지하철 역사 승강장과 대합실에 외부공기를 급기하고 내부공기를 배기하는 공기조화기에 대해 알아보고, 전국 지하철 역사에 적용되고 있는 공기조화기 에어필터의 현황을 분석하고자 한다. 그리고, 한국철도기술연구원에서 개발중인 교체가 필요없는 반영구적인 새로운 방식의 에어필터를 소개하고자 한다.

공기조화기는 건물내에서 일하는 사람의 공기환경을 좋게 하기 위한 시설로서 실내작업자와는 밀접한 관계가 있다. 공기환경에서는 공기의 온도, 습도와 풍속유지 범위를 정하고 탄산가스, 일산화탄소 및 부유먼지 함유량을 규제하고 있다. 더욱 정기적 측정을 하여 그 기록을 보관해야 한다. 이상과 같이 실내환경에 대한 감시가 엄격해짐으로 실내환경에 신경을 써야 할 것이다. 이런 문제 때문에 공기기술자라 할지라도 공기조화기의 기능을 어느정도 이해해 둘 필요가 있다, 그래서 2회에 걸쳐 공기조화기의 기초지식과 실무 주안점을 소개할까 한다.

국내산업계의 기술이 전반적으로 일본 기술을 답습하고, 이를 극복하고자 노력하는 상황이 공기조화설비분야에서도 예외는 아니다. 따라서 수년전의 일본 공조설비분야의 현황을 살펴보는 의미로 일본공기조화 위생공학회지 제61권 10호에 실린 "공조설비분야에 있어서 연구.개발의 동향"을 발췌하여 정리함으로써 국내의 공기조화분야가 나아갈 방향에 대한 참고자료로 삼고자 하였다.

Heating, Ventilation and hir Conditioning (HVAC) system in nuclear facility should be equipped and constructed more stable and allowable than that in common facility. The purpose of HVAC system is the maintenance of optimum working environment, the protection of worker against a contaminated air and the prevention of atmospheric contamination due to a outward ventilation, etc.. The basic scheme of a safety operation of nuclear facility is to prevent the atmospheric contamination even in low level. The adaptability of HVAC system should be taken into account in the design stage so that it is possible to modify the system which is in operation. In this study, the design requirements of HVAC system in nuclear facility and the HVAC systems in foreign countries are reviewed, and the results can be utilized in the design of HVAC system in nuclear facility.

1971년 9월 공기조화, 냉동, 위생, 환경과 각종 설비에 관한 학문적 연구와 기술발전을 위해 창립한 공기조화냉동공학회는 현재 3천3백여명이 똘똘 뭉쳐 모범적으로 학술활동을 펼치고 있다. 해마다 학회지 6회, 논문집 6회, 영문논문집 2회를 발간하는 등 96년에는 창립 25돌을 맞아 '온돌'을 주제로 국제학술대회를 열었으며 30돌인 2001년에도 국제학술대회 유치를 계획하고 있다.

The frequency characteristics of sound radiated by a line array of bubbles in water was investigated theoretically and experimentally. In the theory we proposed an effective coupled harmonic oscillator model for a line array of bubbles treating the interaction of only adjacent bubbles as the coupling of classical harmonic oscillators. For weak coupling of bubbles that the distance between adjacent bubbles is larger than the diameter of a bubble, the pressented theoretical model shows very good agreement with the experimental results.
