본 논문에서는 공군 정보 번역을 위한 영한 기계번역 시스템 ALKOL에 대해서 소개한다. ALKOL은 어휘화된 규칙에 기반한 번역 시스템으로, 어휘화된 규칙은 어휘-분석-변환-생성의 네 단계의 정보가 연결된 형태로 사전에 저장된다. 이와 같은 사전 구조에 의해 번역 과정의 효율성을 높일 수 있고, 어휘화된 규칙에 의해 정확하고 자연스러운 번역 결과를 얻을수 있다. ALKOL의 번역 과정은 형태소 분석, 품사 태깅, 분석 전처리, 구문 분석, 변환, 생성의 단계로 이루어진다. 각 단계에서는 전/후처리를 보강하여 실제 번역 환경에서 나타나는 문제들을 해결하고, 하나 이상의 번역 결과를 출력하여 사용자가 원하는 결과를 선택할 수 있게 한다.

본 논문은 효율적인 한국어 구문분석을 위해 먼저 구묶음 분석(Chunking) 과정을 적용할 것을 제안한다. 한국어는 어순이 자유롭지만 명사구와 동사구에서는 규칙적인 어순을 발견할 수 있으므로, 규칙을 이용한 구묶음(Chunking) 과정의 적용이 가능하다 하지만, 규칙만으로는 명사구와 동사구의 묶음에 한계가 있으므로 실험 말뭉치에서 어휘 정보를 찾아내어 구묶음 과정(Chunking)에 적용한다. 기존의 구문분석 방법은 구구조문법과 의존문법에 기반한 것이 대부분인데, 이러한 구문분석은 다양한 결과들이 분석되는 동안 많은 시간이 소요되며 이 중 잘못된 분석 결과를 가려서 삭제하기(pruning)도 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제시한 구묶음(Chunking) 과정을 적용함으로써, 잘못된 구문분석 결과를 미연에 방지하고 의존문법을 적용한 구문분석에 있어서 의존관계의 설정 범위(scope)도 제한할 수 있다.

Various coding styles for C language have been proposed so far but there has been a lack of synthetic review about them. In this paper, I propose a new C coding style by analyzing coding rules that are included in the representative C coding styles and by adding new coding rules besides them. In addition, I designed an automated C coding style checker named CStyler which was implemented using Lex and Yacc. It is designed to be able to verify unpreprocessed source code as well as preprocessed source code. And I improved its flexibility by being able to add a new coding rule by end user. I think that the new C coding style and coding style checker, CStyler, can be utilized for education and for future research to develop and extend a static analysis tool.

능동 데이터베이스 시스템은 일반적인 데이터베이스 시스템과 달리 어떤 사건이 발생하면 조건의 성립 여부에 따라 적절한 반응을 자동적으로 실행하는 시스템이며, 능동성은 사건, 조건 그리고 조치로 이루어진 능동규칙에 의해 수행된다. 그러므로 능동 데이터베이스는 규칙의 개념이 중심이 된다. 규칙은 사용자와 응용프로그램 또는 데이터베이스 관리자에 의해 정의되며, 대부분 일반적인 형태인 ECA로 이루어져 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 에너지관리 시스템에 적용하기 위한 능동 규칙 시스템의 구조에 따른 능동규칙을 일반적인 규칙언어 형태를 바탕으로 설계하고, 다양한 응용시스템에서의 확장성을 제시한다.

A hybrid part-of-speech tagging approaches may be robust, easily extendable, and accurate because they can have the advantages of both statistical approach and rule-based approach. But conventional hybrid part-of-speech tagging systems hardly resolve some morphological ambiguities which can't be resolved by statistical information. It is because the coverage of rules is narrow. So, we define disambiguation rules for individual ambiguous word based on syntax and semantics of surround words. We select words from which the top 50% of ambiguities are occurred in Sejong corpus and build 1,814 rules for them. The accuracy of our hybrid part-of-speech tagging system using those rules is 98.28%.

In accordance with his belief that philosophical problems arise from misunderstandings of the logic of our language, Wittgenstein's philosophical investigations were always focused on the problems of logic of language. Indeed, it can be said that his investigations were logical investigations. But what was the logic as conceived by him? He regarded logic as grammar from the beginning, but between his two different philosophical periods, there were important changes in his conceptions of grammar. In his earlier period, he understood the logic of language as the truth-functional syntax realizable in an ideal notation, while in his later period he regarded logic as the rules of language-use in various language games. It was a change from viewing logic as an ideally strict and universal system in which every logical possibilities are determined to viewing logic as an open system of non-strict grammatical rules specific to each language game. This paper deals with the gists of his earlier and later views on logic and the reasons for the change of his views, including specifically the reasons for the change of his views concerning the autonomy and necessity of logic as grammar.

