Teacher Knowledge Necessary to Address Student Errors and Difficulties about Ratio and Rate (비와 비율에 관한 학생의 오류와 어려움 해결을 위해 필요한 교사지식)

  • In this study, we hope to reveal teacher knowledge necessary to address student errors and difficulties about ratio and rate. The instruments and interview were administered to 3 in-service primary teachers with various education background and teaching experiments. The results of this study are as follows. Specialized content knowledge(SCK) consists of profound knowledge about ratio and rate beyond multiplicative comparison of two quantities and professional knowledge about the definitions of textbook. Knowledge of content and students(KCS) is the ability to recognize students' understanding the concept and the representation about ratio and rate. Knowledge of content and teaching(KCT) is made up of knowledge about various context and visual models for understanding ratio and rate.

  • 학교수학을 가르치고 배우는 과정에서 교사의 역할은 기술 공학의 활용으로 변화하고 있다. 기술공학의 역할은 학생들로 하여금 수학에 대한 태도를 변하게 하여, 탐구적이며 창의적인 방법으로 수학을 공부하는데 열의를 갖도록 한다. 반면에 현재의 수학교수는 여전히 보수적이며 환경의 변화에 더디게 적응하고 있으나, 세상이 상당히 빨리 변하고 있으므로 기술공학을 활용하여 현재의 교수를 개선해 나가야 하겠다. 변화에 대한 인식과 갈망은 학습자료, 재정 상태, 그리고 기타 여러 가지 요인보다도 훨씬 중요하며 가장 중요한 것은 교수관점 및 교수견해의 변화에 대한 의지이다. 교사가 기호연산 실행 조작이 가능한 수학 학습용 컴퓨터 응용 소프트웨어와 이들을 탑재한 휴대용 수학학습 전용기를 중등학교수학에 적용할 경우, 수학교육에서 신중히 고려해야 할 것은, 첫째 모든 수준의 학생들을 격려하며, 둘째 대상 영역의 수학학습 내용을 이해하도록 기술공학을 활용한 새로운 교수 기법에 접근할 수 있어야 한다는 점이다.

  • 제7차 교육과정에서는 ICT의 활용을 적극 권장하고 있으며 교수학습에 정보통신기술을 활용하는 차원을 넘어 직접적인 교육의 장으로서 웹이 자리 매김하고 있다. 하지만 기존에 제작된 ICT 학습자료들은 표준화가 되어 있지 않고, 운영 플랫폼에 의존적인 형태로 제작되어 일선 교사들이 콘텐츠를 재활용하는데 어려움이 많다. 본 연구에서는 일선 교사들의 공유 및 표준화에 관한 요구를 조사하고, 이러한 요구를 만족하는 SCORM을 기반으로 한 교수학습지원센터에서 운영될 수 있는 표준화된 교수학습용 콘텐츠를 설계 및 제작을 통하여 ITS(Intelligent Tutoring System)의 대안으로서의 SCORM 도입의 가능성을 찾고, 일선 학교현장에서의 활용의 기초를 제공하고자 한다.

The Moderating Effect of Teacher-Child Relationship on the Relation between Child's Shyness and Peer Victimization (남녀 유아의 수줍음과 또래괴롭힘 피해 간 관계에 대한 교사-유아 관계의 중재효과)

  • This study examined the moderating role of teacher-child relationship on the relation between children's shyness and peer victimization. Participants were 200 children(97 boys, 103 girls; recruited from classes with 5-6 year olds) and their kindergarten teachers. The teachers completed rating scales to measure the children's peer victimization, shyness and teacher-child relationship. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, correlations, and hierarchical multiple regressions. Boys and girls were analyzed separately. Results showed that children's shyness had a positive relation to their peer victimization. Teacher-child relationship significantly related to children's peer victimization. Hierarchical regression analysis indicated that the interaction of boys' shyness and teacher-child closeness predicted boys' peer victimization. Boys' shyness, whose teachers demonstrated the lowest level of teacher-child closeness, was significantly associated with their peer victimization. Boys' shyness had a significant relation to their peer victimization, especially for the highest level of teacher-child conflictual relationship. Results are discussed in terms of the role of teachers to shy boys' peer victimization.

  • 유아교육 현장에서 교사들이 가정과 연계하여 유아와 효율적이고 실천적인 유아환경 보전 교육활동을 할 수 있도록 우리의 환경문화를 중심으로 한 구체적이며 적절한 환경보전 교육활동자료의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 유아의 환경교육을 보다 효과적으로 지도하고 유아의 발달단계 특성을 고려하여 환경교육과 내용을 정하고 그 발달단계에 맞는 교육내용을 3D 애니메이션으로 설계하였다.

