Influence of overload on the fatigue crack growth retardation and the statistical variation (강의 피로균열지연거동에 미치는 과대하중의 영향과 통계적 변동에 관한 연구)

  • Constant .DELTA.K fatigue crack growth rate experiments were performed by applying an intermediate single and multiple overload for structural steel, SM45C. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the influence of multiple overloads at various stress intensity factor ranges and the effect of statistical variability of crack retardation behavior. The normalized delayed load cycle, delayed crack length and the minimum crack growth rate are increased with increasing baseline stress intensity factor range when the overload ratio and the number of overload application were constant. The crack retardation under low baseline stress intensity factor range increases by increasing the number of overload application, but the minimum crack growth rate decreases by increasing the number of overload application. A strong linear correlation exists between the minimum crack growth rate and the number of overload applications. And, it was observed that the variability in the crack growth retardation behavior are presented, the probability distribution functions of delayed load cycle, delayed crack length and crack growth life are 2-parameter Weibull. The coefficient of variation of delayed load cycle and delayed crack length for the number of 10 overload applications data are 14.8 and 9.2%, respectively.

  • 차량 충돌시 자동차의 시트는 승객 및 운전자를 보호해야 한다. 따라서 자동차시트는 충분한 강도를 가져야 하며 이것은 여러 가지 법규에 의해서 제재되고 있다. 물리적 실험 결과가 법규에 정한 규정치를 만족시키기 위해 과대설계 될 수 있다. 그러나 이것은 연비를 줄이기 위한 경량화의 만족이라는 설계요구에 상충한다. 본 논문에서는 헤드레스트 강도시험을 시뮬레이션하고 과대 설계되어 있다고 판단되는 어퍼암을 최적화 모델로 최적설계를 수행하였다. 순차 이차 계획법인 PLBA 알고리즘과 민감도 해석을 위하여 직접근사해석법을 사용하였다.

  • 채석, 광물채광 등의 발파에서 생성된 파쇄 암석편들에 대한 정확한 파쇄도의 측정은 발파효율성 및 경제성을 평가하기 위한 수단으로 사용될 수 있다. 발파현장에서 파쇄도의 측정은 파쇄암석의 크기를 대상으로 이루어지며, 이러한 측정의 궁극적인 목표는 파쇄도에 대한 정확한 측정과 분석을 통하여 발파를 최적화시킴으로써 과파쇄에 의한 화약의 낭비, 과대한 암괴로 인한 운반경비의 증가, 분할을 위한 2차 발파나 추가파쇄를 위한 경비증가 등을 줄일 수 있다. 또한 선광 및 파쇄장비들의 과대한 마모방지와 품질의 균질성 확보를 위한 모니터링의 수단으로 사용될 수도 있다. 최근 파쇄도측정에 많이 사용되고 있는 기술중의 하나가 영상처리 시스템으로, 본 논문에서는 촬영조건 및 분석대상물 등의 변화에 따른 이 영상처리기법의 문제에 대한 언급보다는 영상처리기법에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해 이 기법에 대한 설명과 상용 소프트웨어를 이용한 모델시험 및 채석현장에서 실시된 발파후의 파쇄암석들에 대한 파쇄도 분석에서의 문제점들에 대하여 언급하고자 한다.

Effects by Applying Mode of Single Overload on Propagation Behavior of Fatigue Crack (단일과대하중의 작용모드가 피로균열의 전파거동에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, when variable-amplitude load with various applying mode acts on the pre-crack tip, we examined how fatigue cracks behave. Hence aspects of the deformation caused by changing the applying mode of single overload and propagation behavior of fatigue crack were experimentally examined: What kinds of the deformation would be formed at pre-crack and its tip\ulcorner What aspects of the residual plastic deformation field would be formed in front of a crack\ulcorner How aspects of the plastic zone could be evaluated\ulcorner As applying mode of single overloading changes, the deformation caused by tensile and shear loading variously showed in each applying mode. The different aspects of deformation make influence on propagation behavior of cracks under constant-amplitude fatigue loading after overloading with various modes. We tried to examine the relationship between aspects of deformation and fatigue behavior by comparing the observed deformation at crack and crack propagation behavior obtained from fatigue tests.

A Study on Corrosion Fatigye Crack Propagation Behaviors due to a Single Overload (단일과대하중하의 부식피로균열진전거동에 관한 연구)

  • 6063-T5 alloys are tested in laboratory air, water and 3% NaCl solution to investigate the effects of corrosive environment on the retardation behavior through single overload fatigue test. Also, the fatigue crack propagation and the crack closure behavior are studied. The results obtained in this experimental study are summarized as follows: 1) Behaviors of fatigue crack growth retardation are observed in water and 3% NaCl solution as they do in air. The number of delay cycles and the size of affected region by single overload decrease greatly in water and 3% NaCl compared with those in air. 2) In fractographic results, the overload marking by single overload appear remarkably in air, but indistinctly in water and 3% NaCl solution. 3) The effect of crack closure on crack propagation is most remarkable in the beginning of crack propagation. With crack propagation, the crack closure level and its effect decrease greatly.

  • Numerical analysis was carried out by applying the concept of E-D(expansion-deflection) nozzle to dual bell nozzle. We used the CEA code to calculate the chemical composition of the nozzle and to analyze the freezing flow of 8 species. The turbulence model was chosen as the $k-{\omega}$ SST. We applied the concept of E-D nozzle to the dual bell nozzle and performed the calculated transition altitude and performance. As a result of the interpretation, the application of the E-D nozzle concept led to the formation of over-expansion conditions, which resulted in an increase in the transition altitude.

  • Recently, many studies on crop yield prediction using deep learning technology have been conducted. These algorithms have difficulty constructing a linear map between input data sets and crop prediction results. Furthermore, implementation of these algorithms positively depends on the rate of acquired attributes. Deep reinforcement learning can overcome these limitations. This paper analyzes the performance of DQN, Double DQN and Dueling DQN to improve crop yield prediction. The DQN algorithm retains the overestimation problem. Whereas, Double DQN declines the over-estimations and leads to getting better results. The proposed models achieves these by reducing the falsehood and increasing the prediction exactness.

  • 평판재하시험은 재하시험시 표층의 매우 잘 다져진 곳에 대한 지지력 계수를 획득하여 실다짐도를 과대 평가하는 결과를 초래할 수 있다. 이에 착안하여 응력도달 범위가 작은 평판재하시험을 지양하고 콘관입시험으로부터 획득되는 노상의 관입지수로부터 지반의 다짐도를 추정할 수 있는 콘관입시험기와 구동시스템 및 해석 프로그램을 개발하였다.

단일 과대하중에의한 크랙지연 거동에 관한 연구

  • Single overload tests are carried out for SS41. Specimens are used hollow type and solid type that stress condition prevail plane stress and plane strain at surface crack. According to the crack initiation and propagation period, single overload applies to three regime and overload ratios change into 1.5, 2.0. Crack retardation zones at initation range aren't different in both specimens respectively, however at propagation range come into large scale in hollow specimen. Delayed load cycles come into large scale in solid type. And the more the overload ratio increase, the larger the retardation zone increase but the magnitude doesn't exactly equal to the expected from the overload ratio.
