  • 일반적으로 공기조화에 대하여 이야기할 때 온도조건은 중요하게 생각하고 습도는 부수적인 요소로 생각해버리는 경향이 있다. 그러나 습도는 공조시스템을 구성하는데 필요한 다른 요소들과 함께 매우 중요한 요소이며 산업 분야에 따라서는 최우선적으로 고려되어야 할 사항중의 하나이다. 실제로 습도는 철강류와 곡식의 저장 및 병원의 수술실을 비롯하여 제약과 반도체 산업 및 섬유의 제조공정 등의 분야에서 중요하게 다루어지고 있으며 여타 분야에서도 냉방장치의 보급과 더불어 온도에 대한 욕구가 충족되면서 습도에 대한 관심이 늘어나고 있다.

  • 최근 세계적으로 환경보호에 대한 관심이 고조됨에 따라 기술개발 방향이 환경을 고려한 규정 및 장치에 제한을 받고 있다. 따라서 냉동 공조 기기에 사용되는 기존의 CFC계열 냉매가 오존층 파괴의 주 원임이 판명됨에 따라 환경 문제가 없는 HCFC계열인 R123와 HFC R134a로의 대체가 불가피하게 되었다.

  • 지구 온난화에 따른 환경변화로 인하여 최근 10년('02~'11)간 여름의 일수는 4일, 겨울 일수는 16일 각각 증가하였다. 현재 육계사 내의 고밀도 밀집사육으로 인하여 고온스트레스로 하절기 육계의 폐사율이 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 2016년 폭염으로 닭 406.1천수, 오리 15.7천수, 메추리 70천수, 돼지 8천수가 폐사하였다. 이에 혹서기 가축이 약430만수가 폐사하였으며 피해 보상금액 128억원 소요되었다. 본 연구에서는 하절기 고온스트레스 경감과 폐사율 저감을 위해 계사 냉난방 공조와 냉온 음용수 급수를 병행할 수 있는 고효율 환경 개선 시스템을 개발하여 고온스트레스 저감 및 생산성 향상에 목적이 있다. 계사 냉난방 공조 및 냉온음용수 급수 병행 시스템 설계요인을 분석하고 냉난방 공조부하, 냉온수 생산 부하를 고려한 시스템 용량 산정하고 히트펌프, 축열조, 냉난방 및 냉온수 분배장치 등 구성요소로서 공조 및 냉온음용수 급수시스템을 설치하였다. 시스템 용량은 공기-물 히트펌프(10kW,1대), 축열조(10톤), 음용수조(2톤), 열교환기(열교환량,5만kcal/h), 물순환펌프(250W,2대) 및 팬코일유닛(1만kcal/h,4대)으로 시스템 모니터링 및 제어 시스템 개발하여 계사 내 환경, 시스템 성능에 대한 실시간 모니터링을 통하여 저장하였다. 조사항목으로 위치별 온습도, 체중, 사료섭취량, 페사율 등을 조사 분석하였다. 연구결과 계사의 내부온도는 시험구에서는 평균 $25.3^{\circ}C$를 나타내었고 대조구에서는 평균 $28.1^{\circ}C$로서 $2.8^{\circ}C$ 높게 나타났으나 상대습도는 시험구 76.2%, 대조구 75.0%로 큰 차이가 없었다. 냉수급여에 따른 계사 높이별 내부온도는 상하의 온도차가 $4.5^{\circ}C$로 크게 차이가 났다. 육계의 음수량은 혹서기 냉수를 급여한 시험구에서 일일 23.2L, 대조구에서는 21.5L를 섭취하였다. 일일 사료섭취량은 냉수를 급여한 시험구에서 937g, 대조구에서는 725g을 섭취하였다. 사료섭취량은 냉수를 급여한 시험구가 212g 많이 섭취하였으며 사료요구율은 시험구는 1.86, 대조구는 1.91로서 시험구가 낮게 나타났다. 체중은 냉수를 급여한 시험구가 359g 많았으며 증체량은 냉수를 급여한 시험구에서 495g, 대조구에서는 392g으로 나타났다. 폐사율은 냉수를 급여한 시험구에서 84%가 폐사율을 줄일 수 있었다.

A Study on Characteristic Analysis for Indoor Ventilation Performance of Mechanical Ventilation System (기계 환기시스템의 실내 환기성능 특성 해석에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes to analyze the ventilation performance of a room air conditioner for indoor comfort control. An experimental apparatus consists of a test room, the room air conditioner, a tracer gas measurement system, a supply fan and a controller. Ventilation performance as a function of human occupancy is evaluated with supply ventilation air using a tracer gas technique of CO2 gas in the test room. The ventilation performance is evaluated in a step-down method based on ASTM Standard E741-83 and is found to increase with increasing supply ventilation rate. The CO2 gas concentration is decayed rapidly without human occupancy. The ventilation performance without human occupancy increases up to 55% and the ventilation performance with one person increases up to 25% at the supply air of 570 lpm comparing with a natural reduction after one hour. A modeling for ventilation performance of a room air conditioner in a test room is presented using experimental datum.

