Evaluation of Combustion Mechanism of Droplet Cluster in Premixed Spray Flame by Simultaneous Time-Series Measurement (동시 시계열 계측에 의한 예혼합 분무화염 내 유적군 연소기구의 평가)

  • To evaluate the combustion mechanism of each droplet cluster downstream of the premixed spray flame, the simultaneous time-series measurements were conducted by using optical measurement system consisting of laser tomography, multi-color integrated Cassegrain receiving optics (MICRO) and phase Doppler anemometer (PDA). Furthermore, the group combustion number of droplet cluster was estimated experimentally, and the combustion mechanism of droplet cluster was examined applying the theoretical analysis. The group combustion number, $G_c$, was experimentally estimated about all droplet cluster verified by planar images, and it was classified into the internal group combustion mode and the external group combustion mode according to the theoretical analysis. It is found that there are cases in which the group combustion number estimated experimentally for droplet cluster agree or disagree with the classification by theoretical analysis. The reason of disagreement is considered due to that the group combustion number was only estimated by the geometrical arrangement of droplets in cluster, and that the actual phenomenon is three-dimensional but the measurement system is two-dimensional.

  • Combustion of magnesium dust particle were fabricated test devices and combustion experiments were carried out. The ignition delay time were measured in change of magnesium particle mass flow rate in premixed flame. According to increasing magnesium particle mass flow rate, ignition delay time were more shorter. In addition, magnesium dust combustion temperature were measured different particle sizes and o/f ratio by two wavelength pyrometry. Dust combustion flame temperature is almost similarly, through to equivalence ratio, confirm the combustion flame temperature range characteristics.

Clinical Spectra of Auto-amputated Polyps: Comparison of Juvenile Polyps and Meckel's Diverticula (자동절제 대장 용종의 임상 양상: 연소성 용종 및 멕켈 게실과의 비교)

  • Purpose: The manner of rectal bleeding of auto-amputated polyps (AP) is similar to juvenile polyps (JP) or Meckel's diverticula (MD). We conducted this study to characterize the clinical spectrum of AP. Methods: Fourteen patients were enrolled this study who were diagnosed AP due to painless rectal bleeding. The clinical data of AP was assessed and then compared with the clinical data of JP and MD retrospectively. Results: The prevalence of AP was 10.4% (14/135) and high in younger patients compared with that of JP (p=0.042 below 2 years). Whereas JP was more common in patients aged 2 to 5 years (p=0.005). Male was predominant in AP (p=0.008 AP vs JP). The manner of rectal bleeding in AP group was sudden and transient. There was no significant difference in time interval between onset of rectal bleeding and diagnosis between the 3 groups. However AP was diagnosed in 9 patients (64.3%) within 7 days after onset of rectal bleeding, but JP was diagnosed in 5 patients (4.1%) in the same period (p<0.001). All of AP were located in the rectum and the sigmoid colon. The mean hemoglobin was 11.3${\pm}$1.5 g/dL in AP, 11.8${\pm}$1.3 g/dL in JP, and 8.4${\pm}$1.2 g/dL in MD (p<0.001, only significant in MD). Conclusion: AP may be considered in male older than 1 year with transient and sudden onset or increase of painless rectal bleeding without drop of hemoglobin level.

Non-Steady Group Combustion of Liquid Fuel Droplets (액체연료 액적군 의 비정상 집단연소)

  • A non-steady group combustion model of a spherical droplets cloud has been developed to access the non-steady effects of collective behavior of fuel droplets on combustion characteristics and cloud structure. A system of conservation equations of droplets cloud in axisymmetric spherical coordinate was solved by numerical methods for n-Butylbenzene(C$_{10}$ / $H_{14}$) It was found that the effect of initial droplet size on combustion characteristics is dominated compare with effects of cloud size and number density of droplets. For dense droplets cloud, external group combustion mode is established during main part of cloud life time, and internal and single droplet combustion modes are simultaneously established for the dilute droplets cloud. Radius of cloud and external envelope flame are slowly decreased during main part of cloud life time, and suddenly decreased at end of combustion period.d.

  • A theoretical analysis is carried out to predict the characteristics of transient ignition phenomena for the spherical fuel droplets cloud with non-uniform droplet size and number density distribution. Numerical calculations are performed for various cases depending on the combinations of the major parameters such as ambient temperature and initial distributions of droplet size and number density. The results of present study show that the ignition delay decreases for higher ambient temperature and smaller droplet size. Droplets cloud of hollow type with outer concentrated distribution ignites most rapidly.

