국립생물자원관 표본관(KB)에 소장된 관속식물 33종(94점)의 기준표본 정보에 대한 자료를 정리하고, 타 기관 또는 대학에서 국립생물자원관으로 기증된 기준표본 정보를 제공하고자 한다. 정기준표본(holotype) 15점, 동기준표본(isotype) 57점, 종기준표본(paratype) 22점이 국립생물자원관에 소장되어 있으며, 서울대학교(SNU), 아주대학교(AJOU), 전북대학교(JNU), 충북대학교(CBU), 한국식물연구원(KPRI), 한림대학교(HHU)의 일부 기준표본이 국립생물자원관으로 새로이 이전되었다. 소장된 기준표본의 종조성은 양치식물 7분류군, 쌍자엽식물 22분류군, 단자엽식물 4분류군으로 확인되었으며, 대표적인 속으로는 제주고사리삼속(한반도 고유속), 현호색속(7분류군)과 물부추속(4분류군) 등이 있다. 소장된 기준표본의 대표적인 명명자로는 김영동 교수, 박종욱 교수, 선병윤 교수, 오병운 교수, 최홍근 교수, 현진오 박사 등이 확인되었다. 국가별로는 28분류군이 한반도산이며, 미얀마와 캄보디아가 각각 2분류군, 라오스산이 1분류군으로 조사되었고, 이중 27분류군이 한반도 고유종으로 평가되었다.

Many of the historic plant specimens collected from the Korean Peninsula in the early 20th century deposited in herbaria in Korea were destroyed during the Korean War. However, duplicates of the specimens deposited in the Herbarium of the University of Tokyo (TI) remained unharmed. We examined historic plant specimens, identified undetermined specimens, and made a list to provide fundamental information on the early taxonomic history of Korea. One set of duplicate specimens was donated by TI and deposited into the Chonnam National University herbarium (CNU) and into the herbarium of the National Institute of Biological Resources in Korea (KB).

The pselaphine beetle, tribe Bythinoplectini is recorded from Korea for the first time, represented by a single species, Parapyxidicerus carinatus Sawada, 1964 previously only known from Japan. Three specimens were collected in northern part of South Korea (Gyeonggi and Gangwon Provinces) by sifting leaf litter near stream. Illustrations of a habitus, diagnostic characteristics of the tribe, genus and species, and distributional map are provided.

서리이끼속(Racomitrium Brid.)은 고깔바위이끼과(Grimmiaceae)에 속하며 전 세계에 약 80여종이 알려져 있다. 이 중 한국산 서리이끼속은 18종이 보고되어 있으며, 그 중 6종은 1900년대 초반 한반도에서 최초 발견되어 신종으로 보고되었다. 서리이끼속 이끼류는 주로 양지바른 바위나 사질토양 등에 서식하고, 건조에 강한 것으로 알려져 있다. 원예·조경 분야에서 실내 벽면 및 옥상 녹화용 자원식물로 서리이끼속은 주로 늦은서리이끼(Racomitrium japonicum)와 모래이끼(Racomitrium canescens)가 활용되고 있다. 국내에서도 자원식물로써 선태류에 대한 관심이 증대함에 따라 자생 선태류에 대한 형태적 특징과 함께 생육환경에 대한 정보 제공 요구 또한 증가하고 있다. 이에, 본 연구는 자원식물로 활용이 가능한 한반도산 서리이끼속의 형태·생태적 특징을 파악하고자 하였으며, 기준표본 원산지가 한반도인 서리이끼속 6종을 우선하여 서식 환경 특징을 파악하고자 한다.

