Traditionally, the value of a product or service was provided to customers by the manufacturer. However, in modern society, participation of consumers in the production of goods and services is widely integrated into the general activities of corporations. Collaborative innovation refers to the company and customer working together in creating value with the customers participating in the designing, production, marketing, and sales of products. Accordingly, it would be ill-fitted to conduct collaborative innovation using previous business methods. Though collaborative innovation in the business sector is expected to increase, there are limits to its implementation at present. This study proposes framework in developing collaborative innovation-purpose business models and a conceptual platform for its execution.

본 연구는 인터넷 전자상거래를 이용하는 소비자를 대상으로 인터넷 공동구매의 동기요인(시장불확실성, 가격의식, 집단주의, 혁신주의)이 협상력과 관여도에 따른 공동구매에 대한 태도와 공동구매의 의도에 미치는 영향에 대해서 실증 분석하였다. 시장불확실성, 가격의식, 집단주의, 혁신주의는 인터넷 공동구매태도의 선행변수로 가정하였으며 협상력, 관여도는 공동구매태도의 조절변수로 가정하였다. 그리고 공동구매태도는 인터넷 공동구매의도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 가정하였다. 실증분석은 인터넷상에서 제품을 한번이라도 구매해 본 경험이 있거나 인터넷 공동구매를 한번이라도 해 본 경험이 있는 고객을 대상으로 설문조사 하였다. 조사분석 결과, 공동구매 동기요인인 시장불확실성, 가격의식, 집단주의, 혁신주의가 높을수록 공동구매태도에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 협상력이 높을 때보다는 낮을 때 공동구매태도에 부(-)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 관여도는 낮을 때보다는 높을 때 공동구매태도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 공동구매태도는 공동구매의도에 정(+)의 매우 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 인터넷을 통한 공동구매 시 동기요인인 시장불확실성, 가격의식, 집단주의, 혁신주의는 협상력이 낮을 때와 관여도가 높을 때 공동구매태도에 더 긍정적인 영향을 미치며 이러한 공동구매태도는 공동구매의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

1980년대 이후 과학기술자들의 공동연구가 산학연 혹은 학제간 공동연구라는 형태로 활발히 진행되고 있고, 최근에는 네트워크이론으로 까지 발전하고 있다. 그런데 우리나라에서는 산학연 공동연구는 연구결과의 산업적인 활용 촉진을 위한다는 성격이 강해 세부적인 내용에 대한 연구가 비교적 활발했지만, 학제간 공동연구에 대한 연구는 거의 없다해도 과언이 아니다. 그럼에도 기술혁신학회와 같은 경우는 학제간 공동연구 촉진을 학회의 중요한 추진방향으로 잡고 있을 정도이다. 따라서 본 연구는 학제간 공동연구를 중심으로 국내 과학기술자들의 공동연구에 대한 인식이 무엇인가를 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 공동연구를 수직적인 공동연구와 수평적인 공동연구로 나누고, 수평적인 공동연구를 학제간 연구라 규정한다. 또한 학제간 연구를 4개의 유형으로 구분해 과학기술자들의 인식과 행태가 어떻게 나타나고 있는지를 분석한다. 분석대상은 과학기술계 전 분야의 3,184명에 대한 설문조사 결과이다.

Technology innovation is a competitive weapon of sustainable economic growth at the urban and regional level and the growth of firms. In this study, we empirically investigate the effects of collaborative R&D activity on product innovative outputs and process innovative outputs in manufacturing firms in Korea. We analyze the links between collaborative R&D activity and two types of innovative outputs using an alternative negative binomial regression model. The major finding is that collaborative R&D activity has significant positive effects on both product and process innovation. The results also identify a positive link between all types of innovative outputs and other R&D activities including internal R&D activity, patent activity, external technology and capital goods acquisitions. To induce corporate growth that enhances the productivity of individual firms and produces prolonged economic growth, policy makers should place greater emphasis on creating effective arrangements to promote establishing collaborative R&D strategies for manufacturing firms.

Central government of Korea devised the balanced national development as one of important agenda of government administration, and set up special act for balanced national development. According to special act, a plan to transfer public institutions to local areas was publicized on June 24, 2005. Thus 175 public institutions located in the capital area will be transfered to 11 local governments, and innovative cities will be built in local areas until 2012. However, Gwangju and Jeonnam province adopted not two individual innovative cities but one common innovative city in cooperation with two local governments. This study focuses on the characteristics of location selection process of common innovative city in Gwangju and Jeonnam province. Discussion about construction of common innovative city was started in need of new model for common development of two provinces, and most of peoples agreed a plan to establish on common innovative city within Jeonnam area near Gwangju area. Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Innovation Council, in particular, played an important role in the process of location selection and initial discussion about common innovative city. In addition, Common innovative city to be built in Naju city will be provided positive regional development effects in several dimensions. In result, it has been evaluated as a successful model of innovative city to be constructed with transfer of public institutions to local areas.