원통형 연소실내 분무된 액적군의 화염전파에 관한 수치해석

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차엔진에 대한 응용의 일환으로써 밀폐된 축대칭 연소실내 의 정지하고 있는 공기에 분사에 의해 형성된 분무액적들을 점화원을 이용하여 화염을 생성시키고 그에 따른 화염전파 및 낮은 마하수에서의 유동현상과 이상간의 물리적 관 계를 다차원 유한차분법에 의한 물리적인 지배방정식의 동시해법인 ALE(Arbitrary La- ngrangian Eulerian)방법으로 구성되어 있는 CONCHAS-code를 이용하여 해석하고, 연료 액적의 분사각도, 크기 및 연소실내 기체유동의 각속도의 변화에 의한 분무연소의 과 도적특성을 고찰하고자 한다.

An Elementary Study on the Combustion Mechanism of Levitated Droplet Clusters by Ultrasonic Wave (초음파를 이용한 부상유적군의 연소기구에 관한 기초연구)

  • This paper describes to observe the combustion process of only one droplet cluster. In this study, liquid fuel was atomized by ultrasonic wave to form an acoustically levitated droplet cluster. In order to elucidate the detailed structure of burning process of the droplet cluster, laser tomography method was applied. Time-series planar images of fuel droplets were processed and diameter of the each droplet was calculated based on the Mie-scattering theory. Using these data, the modified droplet group combustion number was estimated in time-series. As the result, when the internal droplet group combustion occur, the modified group combustion number dose not decrease monotonically, but show a tow-staged decreasing process. In all case of combustion process, combustion reactions were measured two types that combustion speed was fast and slow. It was casued by difference of concentration degree and droplet size distribution.

Development of a One-Group Cross Section Data Base of the ORIGEN2 Computer Code for Research Reactor Applications (ORIGEN2 전산코드를 위한 연구로용 1군 단면적 데이타베이스 개발)

  • A one-group cross section data base of the ORIGEN2 computer code was developed for research reactor applications. For this, ENDF/B-IV and -V data were processed using the NJOY code system into 69-group data. The burnup-dependent weighting spectra for KMRR were calculated with the WIMS-KAERI computer code, and then the 69-group data were collapsed to one-group using the spectra. The ORIGEN2-predicted burnup-dependent acti-nide compositions of KMRR spent fuel using the newly developed data base show a good agreement with the results of detailed multigroup transport calculation. In addition, the burnup characteristics of KMRR spent fuel was analyzed with the new data base.

등가연소도 최적화를 위한AMBIDEXTER 핵연료 재생공정의 시간상수 특성화 연구

  • AMBIDEXTER(Advanced Molten-Salt Break even Inherently-Safe Dual-Mission EXperiment & TEst Reactor)는 토륨-우라늄 연료주기의 핵적자활성 요건을 설계하는 방법으로써 핵분열중간 생성물인 $^{233}$ Pa의 시간격리, 노내 방사성물질 농도저감, 잉여반응도 및 증식률향상을 위해 핵분열 생성물질의 온라인 정화.처리.재생 개념을 채택하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 AMBIDEXTER 로심의 핵분열성물질의 연소와 온라인 정화.처리에 따른 핵연료내 원소분포 변화를 기술하기 위해 핵분열생성물질의 평형포화농도에 대응하는 등가연소도(Equivalent Burnup)를 정의하고 이를 노심의 핵적자활성 요건에 대해 최적화하는 핵연료 정화공정의 시간상수 특성을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 핵분열생성물질농도의 동특성은 ORIGEN2 코드에 내장된 연속재처리 모델을 이용하여 해석하였으며 실용화가 입증된 후보정화공정들을 고려하여 모든 핵종을 5종의 핵종군으로 분류하여 평가하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 유효정화주기를 0.1 (노심장전량/일)로 연속재처리 할 때 노심내 포화등 가연소도는 약 650 (MWD/TeH.E.)로 대응되며 이때 동일한 핵연료량으로부터 생성된 노내 핵분 열생성물질 평형농도는 최대연소도 33000MWD/TeU의 PWR 평형노심 BOC시의 대비해 약 1/10 에 해당하는 양이 잔유하는 것으로 나타났다.