Analysis Structure of Educational Software as Presentation Style (자료제시형 교육용 소프트웨어의 구조 분석)

  • Cyber learning goes up in the quantity of educational contents as informational technology develops in Korea. However some research for the structure of the contents has not been tried to examine its quality. Therefore this research analyzed the most popular cyber learning contents in Korea. They were characterized as "presentational contents". The main research methods are survey and execution of the presentational contents. For the survey, 100 trainee teachers were interviewed. The result of survey is that presentational contents are close to both the tutorial contents type and drill and practice type. On the other hand it is revealed that the response for simulation and game contents type is very rare. The result of the execution for presentation contents recorded high level for frequency of presentation and motivation. To solve these problems, the approach for developing presentational contents should select an appropriate curriculum for cyber learning system and incorporate effective teaching presentation with technology.

A Study on structures of Archival Contents for Teaching-Learning Materials-Focusing on the TNA of UK and the NARA of USA (교수·학습자료용 기록정보콘텐츠의 구조에 관한 연구 -영국 TNA와 미국 NARA를 중심으로)

  • Archival contents service for education is now a major service program in a foreign National Archives. Therefore We need to study their archival contents services in more depth-analysis methods for the development of our contents. My study is based on the summary of the Homepage Sites for Education of the TNA of UK and the NARA of USA. And also a depth-case study on structures of the samples, 'Coldwar' contents of the TNA and the 'McCarthy' contents of the NARA. As a results, first, the formats of archival contents for teaching-learning materials should be in consistent contents structures like a standard textbooks. Second, archival contents service for teaching-learning materials certainly have to support original images of primary resources and educational kits in order to read easily primary sources. Third, given the costs of development, it's desirable for archive to develop archival contents for teaching-learning materials in the way of cross-use by age and curriculum. Forth, when selecting primary sources for teaching-learning materials, priorities have to be given to the text-sources in the light of learning purposes for history education. Fifth, National archives must develop archival contents for teaching-learning materials in connection with standard curriculums in order to promote a nation-wide use.

Exploring the possibility of using ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion as a tool to recommend picture materials for teaching and learning

  • In this paper, artificial intelligence agents ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion were used to explore the possibility of educational use by implementing a program to recommend picture materials for teaching and learning according to the class topic entered by teachers. The average time spent recommending all picture materials is about 6 minutes. In general, pictures related to keywords were recommended, and the letters in the recommended pictures could only know the intention to represent the letters, and the letters could not be recognized and the meaning could not be known. However, further research seems to be needed on the fact that the type or content of the recommended picture depends entirely on the response of ChatGPT and that it is not possible to accurately recommend the picture for all keywords. In addition, it was concluded that it is true that the recommended picture is related to the keyword, but the evaluation of whether it has educational value is the subject of discussion that should be left to the judgment of human teachers.

The Effects of Pre-service Early Childhood Teacher's Adult-Attachment, Mental-Health and Resilience on Smartphone Addiction Tendency (예비유아교사의 성인애착, 정신건강, 회복탄력성이 스마트폰 중독경향성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of pre-service early childhood teacher's adult-attachment, mental-health and resilience on smartphone addiction tendency. The participants were 283 pre-service early childhood teachers in Seoul and Kyungkido. Collected self-report data were analyzed by correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, there were 228 people (81 percent) in the regular user group and 55 people(19 percent) in the risk user group. Second, there were significant differences in adult-attachment, mental-health and resilience according to smartphone addiction tendency. Third, anxiety(adult-attachment) and mental-health had a positive correlation, and control and affirmation(resilience) had a negative correlation with pre-service early childhood teachers' smartphone addiction tendency. Fourth, all variables influenced pre-service early childhood teachers' smartphone addiction tendency. This study provides practical suggestions for smartphone usage and preventive measures for pre-service early childhood teachers' smartphone addiction.

Middle School Science Teacher's Perceptions of Science-Related Careers and Career Education (과학 관련 직업과 진로 교육에 대한 중학교 과학 교사의 인식)

  • In this study, we investigated the perceptions of science-related careers and career education among middle school science teachers. Sixty-four science teachers experienced in teaching unit 7 in the first year of middle school participated. The results of the study revealed that not only careers in science but also careers with science were found to be quite high when teachers were asked to provide examples of science-related careers. Jobs related to research/engineering, which are careers in science, comprised the highest proportion of teachers' answers, followed by jobs related to education/law/social welfare/police/firefighting/military, and health/medical, which are careers with science. However, the proportion of jobs mentioned related to installation/maintenance/production was extremely low. The skills required for science-related careers were mainly perceived to consist of tools for working and ways of working. The number of skills classified under living in the world was perceived to be extremely low across most careers, irrespective of career type. Most teachers only taught unit 7 for two to four sessions and devoted little time to science-related career education, even in general science classes. In the free semester system, a significant number of teachers responded that they provide science-related career education for more than 8 hours. Teachers mainly utilize lecture, discussion/debate, and self-study activities. Meanwhile, in the free semester system, the resource-based learning method was utilized at a high proportion compared to other class situations. Teachers generally made much use of media materials, with the use of textbooks and teacher guides found to be lower than expected. There were also cases of using materials supported by science museums or the Ministry of Education. Teachers preferred to implementing student-centered classes and utilizing various teaching and learning methods. Based on the above research results, discussions were proposed to improve teachers' perceptions of science-related careers and career education.
