  • 일반적으로 마찰면은 유체윤활과 경계윤활과의 혼합潤滑영역을 거쳐서 경계윤활을 주체로 하는 領域으로 옮겨가는 가능성을 항상 지니고 있다. 거기에서는 점도뿐만 아니라, 油性이나 극압성 등이 윤활특성에 중요한 영향을 끼체게 된다. 따라서 그 영역에 있어서의 윤활제의 역할을 인식하고, 적정한 평가를 하기 위해서는 마찰현상에 대한 이해가 필요하게 된다.

Influence of Base Oils and Extreme Pressure Additives on Lubricity and Anti-Seizure Property of Lubricant in Cold Rolling (기유와 극압제가 압연유의 윤활성 및 내소부성에 미치는 영향)

  • The effects on lubricity and the anti-seizure property of lubricant according to base oils and extreme pressure additives of sulfur type and phosphorous type in cold rolling were evaluated by a laboratory scale rolling mill, where the contact conditions between work roll and strip are very close to actual cold rolling mill. The important results were obtained as follows : (1) synthetic oil has better effect on lubricity than tallow, (2) lubricant with extreme pressure additives of sulfur type of phosphorous type has better effect than base oil noly, (3) the more amount of extreme pressure additives is, the better effect on lubricity is, (4) sulfur type has better effect on lubricity than phosphorous type and (6) phosphorous type has better effect on anti-seizure property than sulfur type.

Tribological Properties of Aqueous Solutions Composed of Aminated Olive Oil Derivative (수용성 아민화 올리브유 유도체의 트라이볼로지적 특성고찰)

  • Aminated oilve oil derivative as the new organic disperse phases of the water soluble metal working fluid has been synthesized and tribological properties of the aqueous solutions composed of aminated olive oil derivative investigated using Four Ball Wear Tester and Falex EP Tester. The formulated aqueous solutions showed higher antiwear and extreme pressure properties and also lower friction coefficient. On the basis of the the results, water soluble aminated oilve oil derivative showed excellent tribological properties due to the polarizability of oleic acid derivative composed of majority part in oilve oil.

  • We have studied on the tribological characteristics of Plasma Vapour Deposition(PVD) coating method in Automotive Structural Materials. Coating materials were deposited by the Titanium carbide(TiC) and Titanium nitride(TiN). An experimental process was established to determine the tribological characteristics of friction and wear behaviour with the variation of applied load, temperature and the time with the Falex friction and wear test machine. It was improved that when the surface modification of hard coatings(TiC, TiN) was deposited steel, the tribological characteristics become better. It is argued that it is improved because of excellence of the anti-wear, the extreme pressure properties and tile heat stability.

  • The lubricational characteristics about friction and wear has an important effect on the material quality of surface. Therefore, in the case of automobile engine oil which is used under severe running condition, or therefore, the seizure and anti-scuffing is very important. We have studied the lubricational characteristics of auto engine oil with additives using Falex wear test machine. We have obtained the studied result is as fellows. In order to more improved the surface roughness characteristics adding the P(phosphate) as additives is excellent at a low temperature. Adding the ZnDTP and Ca-phenate is excellent on the anti-wear and extreme pressure properties at the high load. Moreover, when the ZnDTP and P are added, the temperature properties is excellent because the stability is maintained in a high temperature.

  • Lithium dual complex grease was prepared through the second continuous saponification reaction of a complex gellant system whose essential components comprised of a selected hydroxy fatty acid, lithium hydroxide monohydrate and boric acid to have a fiber structure of chemical, thermal and mechanical stability at high temperatures. An optimum amount of complex gellant was found to be 14% (NLGI #2), and an addition of castor wax of 1.5% provided an excellent performance properties, especially. The oil separation, oxidation stability, water wash-out property, shear stability, extreme pressure and wear property of thus prepared were tested by the ASTM and KS methods, and a characteristic result was obtained.

  • 엔진유및 각종 윤활유의 이용범위의 광대 및 재료의 등장으로 사용조건이 더욱 과산화됨에 따라 한 종류의 첨가제를 단독으로 첨가사용하기 보다는 몇 종류 이상의 첨가제가 첨가되는 경우가 대부분이다. 첨가제의 기능상 여러종류의 첨가는 첨가제 자신이 갖고 있는 특성을 충분히 발휘하기 위한 것이지만, 일반적으로 첨가제간의 상호방해작용으로 단독첨가 사용시 각각의 특성을 충분히 발달하기보다는 기등이하의 결과를 가져오는 경우가 많다. 최근, 유용성 몰르브덴계 화합물이 마찰, 마모 및 \ulcorner화방지제로써 잘 알려져 있으며 몰리부덴계 첨가제중 Molybdenium dialkyl dithiocarbamate (MoDTC)는 다기능성 첨가제로서 우수성이 부고되었다. 그러나 특히 타 첨가제와 공존시 MoDTC의 마찰특성의 변화에 대해서는 거의 보고된 바가 없다. 본 연구는 MoDTC와 타 첨가제 간의 마찰특성의 상호작용에 관한 검토로서, 유황계 화합물($S_8$), 인계 화합물(인산에스테르;TBP), 치오인산계 화합물(ZnDTP)과 같은 윤활유에 많이 첨가되고 있는 극압제를 사용해 이들 화합물이 공존시 MoDTC 마찰감소 작용에 미치는 영향을 검토하고 또한 분위기의 영향에 관해서도 검토하였다.