In a recognition of regional innovation system approach for a co-development effort of the Cheonan-Asan area, Chungnam, this research conducted a survey from the local leaders of these two cities. The results of the survey show that most local leaders strongly agree with the necessity of co-development efforts, that some suggest a merge of two cities, and that some suggest industrial development programs in the city border. The local leaders expect that public officials should play a major role in co-development of the two cities while local leaders are disappointed with the public officials activities. They also highly expect that civilian leaders (NGOs) and professors should play important roles in this matter. Upon these results, the research suggests to formulate a cooperative regional innovation system for the co-development of the two neighboring cities by three steps.

Confronted with increasing global competition and rising research and development risks, the global open innovation has receiving increased attention. This study empirically investigates whether or not international cooperative R&D is effective by evaluating the quality indicators with the patents with international co-applications. The number of patents with international co-applications has dramatically increased in recent years. According to the results, the outcome from international cooperative R&D is prominent in term of all the evaluation criteria such as the number of citation, patent families, claims, and et cetera, compared with that from domestic cooperative R&D. Based on the patent quality, the information technology sector holds the top spot and high-tech sectors such as bio and automobile industries show the better quality performances. By identifying high betweeneess centrality in the network analysis of international cooperative R&D, the US is indicated as the most central country in such cooperative activity, and then Germany, the UK, Canada, and France come after.

This study was conducted using social network analysis, variance analysis, and regression analysis to investigate the effects of cooperation between innovators on technical performance. Based on data of joint applicants filed with the Korean Intellectual Property Office from 2009 to 2012, we derive network structural variables and characteristic variables, and identify network characteristics that affect the overall network structural type, roles for each subject of innovation, and innovation performance. The findings are as follows: ⅰ) The network of this study is a distributed, small-world network within which relatively small groups of innovators are distributed. ⅱ) Universities were found to play the most important role in cooperation, but diversity of cooperating partners exhibited similar effects. ⅲ) It was shown that access to quick and accurate knowledge from familiar partners exhibits a more positive influence on generating innovative performance than unfamiliar knowledge from a variety of cooperating partners in non-familiar fields.

Korean Land Spatialization Program(KLSP) is the R&D program of the National GIS Project for developing ubiquitous GIS core technologies under control of Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs(MLTM). The first program of KLSP, from 2006 to 2012, initiated with $132 million (US dollars) of national fund and $42 million of matching fund. KLPS which aims 'Innovation of the GIS technology for the ubiquitous Korean land' consists of 5 core research projects and 1 research coordination project to practically utilize and commercialize the results of core research. Korean Land Spatialization Group(KLSG) is planning the KLSP proving ground for testing, integrating, exhibiting the KLSP's outcomes. In the near future, this proving ground would be utilized as a national ubiquitous GIS proving ground. The key objective of this paper is to present the conceptual designs and basic plans. In addition, this paper discusses characteristics of the outcomes which are applied to KLSP proving ground.

최근 4차 산업혁명 등 대외적 R&D 환경의 급속한 변화와 이로 인한 과학기술의 융 복합 및 첨단화가 가속화됨에 따라 이에 대응하기 위해 신산업분야를 중심으로 국가 간 공동협력이 점차 활발해짐에도 불구하고, 우리나라는 연구개발 주체의 연구역량 열위, 연구주체의 폐쇄성, 국가 R&D 제도적 미흡 등으로 인해 국가 간 공동연구 활동도가 매우 미흡한 편이다. 2016년 국가과학 기술혁신역량평가 국제협력 항목에서도 우리나라의 국제협력 항목지수는 0.206으로 2015년(0.182) 대비 0.024p 상승하였으나, 여전히 OECD 30개국 중 16위에 머무르는 것으로 나타났으며, 국제협력 상위 3개국에 대한 상대수준에서도 평균 10.3% 수준에 불과하여 국제 공동연구 활동도를 높이기 위한 다각적인 개선방안 확립에 대한 요구가 점차 증대되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2015년 연구에 이어 미래 신산업 분야에서 우리나라와 해외 주요국의 국제 공동연구 현황을 중심으로 핵심연구자 간(연구 활동도 상위 5위 이하) 국제공동연구에 대한 활동도 비교 분석을 통해 정확한 현황을 진단하고, 향후 우리나라 연구주체의 연구개발 개방화, 국제 협력 전략적 분야 및 대상 발굴, 국제공동연구 활성화 등에 대한 발전방안을 고찰하고자 하였다. 국내 및 글로벌 핵심 연구자 간 글로벌 공동연구 현황을 분석하기 위해서 KDD/KM 방법론을 활용한 공동연구자 분석(Co-author analysis)네트워크 기법을 활용하였으며, 동 방법론의 활용을 통해서 신산업 분야 중 가사로봇분야의 상위 10개 국가, 기관, 연구자에 대해 분석하고, 논문 활동도가 높은 글로벌 및 한국의 상위 5위까지의 핵심 연구자를 대상으로 연구자 간 국제공동연구에 대한 현황 및 활동도에 대한 공동연구 네트워크 분석을 수행하였다.
