This study aims to evaluate the quality of CD-ROM databases: Korean MARC on Disc and Korean National Bibliographies on CD-ROM. The five criteria(accuracy, completeness, consistency on the quality of data itself and ease of use, variety of retrieval function on the quality of database services) are used to measure their quality. The purpose of this study was to diagnose the quality of two CD-ROM databases mentioned above and to analyses the measured result of quality comparatively and to find out the problems of them and also to provide possible suggestions for their improvements.

이 연구는 국내 독도도서관의 운영현황을 분석하기 위해 국회도서관 독도자료실, 동북아 역사자료실, 세종대학교 독도종합연구소, KMI 독도 해양영토연구센터, KIOST 해양과학도서관 5개 기관을 대상으로 담당자 심층인터뷰를 실시하였다. 분석결과 독도자료실(코너)로 운영되고 있는 곳은 단 2곳이며, 대부분 1인의 사서가 운영하고 있다. 또한 자료수집은 비정기적인 기증과 구입에 의존하고 있고 성문화된 장서개발정책은 부재하였다. 독도자료실의 운영활성화를 위한 방안으로 자료확충을 위한 국가정책지원, 독도자료 통합포털시스템 구축, 독도유관기관간 협력 네트워크 구축을 제안하였다.

지난 4월 12일 본회는 이효상 국회의장님, 김형석 교수님 및 이종문 전사무국장님을 모시고 건설회관 강당에서 금년도 도서관주간기념강연회를 개최하였다. 이날의 강연회에는 현직도서관인, 도서관학과 재학생 및 일반시민 300여명이 참집한 가운데 성대하고도 뜻 있는 잔치가 베풀어졌다. 이에 세 분 연사님들의 강연요지를 수록하여 이 모임을 기념코자 한다.

This study was conducted to suggest the ways of improving legislative information services in the National Assembly Library based on the information needs of the legislative support organization arising from the legislation process done by the National Assembly Members. For the purpose, 20 users of legislative support organizations were interviewed in depth. Based on the analysis of the results, the study suggested the improvement proposals in the areas of services and system. Service improvement reflected the information needs of overseas legislative cases, the need for supplementing policy information, and the areas that need to be promoted Second, in the area of system improvement, it was proposed to raise the service awareness of the legal information system centered on foreign legal information and to operate personalized service that can provide differentiated information services for each legislative support organization.

From the beginning of the digital age, the need for cultural heritage institutions to share information resources and integrate services has increased, causing many countries to make efforts for cooperation and integration. In line with this, this study examines the similarities and differences between the National Diet Library of Japan and the National Archives of Japan, seeking ways for further cooperation between the two organizations. Their websites, articles, and legislations were reviewed to analyze their histories, systems, laws, policies, and services. In conclusion, building an integrated database for materials in history and an archive for disaster information, as well as conducting joint exhibitions and learning programs, were drawn as viable ways for collaboration.
