A Study on Metal Bound Rims Adhered to the Brim of Ceramics (도자기 구연에 부착된 금속 테두리 연구)

  • Understanding the whole knowledge of ceramics is essential for a person in charge of conservation of ceramics since their methods of manufacturing or materialistic features have very close relationship with their damaging process. Also, various executions of repair and restoration dealing with any damage in use have to be looked into. The information attained through those studies finds damaging causes of ceramics, which becomes a critical element when choosing a proper conservation treatment method and utilizes as indispensable data for permanent preservation. As part of scrutinizing materials of repair and restoration, this study examines the purpose, date, and the constituents of the materials used in metal bound rims adhered to the brim of ceramics. Among the subjected ceramics, the metal bound rims possible to scientific analysis were gone through element analyses with Portable ${\bullet}\"{I}$-XRF Spectrometer and SEM-EDS while the ingredients of the ceramics difficult to analyze were inferred by eye inspection of exhibition catalogues. The results of this study confirm that metal bound rims consisted of diverse materials were adhered to the brim of ceramics.

Pouch-type Konjac jelly manufacture and quality characteristics of jelly-containing vinegar drinks (식초음료를 첨가한 파우치형 곤약젤리의 제조 및 품질 특성)

  • The quality characteristics of jelly-containing vinegar drinks were divided into three stages in this study. The jelly, which differs from the contents of the vinegar drink, sharply decreased the pH. After sterilization, hardness was significantly decreased, and the formulation was not maintained, which was considered the effect of low pH and high total acidity of vinegar drinks. Different experiments confirmed that pH and sterilization heating conditions were the major quality variables for gelation as both sodium citrate content and jelly hardness were correlated before and after sterilization. The hardness of the jelly, which differs in gel content, correlated with the increase in gelation content both before and after sterilization. Therefore, considering the spout jelly of a vinegar drink, pH of 3.5-3.7 and a content of glucomannan and caragenane mixed gel were considered appropriate to match the product's sensory properties.

The Effects of Multimedia Fairy Tale and Narrative Fairy Tale Lectures on Children's Language Expression Ability and Drawing Representation Ability (멀티미디어 동화수업과 구연동화 수업이 유아의 언어표현력과 그리기 표상능력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to figure out the effects of multimedia fairy tale and narrative fairy tale lectures on children's language expression ability and drawing representation ability. To achieve this, this study was conducted from March to April, 2011 with 50 five-year-old children(25 children in the experimental group and 25 children in the comparative group) in K and S kindergartens at D metropolitan city. The results were as follows. First, the score of children's language expression ability was higher in the multimedia fairy tale lecture group than in the narrative fairy-tale lecture group. Second, the score of children's drawing representation ability was higher in the multimedia fairy tale lecture group than in the narrative fairy-tale lecture group. As for findings stated above, educational activities with multimedia were important in early childhood education. Consequently, children can better understand stories through multimedia fairy tales and various language activities, and improve their language expression ability and drawing representation ability through the process of exploring and drawing heroes in fairy tales. However, they have more need of educational activities, which are complementary to the merit of narrative fairy tale, than educational activities for only multimedia fairy tale lecture.
