Error Budget Analysis for Geolocation Accuracy of High Resolution SAR Satellite Imagery (고해상도 SAR 영상의 기하 위치정확도 관련 중요변수 분석)

  • The geolocation accuracy of SAR satellite imagery is affected by orbit and sensor information and external variables such as DEM accuracy and atmospheric delay. To predict geolocation accuracy of KOMPSAT-5 and KOMPSAT-6, this paper uses TerraSAR-X imagery which has similar spec. Simulation data for sensitivity analysis are generated using range equation and doppler equation with several key error sources. As a result of simulation analysis, the effect of sensor information error is larger than orbit information error. Especially, onboard electronic delay needs to be monitored periodically because this error affects geolocation accuracy of slant range direction by 30m. Additionally, DEM accuracy causes geolocation error by 20~30m in mountainous area and atmospheric delay can occur by 5m in response to atmospheric condition and incidence angle.

Development of a Measurement Data Algorithm of Deep Space Network for Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter mission (달 탐사 시험용 궤도선을 위한 심우주 추적망의 관측값 구현 알고리즘 개발)

  • An algorithm is developed to generate measurement data of deep space network for Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO) mission. The algorithm can provide corrected measurement data for the Orbit Determination (OD) module in deep space. This study describes how to generate the computed data such as range, Doppler, azimuth angle and elevation angle. The geometric data were obtained by General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT) simulation and the corrected data were calculated with measurement models. Therefore, the result of total delay includes effects of tropospheric delay, ionospheric delay, charged particle delay, antenna offset delay, and tropospheric refraction delay. The computed measurement data were validated by comparison with the results from Orbit Determination ToolBoX (ODTBX).

  • One-way laser ranging technology is applied for the precise orbit determination of LRO, which is the first trial for supporting the missions of lunar or planetary spacecraft. In this paper, LRO payload and ground system are discussed for LRO laser ranging, and some errors effecting on time of flight and tracking mount accuracy are analyzed. Additionally several technologies are also analyzed to make laser pulses shot from ground stations to arrive in the LRO earth window. Measurement data of LRO laser ranging verified that these technologies could be implemented for one-way laser ranging of lunar spacecraft.

  • In the communication between satellite and ground station, data rate can be determined from the data volume and required transmission time. Increasing data rate can be limited according to the available bandwidth. For the reason, it has been popularly studying on high spectral-efficient modulation scheme in large volume data application such as digital video broadcasting service. This paper presents the conceptual design of UHRIT broadcasting in GEO-KOMPSAT-2A (GK2A) mission by using DVB-S2 standard. Based on the recently determined data rate, UHRIT bandwidth was calculated at the various modulation schemes and code rates of DVB-S2 standard. Receiving performance of global user station was also evaluated thorough link analysis by considering that user station is located at the edge of beam coverage. Finally, maximum data rate was analyzed in a situation that COMS HRIT bandwidth should be alternatively applied for UHRIT downlink.

Implementation of CCSDS Telecommand Decryptor in Geostationary Communications Satellite (정지궤도 통신위성의 CCSDS 원격명령 암호복호기 구현)

  • In this paper, a CCSDS(Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems) telecommand(TC) decryptor for the security of geostationary communications satellite was implemented. For the confidentiality of CCSDS TC datalink security, Option-A which implements the security services below the transfer sublayer was selected. Also CFB(Cipher Feedback) operation mode of DES(Data Encryption Standard) was used for the encryption of 56-bit data bits in 64-bit codeblock. To verify Decryptor function, the DES CFB logic implemented on A54SX32 FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) was integrated with interface and control logics in a PCB(Printed Circuit Board). Using a function test PC, the encrypted codeblocks were generated, transferred into the decryptor, decrypted, and the decrypted codeblocks were transmitted to the function test PC, and then compared with the source codeblocks. Through LED(Light Emitting Diode) ON operation by driving the relay related to Op-code decoded and the comparison between the codeblock output waveforms measured and those simulated, the telecommand decryptor function was verified.

