POSCO has been chosen as the most competitive steelmaker in the world, for the 4th year in a row. It's potentials and key success points lay at technology innovation as well as effective partnerships with suppliers and customers. Partnership with suppliers is based upon the effective supply chain management. While ERP system supports the standard business work flows, the biggest impact on business performance is created by exceptions and variability. A SCM Advanced Planning System reduces the amount of exceptional situations, helping to keep business in a standard mode of operation. A case summary on SCM Advanced Planning System of POSCO as well as its impact on firm performances is presented. As a supplement to this case study, we also investigate the employees' perceived level of SCM-related factors, including information sharing, collaboration, incentive system for suppliers and their impacts on SCM performances. As a conclusion, the practical implications of these findings are discussed.

Defense exports have overgrown in a short period, and items have been diversified with advanced high-end equipment, but exports have been stagnant due to the global economic recession and fierce competition. Weapons importers in the global market are diversified, volatility is higher, and global defense companies are also expanding their global value chain (GVC) By participating in the GVC of a global defense company, the defense SME can grow into a competitive company with specialized technology, rather than participating as a partner of a domestic system company. It is time to prepare an export promotion support plan. In this study, we selected five global companies with high value for the implementation of offset and general considerations on domestic SMEs' entry into the international parts supply chain and related cases, and investigated GVC entry requirements, the current status of cooperation partners, and the perceptions of GVC entry, through local surveys in Korea and overseas. Also, by considering the export target comprehensively, GVC stage, and the level of export competitiveness of domestic SMEs, strategies for promoting GVC participation of defense SMEs and improvements in government policies were derived and presented.

방송통신융합의 핵심으로 자리잡은 IPTV는 통신서비스와 방송산업의 경계를 허무는 동시에 새로운 시장을 형성하고 있다. 세계최고의 초고속 인터넷 망을 보유하고 있는 우리나라는 방송통신 융합규제에 묶여 IPTV분야가 상당기간 답보상태에 있었다. 반면 해외시장은 2008년에 2,500만 가입자를 넘어설 정도로 커지고 있는데 국내 IPTV공급업자들의 해외시장 진출 전략에 대한 국내 연구가 부족한 것이 문제이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내의 IPTV시장 답보상태에서도 IPTV의 필수 구성요소인 셋톱박스, CA/DRM, 미들웨어, 네트워크장비, 요금청구 플랫폼 등을 개발한 국내 IPTV공급업체들이 성공적으로 해외에 진출하기 위한 전략을 세우고 최적의 비즈니스를 펼칠 수 있도록 하는 요인을 발굴하여 글로벌전략 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

본 논문은 RFID를 활용하여 자동차 제조 분야의 Traceability 구축 사례를 연구한 것이다. 전통적인 자동차 제조 환경 분석을 통하여 자동차 제조 분야의 Traceability 구축의 필요성과 RFID 기술의 적용 가능성을 분석하였다. RFID 기술을 활용한 통한 Traceability 구축을 위한 제조 및 공급망 관련 프로세스의 변경 내용 및 효과에 대하여 분석하였다. 실제 사례 기업은 Traceability 구축을 통하여 기존의 일 단위 결산 재고방식에서 실시간 재고방식으로 전환할 수 있게 되었으며, 상주원의 재고량 판단으로 부품 공급 시기와 양을 결정했던 방식에서 실시간 정보전달로 입고와 불출량 결정할 수 있게 되어 사내부품고의 최소 최적화가 가능하게 되었으며, 납입지시 신뢰도 향상 및 정보이용범위 확대(트래킹, 품질정보 등)를 통한 오보충 및 재고 진부화 방지 효과를 얻고 있다. 본 논문은 사례 기업의 Traceability 구축 과정에서 프로세스 변경, 관리 내용의 변경, RFID 기술의 적용 부분, 협력사와의 협업 등에 관련된 주요 이슈에 대하여 분석하여 향후 관련 분야의 Traceability 구축시 고려 요소 및 시사점을 제시하였다.

This article introduces a recent innovation in Korea's human resources development policy in the SW sector. Facing serious problems in cultivating SW engineers such as a mismatch in supply and demand of SW workers, shortage of globally competitive SW professionals, and insufficient education and training of university graduates, the Korean government has decided to adopt a new paradigm in national SW engineering education, based on supply chain management (SCM) in manufacturing. SCM has been a major component of the corporate competitive strategy, enhancing organizational productiveness and responsiveness in a highly competitive environment. It weighs improving competitiveness of the supply chain as a whole via long-term commitment to supply chain relationships and a cooperative, integrated approach to business processes. These characteristics of SCM are believed to provide insight into a more effective IT education and university-industry collaboration. On the basis of the SCM literature, a framework for industry-oriented SW human resources development is designed, and then applied in the case of nurturing computer-software engineers in Korea. This approach is expected to fumish valuable implications not only to Korean policy makers, but also to other countries making similar efforts to enhance the effectiveness and flexibility in human resources development. The construction of SCM-based SW HRD model is first trial to apply SCM into SW HRD field. The model is divided into three kinds of primary activities and two kinds of supportive activities in the field of value chain such as SW HRD Council, SW demand and supply plan establishment and the integration of SW engineering capabilities that contribute the reduction of the skill and job matching through SW HR demand and supply collaboration.

