Purpose: The aim of this study was to review systemically clinical trials on the trends of studies for Complementary Alternative Medicine in the treatment of dysmenorrhea. Methods: Through medical websites, foreign clinical literatures about complementary and alternative medicines of dysmenorrhea were searched. And domestic clinical literatures about dysmenorrhea, complementary and alternative treatment and oriental medicine treatment were searched using internet websites or hand-searching in National digital library, National assembly library, KISS, RISS. And then they were assessed by the assessment standard of Jadad scale and Classifying Recommendations. Results: 1. 15 foreign literatures and 36 domestic literatures were selected. 2. 4 foreign and 4 domestic clinical literatures were enough to satisfy over 2 points in Jadad score and recommendation level in Classifying Recommendations. 3. Some clinical trials were rated low in Jadad score since it was not easy to set control groups and keep blinding in clinical trials. 4. Some clinical trials were rated low in Classifying Recommendations since they did not carry out enough study about stability, side effect and follow-ups. Conclusion: To put clinical trials to practical use of Complementary Alternative Medicine in the treatment of dysmenorrhea, scientific and objective-based studies should be needed.

The Stone Lamp from Hyeon Hwa Temple is an important piece of buddhist art from the Koryo Dynasty (initiated by King Hyun-Joung). It provides an insight into stone-art techniques employed during the Koryo Dynasty, and serves as an authentic example of work from that period, which had both a refined style and artistic integrity. However, the stone lamp was dismantled and has been stored at the National Museum of Korea since 1986. This was because it was severely damaged, as a result of exposure to an outdoors environment. This article discusses the conservation of the stone lamp, which was carried out by conservators at the National Museum of Korea. It was prepared for a new display of the lamp to the public. The conservation process can be briefly described as follows: Cleaning (this includes the removal of previous repairs that were made), the re-attachment of the object's original fragments, and the gap-filling of missing parts. After its conservation, the object is in a much better condition and ready to be displayed once more. What is more important, in terms of the long term preservation of the stone lamp, is that the condition of the stone lamp needs to be continuously monitored, and appropriate conservation actions should be taken as necessary.

Nuclear materials such as uranium are used as fuel for nuclear power generation, but there is a high possibility that they will be used for non-peaceful purposes, so international inspections and regulations are being conducted. Isotope analysis data of fine particulate obtained from nuclear facilities can provide important information on the origin and concentration method of nuclear material, so it is widely used in the field of nuclear safety and nuclear forensics. In this study we describe the analytical method that can directly identify nuclear particles and measure their isotopic ratios for fine samples using a large-geometry secondary ion mass spectrometer and introduce its preliminary results. Using the U-200 standard material, the location of fine particles was identified and the results consistent with the standard value were obtained through microbeam analysis.

위성체에 대한 오염의 측정과 관리는 매우 정밀한 광학계나 기타 오염 민감 표면에 큰 영향을 미치기 때문에 위성이 발사되기 전까지 주의 깊게 수행되어야 한다. 대부분의 기간동안 위성은 청정실(clean class 10,000)에서 보관 및 운용되기 때문에 측정 및 분석이 쉽게 이루어질 수 있으나 위성의 궤도환경모사를 위한 열진공시험시의 오염 측정 및 분석은 상압, 상온의 청정실 내부에서의 그것과는 차이가 있다. (중략)

"정부의 규제 개혁과 원자력 안전 규제의 효과성"을 주제로 한 2008년 제1회 원자력안전포럼이 6월 5일(목) 한국원자력안전기술원 본관 세미나실에서 개최되었다. 발표자들을 포함하여 과학기술부, 녹색연합, 월성원전 환경감시센터, 한수원(주), 원자력발전기술원, 한수원 원자력교육원, 한전KPS, 한전기술(주), 원자력안전기술원 등의 관계자 총 60여명이 참석한 본 포럼은 원자력안전기술원 안전정책실에서 기획 주관하였으며, 원자력안전기술원 장현섭 박사와 박윤원 박사가 진행을 담당하였고, 최광식 박사가 전체 발표 내용과 종합 토의 내용을 요약 정리하였다. 본 특집은 포럼 발표 내용을 발표자의 집필로 구성한 것이다.(편집자)

바다는 무한한 자원의 보고이다. 미국ㆍ일본ㆍ중국 등 선진국에선 이미 바다의 개발과 보호를 위한 장기 전략을 세우고 이미 실처네 옮기고 있다. 바다를 경사하던 우리나라에서도 60년대부터 선원, 조선 수출 등 바다관련산업이 등장하여 우리나라 경제발전의 견인차 역할을 해왔다. 당장 투자효과가 나지 않더라도 해양기술 개발과 축적을 위해 과감한 투자가 앞서야 하겠다.

정보화의 선진국이 되고자 지구촌에서는 지금 뜨거운 경쟁이 벌어지고 있다. 우리나라도 초등학교에서 대학에 이르기까지 온통 정보화 물결 속에 인터넷 붐이 일고 있지만 인터넷 사용이 곧 정보화의 기수가 되는 것으로 착각해서는 안된다. 보다 중요한 것은 정보를 유용하게 활용할 수 있는 아이디어인 것이다.

Objectives : The study was aimed to survey participant's characters in stroke prevention & Gigong program Methods : The data were collected 34 participants in stroke prevention & Gigong program. The questionnaires to survey characters in stroke prevention & Gigong program composed demographic item, past history, family history, stroke presymptoms, etiology, prevention, why join of Gigong program, etc. Results : Half of participants didn't know anything presymptoms, prevention for stroke. Conclusion : From these results, stroke education program have been improvement and it is needed further study to survey efficacy to stroke education program.
