Studies on Aromatic Dihydrazines (IV). A New Synthesis of m-Phenylenedihydrazine via Tetrazonium Salt (芳香族디히드라진에 關한 硏究 (第4報). 테트라아조늄염을 통한 메타페닐렌디히드라진의 새 合成法)

  • m-Phenylenedihydrazine(MPDH) was prepared via tetrazonium salt: m-Phenylenediamine was tetrazotized with sodium nitrite at $-10∼-5^{\circ}C$ in concentrated hydrochloric acid medium, reused tetrazonium salt was reduced with stannous chloride and MPDH was separated as dihydrochloride which was recrystallized from alcohol. The free base of MPDH being unstable it could hardly be obtained in the air. $MPDH{\cdot}2HCl$ did not show sharp melting point but decomposed at $185^{\circ}C$. MPDH, like aromatic monohydrazines, condensed with mono-and dicarbonyl compounds giving dihydrazones or cyclic compounds. The structures of condensation products obtained from the reaction of MPDH with carbonyl compounds are determined.

Study on the Combination of In-situ Chemical Oxidation Method by using Hydrogen Peroxide with the Air-sparging Method for Diesel Contaminated Soil and Groundwater (과산화수소를 이용한 현장원위치 화학적 산화법과 공기분사법(Air-sparging)을 연계한 디젤 오염 토양/지하수 동시 정화 실내 실험 연구)

  • Laboratory scale experiments were performed to investigate the removal efficiency of the in-situ chemical oxidation method and the air-sparging method for diesel contaminated soil and groundwater. Two kinds of diesel contaminated soils (TPH concentration : 2,401 mg/kg and 9,551 mg/kg) and groundwater sampled at Busan railroad station were used for the experiments. For batch experiments of chemical oxidation by using 50% hydrogen peroxide solution, TPH concentration of soil decreased to 18% and 15% of initial TPH concentration. For continuous column experiments, more than 70% of initial TPH in soil was removed by using soil flushing with 20% hydrogen peroxide solution, suggesting that most of diesel in soil reacted with hydrogen peroxide and degraded into $CO_2$ or $H_2O$ gases. Batch experiment for the air-sparging method with artificially contaminated groundwater (TPH concentration : 810 mg/L) was performed to evaluate the removal efficiency of the air-sparging method and TPH concentration of groundwater decreased to lower than 5 mg/L (waste water discharge tolerance limit) within 72 hours of air-sparging. For box experiment with diesel contaminated real soil and groundwater, the removal efficiency of air-sparging was very low because of the residual diesel phase existed in soil medium, suggesting that the air-sparging method should be applied to remediate groundwater after the free phase of diesel in soil medium was removed. For the last time, the in-situ box experiment for a unit process mixed the chemical oxidation process with the air-sparging process was performed to remove diesel from soil and groundwater at a time. Soil flushing with 20% hydrogen peroxide solution was applied to diesel contaminated soils in box, and subsequently contaminated groundwater was purified by the air-sparging method. With 23 L of 20% hydrogen peroxide solution and 2,160 L of air-sparging, TPH concentration of soil decreased from 9,551 mg/kg to 390 mg/kg and TPH concentration of groundwater reduced to lower than 5 mg/L. Results suggested that the combination process of the in-situ hydrogen peroxide flushing and the air-sparging has a great possibility to simultaneously remediate fuel contaminated soil and groundwater.

  • Radiation grafting of acrylic acid onto nylon fabric has been studied by "simultaneous irradiation" method to render its surface more hydrophilic. Nylon fabric immersed in monomer solution was irradiated in air or under vacuum with gamma-rays from Co-60. Most parts of polyacrylic acid formed on the surface of the fabric were extracted off from the fabric with 0.1% solution of sodium hydroxide at 10$0^{\circ}C$. The chemical components of the grafted product have been determined. By comparing graft polymer with ungrafted polyamide, the rate of water absorption and antistatic behavior are improved. improved.

  • The Single Species, Unreacted Flow Model which is effectively applicable on the computational analysis of rocket exhaust flow is introduced in this paper. The basic concept of this model had been originated from chemically frozen analysis of hot air but it was complemented by compensating molecular weight and specific heat which was obtained CEA code analysis of exhaust plume. Comparing single species, unreacted model with the finite chemistry model, unreacted model can reduce calculation time to 1/5 while it makes similar simulation results.