Set constraints logic language is a language that adopts `set theory` in programming. In this paper, we introduce the procedure for solving set constraints proposed by A. Dovier and show how the procedure can be implemented in logic language Prolog. The procedure is represented in `rewriting rules` and this representation is characterized by having nondeterministic rule applicationsand mathematical variables that is difficult to be implemented in general programming languages. In this paper, we show that the representation can be easily implemented by using nondeterministic control, logical variables and data structure `list` provided in Prolog. Our implementation has following advantages.First we have implemented the full features of the language. Second we have described the implementation detail in thisresearch. Third other used the commercial Prolog called SICStus, but we are using CIAO Prolog with GNU GPL(General Public License) and anyone can use it freely. Forth the software of our implementation is open source so anyone can use, modify, and distribute it freely.

일반적으로 한국어 문장에서 명사는 용언의 항가(valency)에 의해 격이 할당된다. 그러한 이유로, 한국어는 용언이 문장 끝에 온다는 일반적인 제약 이외에는 그 어순이 비교적 자유롭다. 그러나 격 할당과 자유 어순에 대한 여러 가지 비규칙적인 현상들 때문에 문장 분석이나 생성에 문제가 일어난다. 예를 들면, "나 머리 아프다"에서처럼 명사에 격조사가 표시되지 않고 문장이 생성될 수도 있고, "은/는"이나 "도"와 같은 특수조사와 결합할 때는 그 격이 드러나지도 않는다. 어순의 경우, "물이 얼음이 되었다"=/= "얼음이 물이 되었다" 에서처럼 주격이 이중으로 나타나면 어순이 자유롭지 않는 반면, 용언의 어미가 문장 종결형일 때에는 "어서 가자 백두산으로"에서처럼 용언이 문미에 오지 않을 수도 있다. 이 논문은 한국어의 어순과 격 할당에 관한 이러한 문제를 어떻게 처리할 것인가를 보이는 것이 그 목적이다. 문제를 가급적 명시적으로 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문은 문장 분석과 생성에 대한 규칙과 제약 조건들을 형식화하고 문장 처리 과정에서 일어나는 격 할당과 어구 결합 및 배열 과정을 malaga라는 프로그래밍 언어로 구현하여 실험할 것이다.

자연어 생성 시스템은 기계 변역이나 대화 시스템 등 여러 시스템의 인터페이스로 중요한 역할을 한다. 자연어 생성 시스템을 효율적으로 구축하고, 확장을 용이하게 하기 위해서는 해당언어의 생성에 필요한 정보를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 규칙 표현법이 필요하다. 본 논문은 한국어 생성에서 사용하는 격틀과 격틀 이외의 여러 정보를 표현할 수 있는 표현법을 제안하였다. 그리고 제안한 규칙을 수행하기 위해서 Shieber의 semantic-head-driven-generation방식[4]을 변형한 엔진을 구현하였다.

법치국가에서의 법 문장은 일반 국민이 쉽게 읽고 이해해서 잘 지킬 수 있도록 해야 함은 물론이고 국민의 올바른 언어생활을 위한 본보기가 되어야 하는데, 우리의 법 문장은 용어 등이 어려워 이해하기 힘든 경우가 많고 문장 구조도 어문(語文) 규범에 맞지 않아 국민의 일상적인 언어생활과 거리가 있다는 지적이 많다. 이에 따라 환경부는 법적 간결성 함축성과 조화를 이루는 범위에서, 어려운 용어를 쉬운 우리말로 풀어쓰며 복잡한 문장은 체계를 정리하여 간결하게 다듬음으로써 쉽게 읽고 잘 이해할 수 있으며 국민의 언어생활에도 맞는 법령이 되도록 하여, 지금까지 공무원이나 전문가 중심의 법령 문화를 국민 중심의 법령 문화로 바꾸려는 취지 아래 제품의 포장재질 포장방법에 관한 기준 등에 관한 규칙 일부개정령안을 발표했다. 본 고에서는 주요 내용과 함께 달라진 점을 살펴보도록 한다.