This study was carried out to survey the flora of Hongdo Island in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, South Korea. Specimens collected from previous Hongdo flora studies were reexamined using a relevant biodiversity database, and field surveys were carried out 22 times from April of 2003 to October of 2020. Based on the specimens collected during both previous studies and this study, the identified vascular plants of Hongdo consisted of 472 taxa comprising 102 families, 296 genera, 425 species, 6 subspecies, and 41 varieties. Among them, 111 taxa are newly recorded in this study, and 6 taxa are described in detail in terms of their morphological characteristics and habitat. Also, 29 taxa were reviewed or re-identified with corresponding taxonomic annotations. In Korea, Hongdo represents the northern distributional limit of the 4 taxa of Goodyera biflora, Damnacanthus major, Calanthe aristulifera, and Hemerocallis hongdoensis. Moreover, Hosta yingeri and Saussurea polylepis are endemic to Hongdo and nearby islands in Korea. Distribution maps of these species were prepared. Protected species designated by the Ministry of Environment were 7 taxa consisting of 2 taxa of level I, specifically Sedirea japonica and Neofinetia falcata, and 5 taxa of level II, which were Cymbidium macrorhizon, Woodwardia japonica, Dendrobium moniliforme, Calanthe aristulifera, and Bulbophyllum inconspicuum. Red list plants as designated by the National Institute of Biological Resources numbered 11 taxa. Naturalized plants numbered 40 taxa.

The Yellow-dotted butterflyfish, Chaetodon selene is newly reported from Korea based on a single juvenile specimen (28.6 mm SL) collected from rocky reef of the Jwasarido Island, southern Korea. The present specimen represents the first reliable record of C. selene from Korea supported by a voucher specimen. The specimen is characterized by having 12 spines of dorsal fin, and a dark lunate-shaped marking on posterior half of body as well as a vertical black bar crossing eye. A new Korean name, "No-rang-jeom-na-bi-go-gi", is adopted for the species.

We investigated the flora of Gwanmae island and discussed important vascular plants found on the island. We made plant list using voucher specimens collected from Gwanmae island from 2016 to 2021 and deposited in CNU. There are 500 taxa in Gwanmae island, comprising 103 families, 307 genera, 461 species, 4 subspecies, 32 varieties and 3 forms. Eight endemic plants of Korea were found including Saussurea polylepis Nakai. There are 15 red list plants designated by Ministry of Environment including Cleisostoma scolopendrifolium (Makino) Garay and Woodwardia japonica (L. f.) Sm. There are total 126 taxa of floristic regional indicator plants including 4 taxa of level V such as Juniperus procumbens (Siebold ex Endl.) Miq., 4 taxa of level IV such as Wisteria japonica Siebold & Zucc., 45 taxa of level III such as Rubus trifidus Thunb., 16 taxa of level II such as Glehnia littoralis F. Schmidt and 56 taxa of level I such as Carpesium glossophyllum Maxim. There are 32 invasive plants including Cerastium glomeratum Thuill.

Stomaphis (Stomaphis) matsumotoi Sorin, 1995 is reported on Juglans mandshurica Maxim. (Juglandaceae) for the first time in Korea. Photos of live aphids, illustration of slide specimens, and biometric data of apterous viviparous females are presented.

A shrimp goby, Amblyeleotris japonica is reported firstly from Korea, based on a single specimen (70.3 mm in SL) collected at a depth of 14 m in the southern Jejudo Island. The species is characterized by having a lower number of scales in longitudinal series, a rather compressed body, anterior limit of opercular opening located below between posterior margin of eye and preopercle, second dorsal fin with a single spine and 13 soft rays, anal fin with a single spine and 14 soft rays, and five brownish vertical bands on lateral body between head and caudal peduncle when fresh. New Korean names, "Se-u-but-i-mang-dug-sog" and "Bulg-eun-dong-gal-se-u-but-i-mang-dug", are proposed for the genus and the species, respectively.

This study presents the flora of vascular plants on Oenarodo Island, located in Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, Korea. A list of vascular plants was created based on the herbarium of the National Biological Resource Center (NIBR) and the Daejeon University Biology Department herbarium (TUT) collected from field surveys. Based on specimens collected in the field during 21 separate field trips amounting to a total of 21 days conducted between March of 2015 and October of 2017, there are 587 taxa on Oenarodo Island, consisting of 122 families, 364 genera, 538 species, six subspecies, 41 varieties, and two forms. Among the collected plants, those endangered were four taxa, those endemic were 14 taxa, floristic regional indicator plants specially designated by the Ministry of the Environment amounted to 137 taxa, and those naturalized amounted to 46 taxa.
