Understanding mutual impacts between the ocean and human beings is integral to sustainability of the Earth. Ocean literacy, therefore, is placed as a new paradigm of marine education in North America and Europe. Reflecting this movement, it is necessary for Korean marine educators to discuss conceptualization and future directions of Korean marine education. We reviewed marine education of North America as well as Korea in the domains of formal and informal marine education. We provide the definition, goal, and future recommendations for Korean marine education.

The goal of this study is to investigate reform directions of mathematics activity book which was introduced according to 2007 revised curriculum through literature analysis of introducing process. Futhermore, this study is to suggest the meaningful developing direction of new activity book according to the mathematics curriculum which is being developed now. To do this, first, the background of introducing activity book, developing direction, construction systems and the way to use it was analyzed. Second, teachers' response to the activity book on the basis of literature analysis was researched. Third, measures to improve activity book were investigated. In conclusion, reform direction of mathematics activity book was proposed in terms of developing research, goal, way to go, construction systems and questions arrangement.

This study observes innovation demand in design education according to IT environment in change, and explores reasonable directivity of design education according to fluctuations in media and technologies by presenting academic possibility of interactive design field and its education paradigms for universities. In order to achieve highly added values through interactive design complying with social demand, accompanying researches and academic frames are to be prepared, in particular with independent academic domain frame in universities, this study presents an educational directivity by recognizing important establishments of related curriculum that must be proceeded. This study has made a contribution in addressing the necessity of establishment of individual academic domain for interactive design and also setting up the domain of interactive design. It has been concluded that technological understanding beyond conventional design education, management of complex issues in consideration, and methodology of differentiated education in corresponding to the situation needed as well as typical educations of conventional technologies should be provided for satisfying innovation demand in the domain of interactive design.

21세기는 정보통신매체가 주도하는 정보화 사회, 멀티미디어 시대로 우리나라에서는 지식정보사회에 필요한 인력 양성을 위해서 교육 개혁을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다. 이의 일환으로 학교에 교육용 소프트웨어를 보급하여 실제 교수 학습에서 활용하고 있는데, 그 형태가 선진 주요국에서 나타나지 않고 국내에서만 나타나는 독특한 형태이다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 국내에서 활용되고 있는 교육용 소프트웨어의 유형을 분석하고, 국내외 교육용 소프트웨어의 활용 수준을 조사한 후 실제 교수 학습에 교육용 소프트웨어를 투입하여 튜토리얼형 교육용 소프트웨어의 효과에 대해서 알아보고, 국내의 교육용 소프트웨어의 활용 방향과 향후 교육용 소프트웨어의 개발 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

급변하는 디지털 문명사회에서 해양에 대한 능동적 수용과 활용을 위한 해양 리터러시의 필요성을 제시하고 해양 리터러시의 개념화를 시도하였다. 본 연구는 해양교육을 위한 이론적 토대로서의 해양리터러시를 통해 해양교육 콘텐츠를 능동적으로 수용하면서 해양교육 콘텐츠의 메시지를 해석하고 활용하는데 필요한 능력과 관점이라고 정의하고 해양리터러시에 포함된 다양한 기술과 능력을 크게 기초 리터러시, 고급 리터러시, 그리고 해양에 대한 처리소재 등으로 구분하여 제시하였다. 해양 리터러시 개념화는 해양교육의 새로운 방향에 대한 논의와 체계적이고 실증적인 후속연구를 위한 토대를 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

본 논문에서는 창의적인 S/W 인재 육성을 위한 교사교육 프로그램의 방향을 제시하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 현대 사회는 S/W가 기반이 되는 사회로, S/W는 실생활 뿐 아니라 다양한 학문 분야의 발전에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 이러한 사회 패러다임의 변화는 창의적인 S/W 인재 육성 교육이라는 교육 패러다임의 변화를 요구하고 있으며, 교육 패러다임의 변화는 학습자 교육을 담당하는 교사 교육 패러다임의 변화를 요구한다. 따라서 창의적 S/W 인재 육성을 담당하는 교사 교육 프로그램은 학습자의 특성, 학습 맥락, 현대 사회가 필요로 하는 지식을 고려한 교육을 할 수 있도록 개발되어야 하며, 교사의 역할이 과거의 지식 전달자의 역할에서 학습의 조력자, 촉진자, 안내가 역할을 할 수 있는 프로그램이 되도록 해야 한다.

The third national curriculum had the characteristics to establish guidelines in history textbooks with the basic direction to implement the charter of national Education. At that time, the object of the history education was 'the harmony with the development of the individuals and national development' which was the same that the authorized government aimed at. But the characters and the purpose were repeated without any criticism. Since the third national curriculum was presented in Korean education, the aims of education proposed the 'Korean style democracy'. Essential aims of education are more important than any political issues because academic research is not reflected on nationalism. This trend which is flowing in the education of Korea was strengthened through the education authorities in the statements of 'Deployment of the Governing' or 'guidelines': Especially, the idea and the history education. Despite the curriculum has been amended several times, these problems are not to be gotten rid of. The recently revised curriculum guidelines for history textbook description should improve and find the way to develope the history thinking of students.

The notion of computational thinking is currently gaining much attention from a variety of disciplines. Accordingly, computer education community needs to address this issue for formal education. In the paper, the translation issue on the terminology - 'computational thinking' - is discussed. As a brief introduction to computational thinking the characteristics and necessities as well as its importance are presented. The types of learning computational thinking are presented, which are learning with computing tools on one hand and without them on the other hand. Furthermore, learning objectives of computational thinking as well as the contents are also investigated for the application of computational thinking in elementary education. A survey was conducted for thirty three elementary school teachers on behalf of investigating directions of teaching computational thinking in elementary education. It shows that almost all respondents agree to teaching computational thinking in formal education and it also shows other interesting results as stated in the paper.

The problem of adolescents' Internet addiction is getting serious. So, preventive education of Internet addiction that cultivate right Internet use attitude is getting important. The purpose of this study is to offer a suggestion about preventive education of Internet addiction based on characteristics of adolescents' Internet addiction. We analyzed factors affecting Internet addiction by using multidimensional scale of Internet addiction for adolescent. This scale is composed of eleven factors that are mentioned by previous researches. As a result, the significant factors affecting Internet addiction are internet use time, escape from reality, anger-control, depression, family coherence, social competence, impulsivity, self-efficacy. Based on these analysis, we made a suggestion about preventive education of Internet addiction.

본 연구에서는 고등학교 확률통계교육의 바람직한 방향 제시를 위하여, 한국의 제7차 수학과 교육과정과 일본고등학교 학습지도요령의 수학과 구성과 성격을 비교, 연구하였다. 또한, 교육과정상의 확률통계교육의 구성과 성격 및 편제에 대하여 비교하였다. 양국의 고등학교 수학과 교육과정을 비교, 고찰한 결과, 한일 양국의 새 교육과정에 따른 교육위주의 교육과정의 구성과 내용 및 편제가 상당한 부분 비슷하거나 같았다 그러나, 지도목표 서술과 학제가 다르며, 실제 수학과 교과운영에는 차이가 많이 있다.