Studies on the Performance of a Cam Driving Electronic Expansion Valve for Vehicles (캠구동 방식을 적용한 자동차 공조시스템용 전자팽창밸브의 성능에 관한 연구)

  • Air conditioning part designs are moving towards higher efficiency and productivity. The expansion device is one of the core parts of an air conditioning system and controls the refrigerant quantity, evaporation load, compression capacity, and condensation capacity. In this study, an electronic expansion valve for two working fluids ($CO_2$ and R134a) was developed for air conditioning systems in vehicles. The valve uses an eccentric cam driving structure instead of a lead screw to decrease manufacturing costs and increase productivity. The pressure resistance and flow rate performance was evaluated using numerical analysis. At maximum operation conditions and burst pressure conditions with $CO_2$, the maximum stresses on the valve model were about 98 MPa and 223 MPa, respectively. The maximum flow rates of $CO_2$ and R134a with different orifice openings were about 550 kg/h and 386 kg/h, respectively. The performance with R134a was verified by experiments.

  • Recently, automobile air conditioning systems have applied an alternative refrigerant that can replace the high GWP refrigerant R134a due to the global warming problem. This study simulated the performance of an automobile climate control system with an internal heat exchanger and TXV. Refrigerant R1234yf was applied as the working fluid. Amesim, a commercial software program, was used to model the main components of the compressor, condenser, TXV, evaporator, and internal heat exchanger. As the outside temperature increased from 30℃ to 40℃, the cooling capacity of the system decreased by 3.1%, and the power consumption of the compressor increased by 17.1%. In addition, The performance characteristics of the refrigeration cycle were simulated by increasing the fin pitch of the condenser from 0.8 mm to 1.4 mm. When the fin pitch was larger than 1.0 mm, the condenser capacity decreased, and the system COP was lowered by 5.9%. When the fin pitch of the condenser was 0.8 mm, which was smaller than 1.0 mm, there was no significant change in the system performance. Hence, the optimal performance was observed at a fin pitch of 1.0 mm.

  • At present, using of electromagnetic control valve (ECV) in external variable displacement swash plate type compressor is a common issue. Solenoid operated ECV controls vehicle air conditioning system through a pulse width modulation (PWM) input signal that supplied from an external source. Different port pressure controls the swash plate movement inside the compressor at certain angles that finally determines the refrigerant flow rate to the vehicle compartment for passengers comfort. In this paper, crankcase pressure flow (Pc flow) is calculated with some ECV samples with corresponding to amount of variable supply of current ranges from 0.20Amp to 0.95Amp.

  • A numerical study has been carried out on the optimization of an air cleaning system which was installed in a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system (HVAC) system of subway station for particle removal. Required particle removal efficiencies of three different air cleaning systems were calculated from ventilation rate, and indoor/outdoor concentration of PM10. Mass balance equations of PM10 were used to solve the required particle removal efficiencies. Fibrous filter was considered as an air cleaning system. Calculations were carried out about two different places which were waiting area and platform of subway station, respectively. This study proposed optimized design and operation condition of each air cleaning system.

Expansion Valves Characteristics for Development of Control System on Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems (공조.냉동장치의 제어시스템 개발을 위한 팽창밸브 특성)

  • Performance characteristics of a refrigeration systems with various expansion valves and superheat changes were investigated experimentally. Experimental data have been taken utilizing three different devices; a thermostatic expansion valve, a linear type electronic expansion valve and a solenoid type electronic expansion valve. The data taken from tile three types of expansion valves were discussed with the temperature distribution of each zone in the evaporator and the superheat changes of the evaporator outlet In each zone temperature distribution fluctuated larger with the thermostatic expansion valve than with the electronic expansion valves. The optimum superheat ranged from $5^{\circ}C\;to\;15^{\circ}C$, and the superheat with the thermostatic expansion valve showed hunting phenomenon, which affected the evaporating and condensing temperature.

  • A lot of conventional automotive components driven by mechanical power source are being replaced with electrical ones to comply with the demands of market and customer, therefore the amount of electric energy used in a vehicle will be increased continuously. The increment of electric power demand causes interest on new higher power system such as 42V Power Net, and furthermore necessity for development of energy storage device is highlighted recently. This paper present the design of the BLDC motor for electric air-conditioner in 42V system and compare with the characteristics of several type BLDC motor.
