개방형 CNC에서 주축과 서브 주축 동기를 위한 최적화 연구 (The Optimization of Main and Sub Spindle′s Synchronous In Opening-CNC)

  • This paper introduces that the lathe optimize for main and sub spindle's synchronous in Opening-CNC. In view of optimal design, the mathematical modelling and the frequency domain analysis of spindle's system are performed. For the compensation of synchronous error in compounded manufacture process, the optimization method of motor drive's control parameter and the related parameter is proposed. By the experiment in prototype machines using the server/client program, the validity of the proposed method is verified.

CNC 공작기계의 NURBS 보간 알고리즘에 관한 연구 (NURBS Interpolation Algorithm for CNC Machines)

  • Increasing demands on precision machining of free-form surface have necessitated that the tool to move not only position error as small as possible, but also with smoothly varying feedrates. This paper presents new algorithm for high precision 3D(3-dimensional) NURBS(Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline) interpolation in the reference-pulse technique. Based o the minimum path error strategy, interpolation algorithm was designed to follow the NURBS curve. Using this algorithm a real-time 3D NURBS interpolator was developed in software. The algorithm implemented in a PC showed promising results in interpolation error and speed performance. It is expected that this can be applied to the CNC systems for the high precision machining of complex shapes.

  • In order to predict the accuracy of the linear motion machine tools, the force characteristics such as the detent force, the attraction force and the moment are estimated by analytical method or FEM. In this paper, we proposed the analytical calculation process for the force characteristics of a linear motor. The analytical results are good agreement with FEM one. They could be used for the precision prediction simulator with the information of linear bearings, encoders, etc.

  • The spindle is a very important part of machine tool. The evaluation of spindle motion is required for improving the performance of machine tools. The evaluation tools have been developed for precison spindle by the reversal technique, and 3D error map motion of spindle is proposed. This technique makes us understand the total movement of spindle more easily. The proposed technique has been successfully applied to practical machine tools, giving high potentials for the spindle performance measurement.

  • Linear displacement accuracy is one of the most important factors that determine machine tool accuracy. The laser interferometer has been usually recommended for the measurement of linear displacement accuracy. In this paper, microcomputer aided measurement and compensation system has been developed forthe pitch error in a CNC machine tool. For accurate pitch error calculation, the analysis code for the pitch error has been also implemented according to the international standards(ISO). The PC based automatic compensation system for the pitch error is also implemented. A new algorithm for calculating optimum value for pitch error compensation is proposed, minimizing the deviation at each target points. The development system has been applied to a practical CNC maching center and the performance has been demonstrated.

  • It can be acquired the high effective productivity through of high speed, precision of machine tools, and then, machine tools will be got a competitive power. Industrially advanced countries already developed that the high speed feed is 60m/min using the high speed ball screw. Also, a lot of problems have happened the feed drive system. It is necessary to study about the characteristics of thermal deformation played a more critical role than static stiffness and dynamic rigidity in controlling the level of machining accuracy. In spite of the improving the thermal deformation characteristics of machine tools at the design stage, there are always some residual errors that have to be compensated for during machining. In this study, thermal deformation error automated compensation device with multiple linear regression is proposed that thermal deformation error can be eliminated at the machining stage. The developed device has been practically applied to the feed drive unit.

  • This study presents a new type of real-t~me CNC interpolator that is capable of generating cutter paths for ball-end milling of NURBS surfaces. The proposed surface interpolator comprises real-time algorithms for cutter-contact (CC) path scheduling and CC path interpolation. Especially, in this study, a new interpolator module to regulate cutting forces is developed. This proposed algorithm utilizes variable-feedrate commands according to the curvature of machined surfaces. The proposed interpolator is evaluated and compared with the conventional method based on constant feedrates through computer simulation.

  • A compact measurement system is developed to measure in-process errors due to thermal deformation of a machine tool, this system is composed of a gauge, 5gap-sensors and a PC. The gauge is made of invar, which is a material that has a very low thermal expansion coefficient. A new neural network model is constructed to estimate thermally induced machine tool errors based on the measured data,the given data,that is a width of cut,a depth of cut, a feed rate, a spindel speed etc, and the calculated data. The detail of the model proposed is described in the paper together with the experimental methodologies using a proposed compact measurement system to examine the validity of the proposed approach.

  • Efforts have been devoted to developing rapid and accurate methods for measuring the errors of machine tools. The method os measurement and calibration of machine tool errors should be general and efficient. The objective of this study is to show in detail the full sequence from the measurement of errors factors to the verification of the positioning accuracy after compensation for the volumetric error. In this paper, we described the steps in measuring the volumetric error parameters, a general error model composed of error parameters, temperature, and the desired position. The validity of the error calibration methods proposed in this paper was tested using a vertical 3-axis CNC machine with a laser interferometer and a ball bar.

  • In this paper, a methodology to assess machine tool errors quickly is suggested using a touch probe and a cube array artifact. Parameterized error models derived are expressed of model coefficient vectors and backlash errors to be determined. To determine the unknown model coefficient vectors, a cube array artifact is proposed. Considering CMM measurement data of cube vertex coordinates. error vectors for all axes ate obtained and used to complete the error model. Some simulation results show that the suggested error model can follow the true values within 10$\mu\textrm{m}$. To verify the error model, a circular part with two concentric circles is measured and simulated. The results show that the differences between CMM and OMM radius errors are smaller than 15$\mu\textrm{m}$.
