  • 과학기술 개발에 참여하는 사람은 자신이 하는 활동의 결과가 초래할 수 있는 윤리적 함의를 생각하지 않으면 안된다. 어떤 기술이 인류에게 큰 해악을 끼치는데 사용되었다면 그 기술이 개발한 사람이 그럴 가능성을 전혀 몰랐다고 변명하는 것은 무책임하고 비도덕적인 처사이다.

Science on the Stage: Ethical Communication in the 2004 'Hwang woo-suk' Case (무대 위의 과학: 2004 배아줄기세포 논란을 중심으로 본 윤리 커뮤니케이션)

  • This study explores the way of prescribing the ethic of science in korean society in the 2004 ethical debates about 'Hwang woo-suk' embryo stem-cell study. It is the process of ethical communication. The debate includes very sensitive problem such as ovum and embryo, which is related directly with life. Particularly, this issue has many implications as there was a wild enthusiasm of patriotism in Korean society after had published Prof. Hwang's paper. This case shows dramatically the formation of ethical attitude in our society. There were included many actor's desire, interest, and conflicts. This study analyzes the process of competition to seize the initiative of the definition of ethics. It includes patriotic discourse, competition of rhetorics. This ethical communication involves the making of 'star scientist', Hwang woo-suk. In consequence, the ethics has been marginalized and stigmatized as anti-science on the stage of star scientist. This study argues ethics is not a fixed thing, it is construction of competition.

  • 과학과 신앙은 어떤 상관관계가 있는가. 신앙과 과학은 서로 반목관계에도 불구하고 양자는 모두 윤리라고 하는 부문에 이르러서는 휴전상태를 이루어왔다. 실제로 우리의 과학함은 나름대로의 패러다임, 즉 신앙에서 비롯되는 것이며 그것은 곧 과학자의 윤리성과 직결되는 것이다.

  • This thesis attempts to describe the basis and value system respectively selected by opinions pro and against bio engineering technology and to induce discussions on the basis of the concept called 'two culture' issue by C. P. Snow - science culture, human culture, a teleological ethical theory and a deontological ethical theory, traditional eugenics, and liberalism eugenics. In addition, it will discuss about inconvenient truth about science and bio engineering which we have wrongly understood up to now - a myth on objectivity of science, autonomy of science and a scientist, a hunger of world, science expected to be responsible for all men. Lastly, it will describe study ethics and social responsibility, openness, moral imagination, self-examination, character of a bio engineer as professionalism.

  • The ethical problems related to climate changes have basically different character from the ethical problems which we have experienced until now. In order to approach ethical problems of climate changes for forseeing, mitigating and adapting many complicated situations which result from climate changes we should breake away from the point of anthropocentrism at first. Secondly, the education of the ethics of climate changes is very important in all levels of schools. It is very important and urgent to decide what and how we should teach. Finally, the sustainability has important role in the justification of why and what we should take actions against climate changes.

초등 정보과학영재들의 인터넷 이용실태를 바탕으로 한 정보통신윤리교육 방안

  • 컴퓨터와 정보통신 기술은 하루가 다르게 발달하고 있지만, 정보사회를 살아가는 데 필요한 시대정신은 갖추지 못하여 이로 인한 부정적인 현상은 점점 그 심각성을 더해가고 있다. 최근 교육기관과 사회 공공 기관에서 역기능의 심각성을 인식하고 정보통신윤리교육을 실시하기는 하지만, 정보과학영재를 위한 정보 통신윤리교육은 거의 연구가 진행되고 있지 않다. 정보사회에서 국가적으로 매우 중요한 인재인 정보과학영재들에 대한 체계적인 정보통신윤리교육이 없다는 것은 매우 위험한 일이다. 교육은 대상자의 수준에 맞게 이루어져야 할 것이다. 따라서 정보과학영재들에게는 그들에게 맞는 정보통신윤리교육이 필요할 것이다. 이와 같은 문제점을 인식하여 본 논문에서는 정보과학영재의 개념을 살펴보고, 정보통신 윤리의 개념과 성격, 정보통신 교육의 기본원칙을 이론적 배경으로 하고 초등 정보과학영재들의 인터넷 이용실태를 분석해본 후 초등 정보과학 영재들을 위한 정보통신윤리교육방안을 제시하고자 한다.

A study of the effect analysis and development of informatics ethics education program based on subject integrations (교과융합 정보윤리교육 프로그램의 개발과 효과 분석)

  • As the science and technology advances, the side effects of information and communications technology use become a social issue and the social demands to strengthen the informatics ethics in the curriculum of elementary and secondary schools becomes great. The contents of informatics ethics education is included in the current curriculum for elementary and secondary school, but they are embedded in multiple subjects without the holistic guidelines for the informatics ethics curriculum. Therefore it can have duplications of the contents or missing among subjects as those subjects are elective in the secondary school. In this study, we proposed a holistic curriculum for informatics ethics education and developed the education program based on subject integrated curriculum model and the cyber internet ethics education model to solve problems of informatics ethics education. The program was practised for 291 students of $10^{th}$ graders for 5 months and effectiveness was proven by the high attainment of ethics understanding. This subject integrated education program is proposed to solve the structural problems of informatics ethics education in 2015 curriculum.
