This paper explores the key facts of residents' participation in local development projects and activities. Analysing in what ways indifferent residents pay attention to local issues and participate in local activities, this paper aims to suggest the effective ways of residents' participation for local capacity building. By in-depth interviews with active participants in local projects, this paper elucidates three key facts for boosting residents' participation: first, the approval of community about what they have done in community: second, social networking which contains full of trust and solidarity: third, the effort to coincide their personal interest with their local issues.

본 논문은 지역에 관심이 많은 사용자들이 실시간으로 모바일 웹페이지 형태의 뉴스를 제공 받을 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 이를 제작하였다. 사용자는 실시간으로 본인이 위치한 지역을 대상으로 종합되어지는 뉴스를 모바일 웹페이지 형태의 오브젝트로 제공받는다. 본 연구를 통해 지역 관심도 향상 및 지역 개발 촉진 및 관광시설 피드백 활성화 효과의 기대가 가능하다.

This paper proposes a detection system that, by determining whether a dangerous act is being carried out among other pedestrians in the images captured using CCTV, provides pre-warnings and establishes emergency measures. To determine the presence of a dangerous act, after setting zones of interest and danger zones within those zones of interest, the danger level is determined in accordance with the range of encroachment upon detecting an object. Especially, this research aims at detecting a suicide jump from the bridge and extends to detecting a dangerous act among pedestrians from detecting a dangerous act of only one person with no one in the previous research. This system classifies the status into 3 levels as safe, alert, and danger according to the amount of part being over the bridge railing. If a situation is deemed as warning-worthy and emergency, the integrated control center is immediately alerted to facilitate prevention in advance.

Lately, much researches for information management of web GIS base are gone. Specially, disaster Information Management System development of Web-Based for management and offer of disaster information such as flood or earthquake is necessarily necessary for prevention and countermeasure about disaster, disaster information acquisition of interest area. Spatial DB access for plan/analysis/management business of this system should be possible and must become display of disaster information and disaster mapmaking through internet for disaster prevention but research of web GIS base about this field is childhood yet. This research executed research for disaster information offer using HTML and Javascript and ESRI's ArcIMS that is development tools or web GIS. And this research could search disaster information of interest area through various kinds function and offer in display through user selection. Also, topography of interest area could confirm through third dimension topography model who use VRML. And this research could supply disaster information of Chunchon city using various function thorough system of Web-Based.

This study used a contents analysis method of newspapers to related to urban regeneration and tourism. The role of tourism in urban regeneration has become very important recently as social and cultural regeneration has become more important than physical regeneration. Despite this importance, relevant policies or regulations are very insufficient in our country. Therefore, this study was to examine the interest in urban regeneration and tourism in our society through the contents analysis of the number and content of newspaper articles and analyze the trend empirically. As a result, the degree of interest in urban regeneration and tourism was able to confirm that the level of interest in tourism was increasing year by year. It suggested that the government needs to enhance the quality of tourism contents and actively implement the system in order to promote urban regeneration projects in the future.

The 21st century is often dubbed as a century of culture. Many eyes are on various cultures including global and national ones. In particular regional cultures have emerged as a major interest. Korea's Jeonnam province which has been regarded as a backward region is not an exception in this regard. Its cultural contents which are still intact due to lagging development are drawing much attention. Growing interests and efforts to develop traditional cultural items like Jeonju's traditional paper, Naju's natural dyeing or Damyang's bamboo are good examples. This study is to focus on Damyang's bamboo relying on scientific approach and develop educational contents which demonstrate connections between science and culture. Thus, the study presents region-oriented educational contents based on regional cultures, which will bring about pride and affection toward regions and cultures.

1821년 국내 최초로 태화기도교사회복지관이 우리나라에 설립된지 벌써 85년이 흘렀다 그간 사회복지관들은 지역 주민들의 복지증진을 위한 여러 가지 사업개발과 저소득 계층을 위해 지원해 왔으며 후원 및 자원봉사자들을 개발 발굴하여, 지역사회 운동 등의 다양한 활동을 전개해 오고 있다. 2007년 현재 전국에 395개의 지역사회복지관이 다양한 전문 복지프로그램을 개발운영하고 있으며, 이러한 지역사회복지관에 대한 지역 주민들의 관심은 나날이 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 과거 지역사회복지관이라는 단어는 경제적으로 어려운 저소득 소외계층을 위한 기관으로 빈민 구제등의 사업을 실시해왔으나 현재는 지역주민들의 욕구가 다양화 되면서 지역주민들을 위한 다양한 사업들을 전개해오고 있다.
