어도비는 지난 7월 16일 한국어를 비롯해 중국어, 일본어, 라틴어, 그리스어, 키릴 자모까지 지원하는 오픈 소스 서체 '본고딕(Source Han Sans)'을 출시했다. '본고딕' 오픈 소스서체를 사용하면 글로벌 사용자를 대상으로 한 인쇄물이나 웹 파일을 만들 때 언어에 상관없이 하나의 통일된 서체를 사용할 수 있다.

본고에서는 스마트폰에 이어 최근 출시된 스마트 TV 서비스에 관한 전망을 알아본다. 먼저 스마트TV의 개념을 소개하고 구글 TV 등 현재 서비스되고 있는 스마트 TV의 특징을 분석한다. 또한, 스마트 TV의 미래와 발전 전망을 논의하고 스마트TV 산업 발전을 위해 출범된 국내 스마트TV 포럼의 현황을 알아본다.

지난 3월, 서울에서 세기의 대결이 펼쳐졌다. 구글의 '알파고'와 이세돌 9단의 바둑 대결이 벌어진 것. 결과는 4대 1로 알파고의 승리였다. 인간이 기계에 졌다며 침통해 하는 반응이 쏟아지는 한편, 인공지능에 대한 국민의 관심이 최고조로 달아올랐다. '알파고 쇼크' 이후 인공지능으로 대표되는 최첨단 기술의 다음 단계는 무엇이며, 우리는 과연 어떤 미래를 맞이하게 될 것인지에 대해 갑론을박이 벌어졌다.

검색 엔진을 강화한 구글, 공개 소프트웨어라는 강력한 무기를 장착한 리눅스가 M/S사의 아성을 위협하고 있는 가운데 국내 소프트웨어 부문에도 큰 지각변동이 있을 것으로 보인다. 그러나 이미 포화 직전까지 도달한 국내 시장과 외산제품의 일방적인 선호도를 벗어나지 못하는 소비자들의 인식, 유지보수, 기술력 미흡 등을 이유로 장기적인 관점에서의 손질이 필요하다. 정통부와 업체, 사용자가 도마 위에 오른 소프트웨어 시장을 어떻게 풀어갈 지 알아본다

웨어러블 컴퓨터(Wearable computer)는 시계, 안경, 옷처럼 입고 걸치는 것이 가능한 형태의 정보통신단말기를 뜻한다. 구글 글래스의 발표와 함께 다시 주목을 받게 된 웨어러블컴퓨터는 아직 본격적인 시장이 형성되지 않았음에도 불구하고 정보통신산업 관련자들은 물론 일반인들 사이에서도 대단한 관심을 얻고 있다. 이글에서는 웨어러블 컴퓨터가 지닌 고유의 특성과 가치를 살펴보고 나아가 웨어러블 컴퓨터 산업의 성장 가능성을 살펴보고자 한다.

As the surveillance CCTVs are increasing every year, big data image processing for the CCTV image data has become a hot issue. In this paper, we propose a Hadoop-based big data image processing technique to recognize a vehicle number from a large amount of automatic number plate images taken from CCTVs. We also implement the vehicle route tracking system that displays the moving path of the searched vehicle on Google Maps with the related information together. In order to evaluate the performance we compare and analysis the vehicle number recognition time for a lot of CCTV image data in Hadoop and the single PC environment.

본 논문에서는 가상현실을 이용해 청소체험을 3D 게임에 접목하여 재미와 교육을 함께 접목한 전 연령층을 대상으로 한 체감형 게임 콘텐츠를 개발하였다. 이 가상현실 3D 게임은 제한시간동안 맵에서 돌아다니는 몬스터 처치, 오염물질 정화를 하면서 점수를 획득 할 수 있다. 사용자는 전용 컨트롤러를 스마트폰과 블루투스 페어링을 하고 구글 카드보드를 장착하여 1인칭시점을 통해 게임을 조작할 수 있다. 이 가상현실 3D 게임 개발과 같이 향후 가상현실은 여행/군사/의료 등 다양한 분야에 적용이 되어, 사용자들은 보다 현실적인 체험을 할 수 있다.

In this paper, we measure and analyze strength of Beacon signal in Picocell environment by using the frequency of WiFi of ISM band. It is displaying the value what measured by using a beacon signal measurement smartphone app in using AP area, on Google maps using the PC application. the data measured by using mapped GPS signal and RSSI of beacon signal, and convert this data to Position coordinates for Google map in PC. when use this system, we can understand and analyze changes of radio signal through location where installed AP.

GeoRSS is RSS which contains geospatial information, and it supports to supply diverse kinds of data through mash-up map service like the google map. It helps to implement efficient web service with simple java-scripts, but sometimes initial page loading takes too much time and causes heavy traffic when it includes lots of multimedia data. In this paper, we propose a splitting method of GeoRSS for fast accessing. As the result of experiments, we achieved improvement of browsing speed and reducing of initial data traffic.
