Service-based Competitive Effects in Austrian Fixed Telecommunication Market (호주 유선시장의 서비스기반 경쟁효과)

  • The introduction of reseller In Australian Fixed Telecommunication Market resulted in the reduction of Telstra's local call market share by 13 percent and average fall rate was reduced. Thus, Telstra increased basic rate at 14.5 percent to compensate loss revenue in the local call market. With the deployment of carrier pre-selection of long distance and international calls, it reduced long distance rate at 23.5 percent and international tall rate at 53 percent, and increased the Churn rate. Therefore, the deployment of service-based competition brought efficient results for long distance and international call market. However, LM market created 13.4 percent reduction in call rates, complications in charge system, technical barriers and the preference of one-bill by customers.

  • This paper examines the extent of China's market liberalization in the construction market seen through the point of view of WTO agreements and Korea-China FTA. Since the environment set by these agreements form the institutional background that Korean firms must work with to successfully access the market, the Korean government must work to reduce Chinese barriers as much as possible through international negotiations on these agreements. The paper sets out three goals for negotiations and the appropriate agreements and fora the government can use to advance these goals.

  • 세계 환경산업 시장은 전 지구적 환경문제와 국제 환경기준 강화로 빠른 속도로 성장해 2020년에는 1조900억 달러의 거대시장으로 확대될 전망이다. 에너지 및 환경분야에 대한 기업의 해외진출도 늘어나고 있다. 이에 에스코 산업도 글로벌 시장 개척의 필요성에 직면하고 있다. 지피지기 백전백승이라는 말이 있다. 해외 환경산업시장을 파악하고 국내 해외시장 개척지원 서비스를 활용하는 것이 필요할 때다. 지경부는 글로벌 경쟁력 강화를 위한 해외진출기업 지원방안을 모색하고 있고 환경부는 국제 공동 연구사업, 개발도상국 마스터플랜 수립지원 등을 시작으로 구체적으로 기업의 해외진출을 돕고 있다. 법무부는 해외진출기업 법률지원사업을 실시하고 있으며 중기청과 KOTRA는 '녹색중소기업 해외진출지원사업'을 실시하고 있다. 각종 부처에서 지원하는 해외진출 방안에 대해 살펴보고 에스코의 해외시장 진출 전략을 이에 적용해본다.

The Effects of International Entrepreneurial-orientation on the Export performance of Chinese Export company - The moderating Effects of degree of International and Market dynamism - (중국 수출기업의 국제기업가지향성이 수출성과에 미치는 영향 - 국제화정도와 시장역동성의 조절효과를 중심으로 -)

  • Recent studies shows that international entrepreneurship orientation is recognized as a very important tool for improving corporate performance in international business activities. However, these relationships show various research results. Therefore, it can be a very interesting research topic to examine whether these relationships are linear or non-linear when selected as a target in developing country like China. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the effects of international entrepreneurship orientation on the export performance is non-liner type in China's manufacturing firms. And investigated the moderating role of degree of internationalization and market dynamism relative to the relationship between the international entrepreneurial-orientation and the export performance. A total of 478 questionnaires were used for the hypothesis test. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, there is a J-shaped. relationship between international entrepreneurship orientation and export performance. Second, degree of Internationalization strengthened the reverse J-shaped relationship between international entrepreneurship orientation and export performance. Finally, degree of internationalization and market dynamics show that J-shaped relationship between international entrepreneurial orientation and export performance is strengthened. The results of the study's theoretical contribution and the managerial contribution is as followed. As a theoretical contribution, it is confirmed that international entrepreneurial orientation (J-shaped) and export performance form a non-linear relationship, and it is possible to make an empirical contribution that can newly approach the relationship between international entrepreneurial orientation and export performance. The managerial contribution suggests that China's exporting companies have a higher degree of Internationalization in their international business activities and that the higher the dynamics of the overseas markets, the more advanced the international entrepreneurial behavior should be required to improve the export performance.