공급체인관리(Supply Chain Management)는 단순히 물질의 흐름관리뿐만 아니라 제품의 생산, 공급, 유통 등 다양하고 복잡한 활동들의 물질 및 정보 흐름의 통합이라고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 각 구성원간의 긴밀한 협력과 공동작업을 위해서는 원활한 정보 수집 및 응답이 요구된다. 하지만 기존 시스템은 비이동성 에이전트 개념으로 네트워크의 오버헤드나 혹은 접속 단절 상황에서 작업 수행이 불가능하여 구성원간의 정보 수집과 응답이 실제 업무 처리에 지연이 발생되므로 생산에서 판매까지의 리드타임이 길어지게 되고 채찍효과(Bullwhip Effect)가 더욱 크게 나타난다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 구성원간 협력과 공동작업을 위해 효율적으로 처리되어야 할 정보 수집 및 응답을 대상으로 하는 효율적 다중 응답을 위한 이동 에이전트 시스템을 설계한다. 제안시스템은 기존 시스템의 문제 해결을 위해 이동 에이전트와 객체 복제 메커니즘을 제시하며, 또한 각 구성원 시스템의 투명성을 위해 네이밍 서비스의 구성 방법과 등록된 구성원 시스템 객체의 객체 참조자 정보에 따라 복제된 이동 에이전트가 각 구성원 시스템으로 이주하는 이주 방식과 이주 후, 개별적인 작업 수행 결과를 해당 각 구성원 시스템에 제공하는 다중 응답 시나리오를 제시한다.

Supplying stable electric power is one of the important objectives of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) because it is strongly related with improving living standards and income levels in the region. However, rural areas in many developing countries are not properly connected to national power grids, and even areas connected to national power grids are frequently blacked out due to limitations in power capacity. These lack of electric power is a major obstacle to improving income levels and improving living standards in those areas. The Korea-Tanzania Innovative and Energy Center (iTEC), which was established by Seoul National University in cooperation with the Nelson-Mandela Africa Institute of Science and Technology and Technology (NM-AIST) try to build a small solar power plant using a smart-off grid in rural area of Tanzania, where there is no electricity. 10 kW and 7 kW solar power plants are built in Mkalama Village in Kilimanajaro Region and Ngurdoto Village in Arusha Region to provide power to about 50 households each. In addition, smart monitoring systems were installed to collect data about status of power system and power consumption of each house. iTEC seeks for sustainable improvement the income level and quality of life of rural residents in developing countries through the construction of small solar power plants using smart-off grid, and the implementation of various connected projects.

This paper reviews achievements of logistics warehousing industry in terms of sustainable management. The introduction part of the study discusses the theoretical definitions of sustainable management and sustainable development; later part is a case study on sustainable management of in the industry. Also, this paper includes an empirical study on the influence of sustainable management activities on the customer satisfaction and corporate trust through questionnaire survey.

This paper covers a plan to build supply chain cooperation systems among stream of the textile industry to strengthen international competitiveness. To obtain the study objective, it has been reviewed the theoretical rationale relating to organizational cooperation model and discussion and performed the case study that analyzed stream group and participated firms to the textile stream policy project. The analyzed stream cooperative types that measured configuration of cooperative degree and productive type are new market creation, technology improvement, relation maintenance, and relation cease. Two types - new market creation and technology improvement - have significant effect of the textile stream cooperation. Key successful factors of these two effective types are the external intervention of specialized consulting organization and build internal coordination and integrated mechanism to the cooperative stream group and participated firms.

In this paper, we propose the coordination scheme in a single-manufacturer-multiple-retailer supply chain system. Traditionally, the bargaining power of the single manufacturer is superior to those of retailers. The business environment supported by the e-business scheme may give rise to new business behavior. The multitude of retailer requests the manufacturer to relax the his unilateral lot-sizing policy while they are willing to compensate more than the manufacturer's expected loss caused by abandon his superior bargaining power. The side payment aggregated by the multiple retailers is transferred to the manufacturer according to the degree of the manufacturer's relaxation from the current unilateral lot-sizing policy.