  • 차량 정보 수집장치는 차량 상태 정보 및 차량 내 영상 정보를 실시간으로 정지궤도 위성으로 송신하여 관심 차량에 대한 모니터링을 가능하게 한다. 이 장치는 저궤도 관측 위성을 통하여 기확보된 영상 데이터 및 그 데이터의 처리 기술과 접목되어 향후 산업 물류 이동 및 중요 물자 수송분야에 있어서 널리 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • 가상 현실 네비게이션을 위한 전방향 트레드밀은 사용자가 걷거나 달리면서 물리적으로 고정된 공간 내에 사용자를 유지할 수 있도록 지면 모션을 시뮬레이션하는 장비이다. 이러한 트레드밀 시스템의 성능이나 안정성을 정량적으로 측정하거나 분석하기가 어렵기 때문에 이전의 연구에서는 주관적 설문 조사와 같은 정성적 분석 방법을 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 인간의 보행 경로와 유사한 궤도를 따라 움직이는 무인 차량 시스템을 이용한 새로운 정량적 데이터 측정 방법을 제안한다. 무인 차량 시스템은 미리 정의 된 인간의 보행 동작을 시뮬레이션하고 트레드밀 시스템에 대한 제어 입력을 제공하며, 다축 가속 및 방향과 같은 차량의 동적 데이터를 측정 할 수 있다. 또한 이 데이터는 평상시의 정기 또는 다른 제어 알고리즘과의 비교를 수행할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 궤적 시뮬레이션 모듈, 데이터 수집 모듈, 성능 평가 모듈 등 전방향 트레드밀에 대한 정량 분석 방법의 설계 구조 및 초기구현 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

A Study on Machine Learning-Based Real-Time Automated Measurement Data Analysis Techniques (머신러닝 기반의 실시간 자동화계측 데이터 분석 기법 연구)

  • It was analyzed that the volume of deep excavation works adjacent to existing underground structures is increasing according to the population growth and density of cities. Currently, many underground structures and tracks are damaged by external factors, and the cause is analyzed based on the measurement results in the tunnel, and measurements are being made for post-processing, not for prevention. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect on the deformation of the structure due to the excavation work adjacent to the urban railway track in use. In addition, the safety of structures is evaluated through machine learning techniques for displacement of structures before damage and destruction of underground structures and tracks due to external factors. As a result of the analysis, it was analyzed that the model suitable for predicting the structure management standard value time in the analyzed dataset was a polynomial regression machine. Since it may be limited to the data applied in this study, future research is needed to increase the diversity of structural conditions and the amount of data.

Reliability improvement methods of AF track circuits for the train control system (열차내 연산시스템용 AF궤도회로 신뢰성향상 방안 연구)

  • The AF track circuit that detecting train position and transmitting various train control data for DTG to the train on-board is composed of single operation system. If a failure occurs on this system, the driver should be operate the train by manually until the system is restored, because the system cannot control switch machines and signals by automatically. In this process the human error affects to the train delay, collision, derailment and critical safety accident. Therefore, this document has analyzed the effects that each failure mode influences on system and train, and quantified the failure valuation point and class. Basis on this quantified analysis result, MTBF increased and MTTR decreased and failure number also decreased by adopting the independent installation of power supply, the replacement of defected capacitors, the installation of resister cooling system and the improvement of maintenance methods. And the failure factors of AF track circuits were decreased by conducting the preventive maintenance which is a quantitative way of maintenance system by experience.

Development of an Internet Based GPS Data Processing Service (인터넷 기반 GPS 데이터 처리 서비스에 관한 연구)

  • As GPS equipments improve, one can acquire GPS data easily in the field. To obtain precise and accurate coordinates, however, post processing is additionally required and the processing needs high degree of skills. Besides, it is very common that we cannot operate processing softwares in the field because the required system environment is usually not prepared. The aim of this study is the development of an internet-based GPS data processing service. For post processing, we used GIPSY developed by JPL. It has many advantages such as obtaining coordinates quickly by using precise or predicted ephemeris. This service proceeds as following orders by interlocking GIPSY software and internet service which is operated on a Linux platform: Users upload the raw data file on the internet, then GIPSY runs automatically and then the user gets the result in the field. We use an Apache web server as the hosting program and PHP scripts are used in coding web pages. The total processing time including data-uploading was around 30 seconds for a 24-hour data with a 30-second sampling rate.
