Study on the Design of Streeing Wheels for Maximmum Protection of Drivers during Crash (충돌안정성을 고려한 승용차용 조향핸들의 최적설계에 관한 연구)

  • During crash of a vehicle, most of the kinetic energy of the driver is absorbed by the steering system. The deformation characteristics of the steering system has significant effects on the injury of the driver. A part of the energy is absorbed by the steering wheel and another part by the collapsable steering column. It is believed that strength distribution between the wheel and the column has an important effect on the injury of the driver. A design criterion is suggested for steering wheels for maximum protection of drivers. Tagushi method is used to analyse the effects of design parameters.

  • 탈거리의 발달은 급기야 전 세계를 하루 생활권으로 만들었다. 비행기, 기차, 자동차, 선박 같은 교통수단의 발달은 이른바 글로벌시대를 열어 전 세계가 하나의 가족이 되어 가는데 가장 큰 역할을 했고, 특히 자동차는 사람이나 화물을 운송하는 주요 수단으로서 현대인들에게 의식주 못지않게 중요한 필수품이 되었으며, 전 세계적으로 그 수요가 급속히 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 자동차는 시간과 공간을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있게 하는 등 많은 이익을 주는 반면 교통사고 및 교통체증에 의한 인적, 물적, 경제적 손실 등과 같은 많은 사회적 문제들을 유발시키고 있는 것도 사실이다. 일반적으로 교통사고는 인간적, 차량적, 도로적 요인 등 개개별 요인과 이들의 교호작용에 의해서 발생하기 때문에 차량의 안전운행을 위한 대책은 이들 요인들의 종합적인 분석을 통하여 해결할 수 있다. 이에 따라 운전자와 보행자를 동시에 보호할 수 있고, 운행 시 운전자의 편의를 제공할 수 있는 차량안전시스템 및 이를 위한 제어기술, 정보통신기술, ITS기술, 차량동역학기술 및 차체설계기술 등이 개발 되고 있고, 과거 자동차에서는 볼 수 없었던 시트벨트, 에어백, 범퍼, 차체충격흡수장치, 도어 임팩트 빔 등이 개발되어 교통사고 시 피해를 극소화하는데 기여하고 있다.

  • 인터넷과 개인용 컴퓨터의 도입으로 인해 매일 작업에 컴퓨터를 사용해야하는 비전문적 사용자들이 최근에 양적으로 급격히 증가하고 있다 [Shackel. 1997], 따라서 비전문적 사용자들도 누구나 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 소프트웨어의 개발이 매우 중요한 이슈로 떠오르게 되었다. 특히 웹 사용자들은, 조직 내에서 업무 수행을 위해서 소프트웨어를 사용하는 사용자와는 달리, 사용을 위해 훈련을 하는 것이 일반적으로 불가능하다. 따라서 웹사이트들은 사용성(usability)을 높이는 것이 특히 중요하다 [Nielson, 19991]. 본 논문은 인터넷 웹사이트의 사용성 평가 작업을 수행하기 위한 연구로, 특정 목적을 지닌 정보 시스템으로서 웹사이트의 사용성에 대해 정의하고, 사용자들이 웹사이트의 구조와 정보량, 과업 복잡도에 따라 얼마나 사용하기 편리하다고 인식하고 있으며, 실제 과업을 효과적이고 효율적으로 수행하는 지에 대하여 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 웹사이트의 사용성은 웹사이트의 구조, 정보량, 과업 복잡도에 의해 영향을 받으며, 구조와 정보량의 교호작용에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 논문의 결과는 이제까지 연구자들의 연구를 실증적으로 확인하여 선행연구를 뒷받침하는데 기여하였다. 또한 본 논문의 연구 결과는 웹사이트 설계의 맥락에서, 구체적인 설계의 지침으로 활용될 수 있다.

  • LED칩 (발광 피크: 405nm)과 4 종의 형광체 (Blue, Green, OrangeRed, Red)를 이용하여 D65 표준광원r과 유사한 발광 스펙트럼을 가지는 광원을 제작하였다. 실험계획법을 활용하여 형광체간에 교호작용과 농도 변화에 따른 스펙트럼의 형상 변화 경향을 파악할 수 있었으며, 이들 결과를 실험계획법에 의해 최적화함으로서 D65 표준광원과 유사한 스펙트럼을 가지는 광원을 제작할 수 있었다.

Application of Finite Element Method and Taguchi Method to Reduce Floor Impact Vibration in Apartment Buildings (공동주택의 바닥충격진동 저감을 위한 유한요소법 및 다구찌법의 활용)

  • Finite element method and Taguchi method were used to reduce the floor impact vibration of the reinforced concrete slab in the apartment buildings. At first, experimental results show that sound peak components to influence the rating of floor impact sound insulation were coincident with natural frequencies of the reinforced concrete slab, and there is a high linear relation between floor impact vibration and sound. The tables of orthogonal arrays were used for finite element analysis with 5 factors related to slab shape parameters and its results were analyzed by statistical method. The most effective factor to reduce the floor impact vibration was the length of living/kitchen room and the floor impact vibration was predicted by 30% reduction in the acceleration peak by the optimal design values of the factors.