Determinants of International Standardization: An Empirical Analysis in the ICT field (ICT 국제표준화 결정요인에 관한 실증분석 연구)

  • This study is an attempt to identify factors determining the success of international standardization and understand the relationship between the factors, such as government-driven standardization activities. Six factors were identified through factor analysis; namely, 'Direct government support', 'Indirect government support', 'Utilization of standardization bodies', 'Standardization strategy', 'Attainment of a dominant market power', and 'Adoption as an international standard.' The results showed that firstly, support from the government, whether direct or indirect, had no direct effect on the outcome of international standardization efforts, but produced an indirect influence on it through mediating factors such as the attainment of a dominant market power. Secondly, the attainment of a dominant market power proved to be the most important success factor of international standardization, suggesting that the government must direct its efforts to help boost the market power of target standards through measures like promoting a timely market entry and the development of high-quality standards, in a manner to induce market satisfaction, increasing lock-in effects and building a quasi-vertical integration system. Thirdly, direct support from the government holds the key to the success of international standardization with de jure standardization bodies, while the strategic use of standardization bodies appears the most important for the positive outcome of standardization concerning de facto standardization bodies.

A Study on Policy Model for Improving Market Performance of Korean Performing Arts in International Cultural Exchanges (국제문화교류에서 전통공연예술의 시장성과 제고를 위한 정책 모형 연구)

  • It is recognized universally that international cultural exchanges have the potential to weaken ethnic rivalries and conflicts and promote cultural diversity rather than commercial interests. However, there are often cases in which these exchanges are transformed into private businesses with a great success in markets due to changes in cultural consumption patterns. This research aims to analyze the performance of international cultural exchanges and to develop a policy model that can guide the overseas market performance for Korean traditional performing arts. This study analyzes domestic and foreign cases for comparison. The domestic case is drawn from the research report published by Korea Arts Management Service and the foreign case is Ireland's Riverdance. The results of this study indicate that the policy political model in which a traditional culture may be translated globally with innovative performing activities has the potential to raise market performance overseas.

  • 전세계에 걸쳐 우리 인간이 직 간접적으로 섭취하고 있는 곡물은 약 20억톤에 달하고 있다. 이 곡물문제가 인간의 생존권의 문제와 직결되는 관계로 세계 각국은 안정적인 곡물확보를 도모하고자 여러 가지 자구책을 강구해오고 있다. 그러나 기사이변과 생산증가를 앞지르는 소비증가로 말미암아 곡물의 수급상황은 항상 불안정해 왔고, 세계 곡물시장은 일부국가에 의해 독과점 되고 있는 실정이다. '07년 말부터 이어진 세계사료곡물의 생산량 및 재고량 감소, 식물성 박류의 수요증가, 해상운임의 급상승으로 이어진 곡물가격의 상승은 국내 배합사료업계는 물론이거니와 양축농가의 극심한 경영악화를 초래하게 만들었다. 다행히 지난 '09년 하반기 이후국제곡물가격 시세가 기상 호전에 따른 작황의 호조, 해상운임(Ocean Freight)의 하락, 생산량 및 재고량 증가전망 등의 여러요인과 맞물려 꾸준히 안정세를 유지하고 있어 사상 유례없던 고가의 수입곡물과 맞서 싸우던 배합사료 시장 및 축산농가들의 마음을 한시름 놓게 만들었다. 이에 불안정한 국제곡물가격 흐름의 이해를 돕고자, 사료용 원료로 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 옥수수, 소맥, 대두 및 대두박의 품목별 최근 시장동향과 향후 가격전망 등을 살펴보고, 더불어 향후 국내 사료 시장의 중 장기적 과제인 사료비 절감을 통한 축산물 생산비 절감 방안을 살펴보기로 한다.

A Comparative Study on the International Factoring of Korea, China and Japan (한·중·일 국제팩토링에 관한 비교연구)

  • International factoring is necessary for small & medium export companies because using documentary credit has been declined and credit transaction has increased. In Korea, however, only EXIM bank supports the factoring service, apart from foreign banks. Even though the amount of international factoring has increased in Korea, factoring service is at a standstill, compared to its trade volume. Perhaps there are a few reasons but the biggest reason for the indifference to the factoring service is a lack of understanding and inadequate legal system in Korea. This paper aims to compare factoring service in Korea with that of China and Japan. And it also suggests the improvement of problems to the factoring service by analysing the examples of business practice.
