Recently, mass concrete with high flowability are widely used to improve the quality and constructability in the longer span construction of prestressed concrete bridges, but it may induce nonstructural cracks due to the hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage etc. The stresses in concrete were evaluated by various experiments and numerical analysis. The tensile stress in mass concrete was increased in connection with the accumulation of hydration heat. Moreover, large amount of autogenous shrinkage from powder type admixture could add the tensile stress to mass concrete near anchorage zone. The tensile stresses in anchorage zone by heat and autogenous shrinkage exceeded the tensile strength of early stage of concrete, and small amounts of stress increasement were shown in other parts of PSC girder.

Recently, researches on High-Volume Fly ash Cement(HVFC), which is replacing high portion of cement to fly ash, have been actively conducted to reduce $CO_2$ formation. Though HVFC has various advantages, low strength development in early ages is pointed out as the biggest problem in the application of fly ash. In order to overcome such limitations, this study investigated the hydration and compressive strength characteristics of HVFC paste depending on the fly ash content with the mixing ratio varying from 0 to 80 %. Experimental results show that the HVFC paste with low water-binder ratio can overcome the limitation of low compressive strength at early ages. Also, from the result of heat flow delay, 50 % of fly ash weight ratio was the critical point of the filler effect.

In this study, for the establishment of the performance evaluation methods and the quality control standard of durability recovery method, the quantitative exposure data by long term exposure test under the coast and air environment is accumulated and analyzed. Investigating and evaluating the result of exposure test during 18 months of exposure age under the coastal and normal atmosphere environment, micro crack, swelling and spatting of surface coating material crack of repair standards of repair material and method through continuous exposure test in the future.
The bored pile is widely used as a low noise and vibration piling method in Korea. However, there is design tendency to minimize the friction capacity of the bored pile because of uncertainty and the quality control specification is not set up. This research analysed the strength characteristics of cement paste after the uniaxial compression test with various condition. Test results show that the compressive strength of cement paste with w/c=0.83 was up to $156.0kgf/cm^2$, and the lower w/c ratio and the longer age, the strength of cement paste increased. Also the higher soil mixing ratio, the strength of soil cement decreased, and too high soil mixing ratio caused the malfuction of soil cement. Also this research analysed the 188 dynamic pile test results which were performed before and after hardening of cement paste. Analysis result showed that the average ultimate unit friction capacity was $9.1tf/m^2$ and this result surpassed the common design criteria of the bored pile.
In order to recycle the waste concrete from which the reproductive aggregate should be produced in-situ, the applicability of crushers and recycled aggregates, and the compliance with the specification have been evaluated comprehensively. As a result of them, the properties of recycled aggregate particles were inferior to the natural one because of the adherent mortars on the recycled one, and the mobile impact crusher and the eccentric-mounted cone and jaw were superior to the others for the graded aggregates. In the case of anti-frost layer, the recycled one was easily controlled since the dry densities, contrary to natural one, were not largely changed with the moisture contents. It was found that the lean concrete base course is not influenced by absorption as cement dust grows larger, and the 7-day compressive strengths of lean concrete were higher than 10 MPa regardless of the crushing type.

The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the pore structure and mechanical properties of early frost damaged concrete using electric arc furnace slag as aggregate. From the results, when the concrete is exposed to frost damage at an early age, the peak point of pores 100 to 150 ㎛ in diameter were transferred into larger one. When the freezing duration is not exceeded 24 hours, it is possible that the pore distribution of under the 200 ㎛ is maintained and pore size of over 500 ㎛ is not formed, and, the freezing resistance of concrete using EFG could be improved. When BFS was mixed in concrete using EFG as coarse aggregate, the relative strength is higher than that of natural coarse aggregate. Meanwhile, the elastic modulus and resonance frequency did not change significantly due to the early frost damage as compared with the compressive strength. So, it is necessary to analyze the correlation between the experimental results in order to evaluate the performance degradation due to early frost damage.

Shotcrete concrete is generally used in the form of ready-mixed concrete products using type I ordinary portland cement(hereinafter referred to as OPC) and about 5% of accelerator mixed separately in the field. In this study, we tested the effect of OPC fineness and SO3 content on a penetration resistance, compressive strength of binder for shotcrete using calcium aluminate type accerlerator. And we analysed hydrates and pore structure effects on mortar performance. In the future, it is expected to be useful for manufacturing optimized OPC as a binder for shotcrete.

In this study, the properties of strength and drying shrinkage of alkali-activated slag cement (AASC) with magnesium oxide (MgO) contents between 0 and 16 wt% were investigated. The ground granulated furnace blast slag (GGBFS) was activated by potassium hydroxide (KOH) and dosage of activator was 2M and 4M. The MgO was replaced with 2% to 16% of GGBFS by weight. The water-binder ratio (w/b) was 0.5. In the result, the higher MgO content leads to a slightly higher degree of reaction and thus to a higher compressive strength at all ages. The compressive strength and ultra sonic velocity (UPV) increased with increases MgO contents. The drying shrinkage of AASC was decreased as the contents of MgO increases. The results from SEM confirmed that there were densified reaction product of higher MgO content specimens.

In this study, we tested to develop and apply structural insulation performance improvement concrete to field, which had compressive strength in 24 MPa and thermal conductivity twice as much as normal concrete. After experiment about slump and air contents, combination product of Plain and calcined diatomite powder showed reduction of slump and air contents and combination product with micro foam cell admixture, we cannot find result of slump and air contents reduction. Unit weight of combination product with insulation performance improvement materials decreased more than that of Plain. In the test of compressive strength, compressive strength of insulation performance improvement concrete decreased more than that of Plain but was content with 24 MPa. thermal conductivity of insulation performance improvement concrete tended to decrease. Freezing and thawing resistance of insulation performance improvement concrete was similar to that of Plain. In carbonation resistance test, combination product with calcined diatomite powder showed the result which was similar to that of Plain. In carbonation resistance test, combination product with micro foam cell admixture showed a increase compared to that of Plain and length variation of combination product generally increased.