  • 도시지역의 주 오염물질 중 하나인 입자상 물질(Particulate Matter:PM)은 공기역학적 직경 2.5$\mu\textrm{m}$을 기준으로 이산형 분포를 하여 2.5$\mu\textrm{m}$이하를 미세입자, 2.5$\mu\textrm{m}$이상을 조대입자로 나뉜다. 이 미세입자는 주로 자동차 배출, 산업연소에서 배출되는 가스상 물질의 2차 반응으로 발생한다(Pope et al., 1995). 미세입자는 상당량이 2차 반응에서 생성되는 물질이며, 크기가 작은 대신 상대적으로 표면적이 크기 때문에 각종 중금속과 유해 대기오염물질과의 흡착이 용이하여 호흡기 계통의 질병을 일으킬 수 있는 확률이 조대입자에 비해 높다고 알려져 있어 인체에 미치는 영향이 클 것으로 시사되고 있다(Dockery et al., 1998).   • $SnO_2$ 나노선은 n-type의 전기적 특성과 우수한 광 특성을 보이며, 전자소자, 광소자 뿐 아니라 다양한 종류의 가스 센서 등에 응용되고 있다. 그러나 $SnO_2$ 나노선은 공기중에서 전기적으로 불안정한 특성을 보이며, 도핑을 하지 않은 나노선 소자에서는 전자의 모빌러티가 높지 않다는 단점을 갖고 있다. 이를 개선하고자 본 연구에서는 화학기상증착법 (Chemical Vapor Deposition)으로 Sb을 도핑한 $SnO_2$ 나노선을 성장하여 전계방출효과 트랜지스터 (field effect transistor: FET)를 제작하여 전기적 특성과 UV 반응성의 변화를 측정하였다. Sb 도핑 양을 늘려감에 따라 전기적 특성이 반도체 특성에서 점점 금속 특성으로 변하는 것과 게이트 전압의 영향을 적게 받는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 도핑을 해준 $SnO_2$ 나노선의 경우 UV 반응과 회복 시간이 기존에 비하여 크게 감소하여 UV 센서에 더욱 적합해진 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 슬라이딩 트랜스퍼 공정을 이용하여 나노선을 원하는 기판에 정렬된 상태로 전이할 때 도핑한 나노선은 표면특성의 변화로 정렬도가 크게 감소하는 것을 확인하였고, 기판에 윤활제를 사용하여 정렬도를 높일 수 있었다.

  • Turbulent nonpremixed $H_2$-air jet flames are numerically investigated using the joint PDF model. The reaction progress variable is derived by assuming the radicals 0, H, and OH to be in partial equilibrium and additional species $HO_2$ and $H_2O_2$ in steady state. The model is extended to npnadiabatic flame by introducing additional variable for the transport of enthalpy and radiative source term is calculated using a local, geometry independent model. In terms of flame structure and NO formation, the predicted results are favorably agreed with experimental data. The effects of nonequilibrium chemistry and radiative heat loss on the thermal NO formation are discussed in detail.

  • 극심한 고온 및 고압 환경에 노출되기 쉬운 항공우주 구조물에서 발생하는 기계적 삭마 현상을 해석하기 위하여 영역/경계 분할법을 적용한 삭마 해석 모델을 제안하였다. 영역 및 경계는 상변화 현상에 의한 비선형 거동을 하는 삭마 부영역과 선형 거동을 하는 선형 열탄성 부영역, 공유면, 경계 공유면으로 분할하였다. 삭마 재료 내부의 열분해 반응은 엔탈피 방법을 이용하였으며, 표면 침식 반응은 공기역학적 전단 응력과 삭마 재료의 전단 강도를 기반으로 매칭 기법을 이용하였다. 화학적 및 열적 삭마는 고려하지 않았으며, 간단한 수치 해석을 통해서 기본적인 기계적 삭마 특성을 분석하였다.

  • 글라이딩 아크 플라즈마의 화학적 반응성을 이용하여 대표적 휘발성 유기 화합물인 벤젠의 분해를 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 실험에는 벤젠과 공기의 mixture gas를 사용하였다. 글라이딩 아크 플라즈마에 공급되는 전력을 변화시키며 각 regime의 방전 특성을 아크주의 방전 특성을 나타낸 O. Mayr의 식에 따라 살펴보았으며 플라즈마와의 반응전.후의 mixture gas내 포함되어 있는 벤젠 peak area의 크기를 GC(Gas Chromatography)를 통해 분석하였다.

  • An experimental study was performed for the analysis of frequency-equivalence ratio correlation in the methane-air premixed flame influenced by ultrasonic standing wave. Evolutionary features of the propagating flame were caught by high-speed camera, and the variation of flame-behavior including local velocities was investigated in detail using a post-processing analysis of the high-speed images. It was found that propagation-velocity augmentation of the methane-air premixed flame by the intervention of ultrasonic standing wave was made in leaner mixture, but the velocity diminished when the strength of chemical reaction was saturated around the slightly fuel-rich side of stoichiometry.