Coating materials were deposited by the Titanium carbide(TiC) and Titanium nitride(TiN). An experimental process was established to determine the tribological characteristics of friction and wear behaviour with the variation of applied load, temperature and the time by the Falex friction and wear test machine. The results, It can be improved that when the surface modification of hard coatings(TiC, TiN) was deposited steel, the tribological characteristics become better.   • Small amounts of iodine compound in mineral oils are usually effective in reducing friction of metallic surfaces. Such improvement in frictional behaviour of wear characteristics was explained by the formation of a diiodide layer lattice structure at the metallic contact surfaces. The lubrication mechanism, however, by which organoiodine compounds functions is not based on the formation of such lattice structure iodide. It was tested and shown, by a static surface chemical reactivity test, wear and EP tests, and a hot wire method, that compound such as N-iodopyridinium dichlorodate, a double charge transfer complex, reacted with metals as an interhalogen compound and that the resultant thin film product reduced appreciable the friction of metallic surfaces, more than compounds such as methyl iodide, diiodomethane, and iodoform. These results suggest that the action of iodine, included in organoiodine compounds, is not that of a classical layer structure iodide, and an entirely new mechanism may be derived from a further studies on charge transfer complex compounds of organoiodine compounds.

Degreasing of Impurities for a Web Strip Iron Mills (금속인발가공선의 협잡물 제거 (탈지)방법의 고찰(I))

  • 본 지도업체인 쌍희금속은 1988년 2월 설립, 주생산제품은 닉켈합금선으로서 1997년 12월 현재 총매출액 7.4억원(수출 0.12억 포함) 당기순이익 0.32억원으로 종업원 9명을 포함한 개인기업 형태로 특히 총매출액의 6%를 기술투자비율에 할당하고 있는 유망 중소기업이다. 기술지도와 관련한 연선의 선재(線材)는 포항제철의 $^{ø}$8mm 태선(允線)이 주종이나 특수선(特殊線)인 경우는, 국내선재의 경우 멜팅(Melting)기술이 부족하여 독일국으로부터 $^{ø}$5.5 mm의 선재를 직수입에 의존하고 있었다. 한편 세선가공의 선재는 20여개의 Dies공구 가공공정을 통한 $^{ø}$1.3 mm의 선채를 사용하여 $^{ø}$0.6 mm의 세선(細線)을 가공하고 있었다. 그러나 인발(引拔) 기술과 관련함에 특히 Dies 공구로부터 세선(細線)을 제조한 후 마무리 공정에서의 탈지문제가 정립돼있지 못하여 End User로부터 불만사례가 종종 야기 되었다 이의 원인 규명을 기술지도를 통해 조사한 결과 소성가공유(습식형)의 인식 부족이 주원인이였다. 소성가공유의 조성은 일반적으로 식물성. 광물성, 계면활성제, 극압제 등으로 구성됨에 마무리공정에서의 탈지방법은 가공유제의 기재(Base oil)에 따라 다르다 즉 기유(基油)가 광물계인 경우는 탈지제가 용제형(TCE 등)이 양호하나 식물계인 경우는 Alkali계가 양호하다. 따라서 NaOH sol'n2~3%+분산제(기포방지제)로서 음이온인 노닐페놀 0.1~0.3%의 처방을 제시하고 설비로서는 8$0^{\circ}C$로 유지되는 조제된 알칼리 Vessel과 물중탕 설비(열풍설비 포함)등을 대입하는 공정개선으로 Dies를 통과한 중간제품의 세선 $\longrightarrow$ 탈지설비 $\longrightarrow$ 80~85$^{\circ}C$로 유지되는 열처리(Aniling)공정을 대입함에 세선의 가공경화가 없었으며 아울러 수용성 가공유의 관리 한계(사내표준화)를 설정 관리 하도록 지도함으로서 지도 전에 비해 제조원가의 절하 및 생산성 향상은 물론 세선의 신규 탈지제 개발과 공정 개선을 통하여 가열공정의 부하개선 과 최종제품인 절연선의 품질향상을 가져 왔다.
