The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors that encouraged the industrial growth of Koran city gas industry during 1995-2009, by carrying out input-output structural decomposition analysis(IO-SDA) using Syrquin's model. The results show that the main factors which contributed to the growth of the Korean city gas industry are final domestic demand(48.4%) and technological change(38.6%). By examining the results for the three periods of 1995-2000, 2000-2005, and 2005-2009, the tendency of changes between the two main factors is drawn. In contrast to the drastic decreasing tendency of the final domestic demand's contribution to the growth, 84.5%, 18.9%, and 15.4%, respectively for each period, there is an increasing tendency for technological change as seen by the results of 7.4%, 70.0%, and 42.2%, respectively. These findings may be a result from the fact that the rate of gas supply in the residential sector has been saturated recently. They are also reflective of the energy consumption trend of industrial activities as there has been a shift in the approach for supplying energy, from the traditional approach which use fossil fuels to the newer approach which uses environmentally friendly energy sources. For the continued growth of the city gas industry, policymakers sould consider greater investment in the expansion of city gas supply infrastructure for industrial activities rather than for the residential sector.

This study estimated the paper demand and supply using VAR model. And the variance decomposition and impulse response were analyzed using the model. In the model of paper demand, the own price change accounts for about seventeen percent of variation in the demand, and the gross domestic product change accounts for about twenty eight percent of variation in the demand. And the impacts of a shock to the own price and gross domestic product are significant for about six months on the demand for paper. In the model of paper supply, the own price change accounts for about twenty nine percent of variation in the supply, and the pulp price change accounts for about twelve percent of variation in the supply. And the impacts of a shock to the own price and pulp price are significant for about six months on the supply of paper.

Energy is a vital resource for the economic growth and the social development for any country. As the industry becomes more sophisticated and the economy more grows, the electricity demand is increasing. So forecasting electricity demand is an important for electricity suppliers. Forecasting electricity demand makes it possible to distribute electricity demand. As the market for Negawatt market began to grow in Korea from 2014, the prediction of electricity consumption demand becomes more important. Moreover, power consumption forecasting provides a way for demand management to be directly or indirectly participated by consumers in the electricity market. We use Genetic Algorithms to predict the energy demand of the fishing industry in Jeju Island by using GDP, per capita gross national income, value add, and domestic electricity consumption from 1999 to 2011. Genetic Algorithm is useful for finding optimal solutions in various fields. In this paper, genetic algorithm finds optimal parameters. The objective is to find the optimal value of the coefficients used to predict the electricity demand and to minimize the error rate between the predicted value and the actual power consumption values.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the supply and demand structure of the domestic space industry through analysis of industrial concentration index, by sector and dependence on revenue by customer type. As a result of industrial concentration analysis, in the case of space application, a supply monopoly or oligopoly structure was revealed in fields such as satellite broadcasting, space insurance, and satellite navigation. In the field of space equipment manufacturing, referred to as the traditional space industry, a supply monopoly structure appeared only in the field of launch pads and test facilities. As a result of analyzing the dependence on revenue by customer type, the dependence on the demand in the space application field is diversified among foreign countries, private institutions, and others. However, in the case of space equipment manufacturing, it is highly dependent on the demand of public institutions, and it seems that there is a monopsony structure.
