암모니아 매질에서 일어나는 TEA $CO_2$ 레이저 광속의 SELF-FOCUSING/ DEFOCUSING 특성

  • 아홉 개의 TEA Co 레이저선에 대한 암모니아 매질의 비선형 굴절계수 (n%)를, 매질을 통과한 광속이 self-focusing 또는 self-defocusing 에의해 겪게되는 공간적 광속 변화를 측정함으로써 결정하였다. 암모니아 매질을 통과하여 변형된 광속의 전장은 가우스 함수의 금수로 주어지는 스미스의 표현(5)으로 근사할수 있었으며, 실험치와 비교하여 보았다. 아홉 개의 레이저선중 여덟 개의 레이저선은 self-focusing 현상을 나타애렀으며9R(16) line은 self-defocusing 현상을 나타내었다.

  • 1946년 S M MacNeille에 의해 연구된 유전체 다층 박막을 이용한 편광광속분리기는 브르스터 각 편광광속분리기(Brewster angle polarizing beam splitter) 혹은 맥닐 프리즘(MacNeille prism)으로 알려져 있으며 지금도 많은 광학계에서 사용되고 있다. 맥닐 프리즘은 두 개의 프리즘 사이의 빗면에 높은 굴절률( $n_{H}$ )을 갖는 물질과 낮은 굴절률( $n_{L}$ )을 갖는 물질을 λ/4 광학두께로 교번으로 한 고반사 다층박막 구조를 갖는다. 각 층의 경계면에서 브르스터 각으로 입사할 경우 p-편광파는 투과하고 s-편광파는 부분적으로 반사한다. 편광광속분리 정도는 p-편광파와 s-편광파의 투과율( $T_{p}$, $T_{s}$ ) 혹은 반사율( $R_{p}$, $R_{s}$ )의 비로 나타내며 이를 소광비(extinction ratio)라 한다. A Method for Measurement of Roughness of Ground Surfaces by Using Fluxes of Scattered Lights (산란광속측정에 의한 연삭가공 표면 거칠기 측정방법)

  • This paper presents a simple method for measurenemt of roughness of ground surfaces. The present method utilizes fluxes of scattered lights condensed through lenses aligned along the specular direction. A theoretical analysis is preformed for the purpose of investigating the possibility of the method as well as determining the experimental condition. Experiments are also performed to show the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method. The theoretical and experimental results show that the proposed method is simple enouth to implement and has a potential to identify a wide range of roughness of ground surfaces.

The Deformation Surveying of a Slope Using Still-Video Imagery and Free-Net Bundle Adjustment (스틸비디오 영상과 자유망 광속조정을 이용한 사면의 변형측량)

  • This study attempts to measure effectively three dimensional deformation in road slopes using digital close-range photographs. After the still video images were acquired respectively on the same multi-station geometric configuration in two epoches, photo-triangulation was rallied out respectively by conventional standard bundle adjustment and free-net bundle adjustment and the computed results were compared with those of geodetic method by total station. Three dimensional coordinates and deformation amounts were able to be derived with the RMSE of sub-millimeter and the relative accuracy of $1/30,000{\sim}1/35,000$. It was shown that free-net bundle adjustment is about 13% higher than standard bundle adjustment in the accuracy of photo-triangulation. It was ascertained that the free-net technique is able to promote fast and accurate deformation surveying without the necessity of geodetic control survey in complicated industrial sites.

  • One of the IIDSt difficult problems in a tri-band fluorescent lamp manufacture is to search a desired color by an adequate mixing of tri-color phosphors. When a light spectrum of a phosphor is slightly changw or distorted due to process variable or when another spectrum such as from Ar, Kr or a iDosphor of calcium halo-phosphate as a first layer exist, it is even rrnre difficult to search a desired color. In this work, a rapid awuaching rrethod to a desired light color was studied. 1bree single-color fluorescent lamps and three-color-mixed fluorescent lamps with different mixing ratios were prepared and the spectra of these lamps were measured, from which the rrercury and the argon spectra were eliminatffl to obtain the rrndifiw color coordinates. From this rrndifiw color coordinate, h.lIlHl ratios of green and blue to red were correlatffl with their weight ratios. This correlation was awliw to the industrial line for single and double layer coating and proven to be valuable as a desired color matching procWure in tri-color fluorescent lamp manufacture.acture.

  • 점접촉 MIM (Metal-Insulator-Metal) 다이오드는 레이저 광속의 검출기, 고조파 발생기 및 믹서로 사용되며, 그 검출범위가 수십 THz의 주파수 영역까지 가능하다. 이러한 MIM 다이오드의 여러사기 변수들에 대한 감응도를 측정하였으며, 이들의 특성을 조사하기 위한 관원으로는 10P(36) line의 CO2 레이저 광속을 이용했다. 또한 제작된 점접촉 MIM 다이오드를 이용하여 두 CO2레이저 사이의 주파수 차이에 의한 맥놀이 주파수를 측정하였다. 그리고 MIM 다이오드에서 발견된 초퍼의 초핑 주파수에 의한 비선형 현상을 논하였다.

  • 본고에서는 고정도 제품을 생산하는 연삭기에 대해 가공물 및 연삭 공구인 연삭 숫돌을 기상에서 측정하기 위한 여러 가지 방법들을 소개하였고 일부는 적응 예를 기술하였다. 소개된 기상 측정장치들은 특히 반복 공정이 필요한 연삭 현장에서 생산성 향상을 위해 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 그러나 관련 연구가 지속된다면 연삭기의 작업조건 자동 설정, 연삭 상태 진단 등, 연삭기의 지능화에도 적극적으로 응용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • This paper presents results of monitoring grinding processes with on-the-machine measurement of surface roughness by using nux ratios of scattered lights. A compact, on-the-machine surface roughness sensor. which consists of a diodelaser and several optic units. is developed. The control unit is also developed. The developed sensor together with the controller is applied for monitoring grinding processes of two different grinding machines. Experimental results show that the nux ratios and their standard deviations measured by the developed sensor over the entire ground surface are useful for monitoring grinding conditions. In particular, the sensor and the control unit are proved to be useful for monitoring grinding processes in order to detect abnormal grinding conditions and dressing time.

  • This paper presents an optical surface roughness sensor developed for intermediate- process measurement on the machine. The light scattering method is adopted for the sensor, which is designed conpact and flexible enough to apply to 'on the machine' measurement of surface roughness. The developed sensor has special features such that it makes use, as the measurement parameter, of the ratio between fluxes of the incident light, and the specularly and partly diffusely reflected light, and that it can adjust the incident light angle. The experimental investigation reveals not only the sensor has good performance as a surface roughness sensor but the sensor is very robust so as to be useful in in-process measurement.
