic angles and the time difference of these signals. We derive equations on the relation of time-difference of signals and conic angles estimates under the far-field assumption, and estimate the position of target by simultaneously solving these equations. For a certain geometry of a target and the sensor array, there exist cases when the conic angles are very close. In such a case, we estimate the position of the target using an additional 1-D search.

  • In the 21st century, in which the accident rate is rapidly increasing in proportion to the development of automobiles, In order to reduce the number of accidents, this paper was written for the convenience of the elderly people with disabilities and the handicapped. When a driver's safety accidents and various signals are transmitted through a smart phone by voice, the voice signal is processed as a video signal through the rear LED pannel of the vehicle, so that an urgent situation or a current state can be clarified It is also possible to use the local area network as a billboard and I would like to propose a study to show the advertising effect and current traffic situation.

  • LBS (Location Based Service) cannot be realized unless we can obtain the user's current location. Therefore, in order to realize indoor LBS, many researchers have been working on WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) based indoor positioning and tracking. Meanwhile, Kalman filter has been widely used in the field of GPS based outdoor user tracking. The main purpose of this paper is proposing an extended Kalman filter method for indoor tracking. Our experimental results show that Kalman filter can be used to improve the accuracy of the measured tracks and the track can be further improved by making use of the map information.

  • This paper describes the outboard NIU(Network Interface Unit) using microprocessor and the hardware and software of concentrator for constructing star typed LAN(Local Area Network) based on token ring method. The NIU adapter can adapter up to four parallel and serial typed terminals. Because it has PAD function on input output data, any type of terminals can be adapted. Since the concentrator has logical switching circuit which enables data to bypass the faulted NIU adapter, this network prevents communication break. When user transmits and receives data, the concentrator constructs star typed LAN which connct both transmitting and receiving sides. A s result, this network eliminated ring latency time in other NIU exculding transmitting and receiving NIU. So the throughput of this LAN is increased. Because this LAN system consists of several modultes according to it's function, the expansion of function or the modification of method is easy.

  • A sueueing model is developed and analyzed to evaluate the performance of a local and a remote destination of one multicast connection subject to a simple two-level(binary) feedback-based adaptive rate control scheme. The reate control scheme is a simple extension of the one for point-to-point case. Individual cell loss probabilities at the local and remote destinations are obtained to study the fairness of the adaptive rate control scheme. Numerical results show that this simple adaptive rate control scheme, which is fair when it is applied to a multicast connection consisting of destinations with equal propagation delays, bears bias against remote destination.

  • The doorlock using buttons has been widely used since it does not exploit the physical key and has much functions though it is cheap. However, the doorlock has problems where it is easy to forget the secret number since the user has to remember the number and difficult to keep secure when the one secret number has been used for a long time. In this paper, we propose the doorlock system using the near field communication. The proposed system controls the open and close of the doorlock using user data acquired by the near field communication tag, The implemented doorlock system has the benefit to control the doorlock without a secret number.

  • Packet voice protocols have been realized in many research works. But few studies for the interconnection of LAN and PABX to facilitate the voice communication have been done. In this paper, the gateway to interconnect the Ethernet LAN with the existing PABX telephone network for voice communication has been designed and implemented. The implemented gateway protocol is a modified protocol based on CCITT`s G.764 packetized voice protocol. To accomplish this goal the hardware system has been realized, which is divided into five parts: interface part with the telephone line, voice-processing part, PC interface part, controller part, and finally DTMF part. And the gateway software is divided into three parts: interface to make use of the packet driver which drives the network card, driver to drive the PABX gateway, and the protocol handling part.

  • The close-range photogrammetry is a surveying technique the acquiring the 3D object from 2D geometric appearance shown in the image. Camera treatment is relatively so simple. Camera position refer to the object can be freely adjusted by locating the exposure station at any site. So it is used effectively on a small area or object for survey. In this study, using the digital camera which has capacity of keeping numerical value by itself and easy carrying, we analyze the positioning error according to various change of photographing condition. Also we try to find a effective method of acquiring basis data for 3D monitoring of high-accuracy in sub-pixel degree thorough digital close-range photogrammetry with bundle adjustment for local terrain model generation.

  • In this paper, near-field source localization algorithm is presented using Matrix Pencil in Uniform Linear Array(ULA). Based on the centrosymmetry of the ULA, the proposed algorithm decouples the steering vectors which allow for the bearing estimation using Matrix pencil. With estimated bearing, the range estimation of each source is consequently obtained by defining 1D MUSIC spectrum. Simulation results are presented to validate the performance of the proposed algorithm.

  • Currently, most of the grain sorter uses CCD optic camera to find defective products. The aim of this paper is to use the CCD camera, and aim for improving the sorting power of the grain separator by using NIR(Near Infrared Radiation) sensor based on moisture content measurement algorithm. We intend to develop a system to develop an NFC imaging system in real time by developing an NIR imaging system and developing the grain sorter system that is considered to be defective in real time by checking the internal moisture content of the raw material in the real time.
