Stress History Evaluation for Truss Bridge with Local Damages by Using Global-Local Model Combination (전체해석과 국부해석 조합법을 이용한 국부결함이 있는 트러스교 응력이력해석)

  • This study predicts the stress history for truss bridge with local damages by using global-local model combination method. For this end, the global structure is modeled by 3D frame elements and the selected local details are modeled by shell elements. Then superposition principle enable the global-local model to be combined interactively. Because the frame model cannot consider the rigidity of gusset plate and the interation of structural members due to the complexity of stress distribution in truss connection. The section modification factors are proposed to calibrate the stiffness of global frame element. The global-local model combination is verified by comparing the numerical results with experimental data obtained from the proof loading test to the operating truss bridge. Furthermore, stress histrories of the truss bridge are generated in the consideration of the rigidity of truss connection with local damage by using the combination method.

  • 본 논문에서는 켤레구배법을 이용해 전체-국부 확장함수를 지닌 일반유한요소법을 해석하는 방식을 제안한다. 이 기법은 편미분방정식의 해에 대한 정보가 충분하지 않은 경우에도 수치해석적인 방법으로 일반 유한요소법의 확장함수를 구성할 수 있으며 해석 과정 중 추가의 계산 없이 좋은 성능을 지닌 전처리값 및 초기 추측치를 활용할 수 있어 국부적으로 복잡한 거동을 보이는 문제의 해석에 유리하다. 본 논문에 포함된 수치해석 예제의 결과는 제안된 기법이 가우스 소거법과 같은 직접 솔버를 이용하는 경우보다 수치 해석적으로 더 효율적임을 보여준다.

  • Slippage of beam longitudinal reinforcement at beam-column connections is an important cause of damage to reinforced concrete frames under static and dynamic loads, This paper summarizes the results of an experimen¬tal study on the effects of confinements and compressive strength of concrete on the local bond stress-slip cha¬racteristics of deformed bars. I t is concluded from experimental results that, as far as the bond splittmg cracks are restrained by the vertical column reinforcement, confinement of concrete by transverse reinforcement has insignigicant direct effect on the local bond behavior. The ultimate bond strength, however, Increases pro¬portionally with the square root of concrete compressive strength. An empirical model was developed for local bond st ressslip relationslip of deformed bars in confined concrete of different compressive strengths.

  • 지하구조체를 안전하고 경제적으로 형성시키기 위해서는 구조계 구성인자의 재료특성에 대한 정확한 파악과 구조계의 거동에 대한 정확한 해석이 요구된다. 즉, 실제문제를 수치적으로 모형화하고 구조거동을 이해하기 위해서는 대상 암반체의 초기응력상태와 재료특성을 정확히 반영해야 한다. 이러한 암반의 역학적 특성치는 실험실시험이나 현장시험에 의해 구할 수 있으나, 이는 측정지점 주위의 국부적인 영역에 대한 결과이므로 구조체 전체에 대한 특성을 파악하는데 어려움이 있다. (중략)

  • 원자력발전소의 콘크리트 격납용기구조물등과 같이 안전성이 높게 요구되는 구조물들은 예기치 않은 혹은 부주의한 사고로 인하여 발생하는 비산물체에 의한 충격에 충분히 저항할 수 있도록 설계되어야 한다. 이러한 물체에 의한 충격은 벽면의 국부적인 피해와 벽 전체의 전반휨응답으로 나타나며, 이에 저항하기 위해서는 벽체의 관통이나 스캐빙(scabbing)이 일어나지 않도록 벽두께를 결정하여야 하고 또한, 파괴가 일어나지 않도록 벽체를 설계하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 지금까지 연구된 충격현상에 대한 이론 및 실험결과를 토대로 하여 벽면의 국부효가 발생시 이와 동시에 진행되는 탄성효과 및 전반거동효과를 고려하여 관입깊이를 계산할 수 있는 이론을 유도하였으며, 기존의 실험결과를 이용하여 이론적인 결점을 보완한 반이론식을 제안하였다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 실험결과와 기존식성충격과 소성충격을 구분짓는 스폴링속도에 대한 개념을 제시하였다. 본 논문은 충격을 받는 철근콘크리트 구조물의 벽체설계에 유용한 토대를 제공할 것으로 사료된다.

  • The plane strain test can reproduce the real field condition and failure behavior precisely over other laboratory shear tests. Accordingly, this test has been utilized to investigate the shearing behaviors associated with overall failure behavior and local deformation of soils. However, most plane strain tests have been carried out with restrained end plates due to difficulties in manufacturing the equipment and also performing it. This restraint induces different results with real field because of shear stress on end plates. In this study, plane strain tests with/without bottom plate restraint were performed on Jumunjin-sand. The measurement of overall and local deformation was accomplished by digital image correlation technique as well as external LVDT. By applying digital image correlation method using two consecutive images captured through the transparent wall, local deformation behavior of various parts inside the specimen was estimated. And the formation and development of shear band caused by the restrained effect of end plate and the deformation mechanism of sand under plane strain condition were examined.

  • The problem addressed in this study is how to analytically treat the partial composite action for wall panels. An equation, derived for wood-joist floor systems, which determines deflections for beams with partial composite action is introduced. The equation is applied to the calculation of the mid-span deflection for gypsum-sheathed, cold-formed steel was stud panels. The objective of this study is to properly reflect the influence of the following factors in the calculation of mid-span deflection for the panel: connection slip, local buckling, perforations in the stud web, and effects from joints in the sheathing. Predicted deflections based on an upper bound for connection rigidity were closest to experimental deflections.

  • In this paper, the wrinkling behavior of vertically creased corner-loaded square membranes was studied using geometrically nonlinear post-buckling analysis. The membranes were modeled using shell elements, and the meshes were seeded with semi-random geometrical imperfection to instigate the buckling deformation. A pristine and creased membranes with various initial deployment angles were considered in the analyses and the results were compared. Results showed that local wrinkles initiated near the corner where the higher load was applied, which grew to form a single diagonal global wrinkle as the load ratio increased. It was also found that the local wrinkle initiation and the global wrinkle formation were significantly dependent on the initial deployment angles.

  • This study presented a composite beam element for modeling the inelastic behavior of the steel beam, which has composite slabs in steel moment frames that are subjected to earthquake ground motions. The effects of composite slabs on the seismic behavior of steel moment frames were investigated. The element can be considered as a single-component series hinge type model whose predicted analytical results were consistent with the experimental results. Likewise, the element showed a significantly better performance than the bare steel beam elements. The composite model can also predict more accurately the local deformation demands and overall response of structural systems under earthquake loading compared with the bare steel models. Therefore, composite stabs can significantly affect locally and globally predicted responses of steel moment frames.
