Frequency Compatibility of FH Spread spectrum Communications in TV Channels (FH대역확산통신과 TV채널의 주파수 양립성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the effect of a FH spread spectrum communication interference in TV channels and frequency compatibility in 30-88 MHz frequency band. To calculate this interferece, the strength of electric field of TV signals is derived as a function of distance between TV transmitter and receiver. An interference model is established based upon thefield strength by using the relation between the transmitted power of FH spread spectrum communications and the distance between the TV image signals, which makes TV screen a cceptble, Simultaneous transmission of FH sprea spectrum signals and TV signals is shown to be feasible, as far as the interference level is lower than the TV image signal level by 23.5dBm. As a result of frequency analysis and experiment, the FH spread spectrum communication can be used together with TV channels.

  • This paper proposes CSMA/CD-TDM/SD(carrier sense multiple access/collision detection-time division multiplexing/silence detection) control scheme in bus type integrated data/voice local area networks. Simulation results show that this control scheme satisfies the lossless real-time constraints of the voice traffic and improves the data throughput-delay characteristics as compared to those of the CSMA/CD/MPD and the CSMA/CD-TDMA.

  • This paper presents the results of Ka band qualification model multiplexers for COMS Payload to be launched in 2008. These are the input and output multiplexers of the satellite transponder to use available frequency resources effectively and the diplexer of the satellite antenna to use the same reflector for both transmitting and receiving frequency bands, respectively. The input multiplexer with four frequency channels has four(4) independent channel filters which consist of an 8-pole elliptic band-pass filter for high frequency selectivity and a 2-pole equalizer for group delay equalization. For low insertion loss, mass and volume reduction, manifold type os employed for output multiplexer. E-plane T-junction is used for either splitting or combining a frequency band into two sub-bands. Asymmetric inductive irises are used to tune the receiving filter easily. The electrical performance and environmental test such as vibration test, mechanical shock test, thermal vacuum test and EMC test are performed and the results of all qualification model multiplexers are compliant to the requirement of each multiplexer. Followed by this qualification, the flight model equipment will be developed.

  • The objective of this paper is to investigate the H & Channel type lining board's capacity by using the fatigue test. The accumulated test result will be used to analyze the relation between the cause of crack occurrence and the behavior of structure. H type lining boards was comfortable behaved in over one million recycled. loading test. In case of channel type lining board specimens occurred the fatigue fracture in about one hundred thousand recycled loading test, and then could not secured endurance life that used servicing load.

  • Since radio interference has occurred in the TRS frequency band in the south coastal area, Korea from 1994, similar interference has been observed in the mobile-cellular frequency band. Measurement showed that the sources of the radio interference are those from the base stations for digital cellular systems in Japan. This because the receiving frequency of the base stations in Korea is same as the transmitting frequency of the base stations in Japan. Since the distance between Korea and Japan is 240 ~ 300 km, we can conclude that the main reason of the interference is ducting. In this paper a ducting channel is modeled by split-step DMFT algorithm, and simulation results for measured index profile far east coast and west sea area are analyzed.

  • Machine learning, which has recently innovatively developed, has become an important technology that can solve various optimization problems. In this paper, we introduce the latest research papers that solve the problem of channel sharing in heterogeneous networks using machine learning, analyze the characteristics of mainstream approaches, and present a guide to future research directions. Existing studies have generally adopted Q-learning since it supports fast learning both on online and offline environment. On the contrary, conventional studies have either not considered various coexistence scenarios or lacked consideration for the location of machine learning controllers that can have a significant impact on network performance. One of the powerful ways to overcome these disadvantages is to selectively use a machine learning algorithm according to changes in network environment based on the logical network architecture for machine learning proposed by ITU.

  • 최근 재료 및 시공 기술의 지속적 발전으로 인하여, 사장교, 현수교 등 장대교량의 건설이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 장대교량들은 사회적 및 경제적인 중요성이 매우 크므로 교량 완공 후 유지관리 및 구조적 건전성을 모니터링하기 위하여 교량 각 주요 구조부재에 다양한 센서를 설치함으로써 교량모니터링시스템을 구축하여 외부하중에 의한 교량구조물의 거동을 감지, 수집, 분석하여 교량의 건전성을 파악하기 위하여 장대교량의 공용성과 안전성 확보에 많은 연구가 진행 되고 있으며 현재 국내외 다수의 장대교량들에는 다양한 센서로 이루어진 구조 건전성 모니터링 시스템이 설치, 운용되고 있다. 실제로 서해대교, 광안대교, 홍콩 TsingMa Bridge, 미국 Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge와 같은 실제 교량에도 적용된 바 있다. 하지만, 이상의 구조 건전성 모니터링 시스템 기술이 널리 활용되는 데는 여러 가지 장애물이 있는데, 그 중에서 가장 큰 것이 시스템을 구축하는 데 과다한 비용이 소요된다는 점이다. 예로 홍콩의 Tsing Ma 대교의 경우 350개의 센서를 설치하는데 약 8백만불이 넘는 금액이 들었으며(Farrar 등, 2004), Celeby(2002)의 보고에 의하면 각 센서의 채널 당 케이블의 설치 비용으로 약 5000불의 비용이 소모되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 불편함을 극복하기 위하여 무선 센서를 개발하고, 이를 한강 상 교량 중 올림픽대교에 적용, 사장교의 구조 건전성을 저비용 및 높은 편의성으로 모니터링 하기 위한 테스트베드를 구축하여 무선 계측 시스템의 정확성 및 적용성을 확인하였다.

Time-Lapse Crosswell Seismic Study to Evaluate the Underground Cavity Filling (지하공동 충전효과 평가를 위한 시차 공대공 탄성파 토모그래피 연구)

  • Time-lapse crosswell seismic data, recorded before and after the cavity filling, showed that the filling increased the velocity at a known cavity zone in an old mine site in Inchon area. The seismic response depicted on the tomogram and in conjunction with the geologic data from drillings imply that the size of the cavity may be either small or filled by debris. In this study, I attempted to evaluate the filling effect by analyzing velocity measured from the time-lapse tomograms. The data acquired by a downhole airgun and 24-channel hydrophone system revealed that there exists measurable amounts of source statics. I presented a methodology to estimate the source statics. The procedure for this method is: 1) examine the source firing-time for each source, and remove the effect of irregular firing time, and 2) estimate the residual statics caused by inaccurate source positioning. This proposed multi-step inversion may reduce high frequency numerical noise and enhance the resolution at the zone of interest. The multi-step inversion with different starting models successfully shows the subtle velocity changes at the small cavity zone. The inversion procedure is: 1) conduct an inversion using regular sized cells, and generate an image of gross velocity structure by applying a 2-D median filter on the resulting tomogram, and 2) construct the starting velocity model by modifying the final velocity model from the first phase. The model was modified so that the zone of interest consists of small-sized grids. The final velocity model developed from the baseline survey was as a starting velocity model on the monitor inversion. Since we expected a velocity change only in the cavity zone, in the monitor inversion, we can significantly reduce the number of model parameters by fixing the model out-side the cavity zone equal to the baseline model.
