  • Government publications at public institutions are data that are intended to convey the purpose of an institution or the performance of its business to the public or inside the institution. The management of government publications has become increasingly important under the framework of laws and systems, but matters concerning the nature and value of government publications have not been carried out at records management sites. The Act focused on the archives of the six metropolitan government, and presented issues and improvement measures for efficient management of government publications. To that end, the government should maintain a consistent payment system for publications. As payment method and payment book data in government publications are presented differently by law, a system for integrated management should be established to provide brief information and original information. Second, it is necessary to establish an administrative system that meets the storage environment. The publication registration and payment book system presented by the government's publication guidelines is the central system of the National Archives and Records Service, so it is not an efficient system in the agency archives. Third, support should be provided to recognize the value of government publications and to preserve and manage them in the long term. To dispose of the government publications, a realistic classification method, integrated and controlled program should be presented, and criteria for users using the service should be provided. Fourth, it is the establishment of an integrated management system for government publications. The National Archives Service, the National Central Library, and the National Assembly Library should simultaneously build an abstract of information and original information so that they can be managed systematically and efficiently.

The right of portrait protects external looks of the human beings based on the constitutional human dignity, privacy of a secret and freedom. But sometimes these rights are limited in case of the right to know of the public shall have precedence to the interests of the privacy of individuals. It is hard to regard Performing Arts as a private life in two respects: first, Performing Arts is just one of societal expressions, two, performers are conducting a given role as a performing character. Producing database with the photos and videos under the reasonable agreement from the performers and making it available as a service can be disclaimers of the right of portrait. It is hard to be acknowledged, however, as disclaimers in case of being undermined sameness in the course of using the portraits of the performers.

Even though various passive elements such as load reduction of air conditioning and energy efficiency exist, there are no assessment tool within G-SEED. The fact that there are only standards for temporary methods such as utilization of construction material and installation of equipment highlights the challenges in quantitative evaluation.

Specifically, this study examined major issues, problems, and solutions related to immigrant women's experiences of seeking health related information while they struggle to settle down. It also analyzed the barriers to accomplish their purposes. For this, the study collected interview data from 12 informants and analyzed the transcript by utilizing qualitative data analysis software, Nvivo10. It has been revealed that migrant marriage women have experienced difficulties to obtain quality health information although they tend to have more health related problems than their time in homelands because of marriage, pregnancy, and patriarchal family culture in a new environment. It is expected that the results of the study will have the government and public agencies alerted the importance of public health information to migrant marriage women, and provide them with implications to build proper strategies.

  • There were not many ways to share research data in the past, but modern information technology has allowed us to share these data. As data sharing has its side effects, researchers' attitude and practice to sharing data vary by individual discipline. This study found that foreign learned societies, NGOs, universities and research funders support data sharing in a utilitarian perspective, while major publishers demand it so that other researchers can verify the data in peer review. It is important that open data policy should be settled down in near future for evoking further studies and encouraging progress in science. In order to establish data sharing successfully in Korea, efforts could be made by researchers, universities, academic libraries, and governments as well as the stakeholder. This study also proposed specific ways to perform it.

  • The National Archives of Korea(NAK) has arranged and operated 'Guidelines on Operating Copyright for Archives' and 'Regulations on Operating Reference Room' to protect the copyright for archives. However, the Guidelines and the Regulations only provide application to the Copyright Act and principles on internal managing copyright without presenting copyright issues for each type of archives. Therefore, additional detailed guidelines have to be arranged for the users to access to copyright issues easily by presenting them the standards of judgement or principles on copyright issues for each type of the archives to facilitate the use of archives collected already. We also need to define the details on Copyright Act and Moral Rights Act to collect archives. This study is an prior analysis for that purpose. Lively discussion and way of operation in an aspect of the copyright in relation to private records should be sought in the future.

  • In this study, web link analysis of the Korean National Archives has been Performed using LexiURL to show the dynamic web flow of the National Archives and to identify which closely related institutions the archives should seek to cooperate with for developing an institutional strategic plan. Inlink and co-inlink analysis were performed and, to identify related institutions of the Korean National Archives. a comparison was made with other countries such as Australia, England and the United Stats. Through web link analysis, several features can be detected and future directions are suggested. Most inlinks and co-inlink of the Korean National Archives were from public institutions, indicating that relationships with educational or research institutions are weak. Moreover, Korean National Archives involve fewer web links related to international activities than other countries. Proceeding from these results, educational function, research function and international activities should be fortified. Korean National Archives need to provide more materials for supporting educational and research activities and more cultural interchange among related institutions. Further research with different heritage institutions such as libraries or museums is needed.