  • This paper is the result of sensitivity analysis of derailment with respect to the selected suspension elements for the rail vehicle. Derailment phenominon has been explained by the derailment quotient. Thus, the sensitivity of derailment is suggested by a response surface model(RSM) which is a functional relationship between derailment quotient and characteristics of suspension elements. To summarize generation of RSM, we can introduce the procedure of sensitivity analysis as follows. First, to form a RSM, a experiment is performed by a dynamic analysis code, VAMPIRE according to a kind of the design of experiments(DOE). Second, RSM is constructed to a 1$\^$st/ order polynomial and then main effect fators are screened through the stepwise regression. Finally, we can see the sensitivity level through the RSM which only consists of the main effect factors and is expressed by the liner, interaction and quadratic effect terms.

Effects of Planting Density and Tiller Removal Growth and Yield of Sweet Corn Hybrids (재식밀도와 얼자제거가 단 옥수수의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • Two sweet corn hybrids, 'Tanok l' and 'Golden Cross Bantam 70 (GCB 70)' were grown at five plant densities, of 4, 167. 5,556, 6,667. 8, 333, and 11, 111 plants per 10 ares, with or without tiller removal, to determine effects of tiller removal on growth and yield of sweet corn hybrids at various plant densities. Tillers were pulled when less than 15 cm tall. The number of tillers per plant linearly decreased as plant density increased. The two hybrids had similar plant height, ear length and diameter, ear weight and the number of ears per plant and 10 ares. Tanok 1 lodged approximately 20% at above 8,333 plants per 10 ares, while GCB 70 did not lodge at all, at any plant density. Tanok 1 had higher leaf area index (LAI), ear and stover yields than GCB 70. Except for root lodging and LAI, hybrid x plant density interaction was not significant at 5% probability level. Plant density did not affect silking data. Increasing plant density linearly increased plant height, LAI, and stover yield, but linearly decreased ear length, ear weight, and the number of ears per plant. Increase in LAI was greater in Tanok 1 than in GCB 70, with increasing plant density. The relationships between the number of ears and ear yield per 10 ares and plant density were Quadratic. The optimum plant density was estimated to be approximately 6500 plants per 10 ares, using the equation based on ear yield. Except for ear height and LA I, hybrid x tiller removal and plant density x tiller removal interactions were not significant. Hybrid x plant density x tiller removal interaction was not significant for any characters. When averaged over hybrids and plant densities, tiller removal reduced plant height and ear and stover yields by about 3, 10, and 16%, respectively, but did not significantly affect silking date, root lodging, ear length and diameter and the number of ears per plant and per 10 ares. The results indicate that the optimum plant density is approximately 6500 plants per 10 ares, regardless of tiller removal and tillers are not to be removed at any plant density.

Studies on Pathogenicity of Nosema bombycis Naegeli to Parents and Hybrid in the Silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) (원종 및 교잡종에 대한 미립자의 병원성에 관한 연구)

  • Studies on Pathogenicity of Nosema bombycis Naegeli are summarized as follows: 1. The mortality of the parents, Jam 103 and Jam 104, is remarkbly higher than that of the hybrid, Jam 103$\times$Jam 104, whereas there is no difference in the mortality between the parents. 3. In the mortality of the pathogen-concentration, it is increased in order of the following concentrations inoculated, 10$^{8}$ , 10$^{7}$ , 10$^{8}$ and 10$^{5}$ /ml. 3. In the mortality of each instar, it is high in order of 5th, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd instar. 4. In the interaction between the mortalities of the varieties and the concentrations, 1) The mortality shows no differences between the parents and the hybrid in the high concentration of 10$^{8}$ /ml. 2) The mortality of the hybrid is lower than that of the parents in the low concentration of 10$^{5}$ /ml, whereas no difference is found between the parents. 3) The interaction appears at the same level in the middle concentration of 10$^{6}$ /ml to the parents and of 10$^{7}$ /ml to the hybrid. 5. It was pointed out that active immunity depends upon the volume of antigen injection, immunizing period, and injection intervals. In this experiment, it is noticed that the optimum volume of injection is above 20ml and D is the best one of the four treatment (A.B.C.D.). 6. The immune sera indicate such a 12,800 high titer in the indirect method can be obtained from the D immunizing method. Silkworm tissues and N. bombycis spores show self-fluorescence, but it is able to distinguish it from the F.I.T.C. by using the U.V. filter. 7. The midgut epithelium is examined to be the first site of the tissues which are penetrated into and multiplied by the inoculation of the pathogen per os.

Determination of radius of edge round cut of loading head for deformation strength test (변형강도 시험용 하중봉의 원형절삭반경 선정연구)

  • This study evaluated influence of the loading head dimension on characteristics of deformation strength ($S_D$) of asphalt mixtures. Kim test and Wheel tracking (WT) test were conducted to evaluate $S_D$ characteristics with relation to WT results for various mixtures. The $S_D$ values and coefficient of variation of $S_D$ values of r=10mm were smaller than those of r=10.5mm. It was also found that $S_D$ values obtained using r=10mm loading head showed high correlations with rut parameters of WT test. It was indicated that the aggregate size and radius (r) of round cut were statistically significant variables on $S_D$ at = 0.05 level in the analysis of variance. However, in interaction of r and aggregate size showed no significance within $10{\sim}19mm$ aggregate size at the same level. Therefore, it was concluded that the diameter (D) of 40mm and the bottom edge radius (r) of 10mm was suitable dimension of loading head for deformation strength test.
