Volume in data storage is growing more than ever before. This phenomenon is caused by the participation of governments and firms as well as general users. As for big data, governments and public agencies are likely to play important roles in applications since they can access and operate personal data for public purposes. In this study, the author examined the status and countermeasure of big data from different countries and drew some common grounds. The suggestions are as follows. First of all, securing manpower and technology have to take precedence. In addition, share and development between the government and the private sector are required. And organizations should come up with long-term strategies along with the development of data loading and analysis. In conclusion, the author propose the recognition of the importance of data management, privacy protection and the expansion of field application possibilities for political usage of big data.

Since the Public Records Management Act was enacted in 2007, the administrative information system has already been included in the electronic records production system, and dataset has been subject to record management as a type of electronic records. With the recent revision of the enforcement decree, dataset records management has been enacted. This study analyzes business units related to administrative information systems of public institutions and examines the current status of retention periods estimation. For this purpose, we collected 36 records classification systems from 49 public institutions among the direct management agencies of the National Archives and disaster management agencies. And we discriminated 824 business units related to administrative information system and divided into large and small groups according to types. We also compared the retention period estimation of records. The problems and improvement plans of this study are expected to be used as basic data in preparing the standard of administrative dataset management in the future.

본 연구의 목적은 도서관 이용자들의 일상생활에서 공간들이 어떠한 관계성을 가지고 이용되는지를 분석하는 것이다. 관계성을 파악하기 위한 데이터로 미국 Puget Sound Region Transportation Department에서 수집한 Household Travel Survey 데이터를 이용하였다. 데이터 분석을 위한 도구로 소셜 네트워크 분석도구 중의 하나인 NodeXL을 사용하였다. 분석결과 선행연구에서와 유사하게 슈퍼마켓, 레스토랑, 쇼핑몰 등이 도서관 이용과 공간적으로 연관성이 있음이 나타났다. 또한 전체 이용자의 분석결과와 비교하여 도서관 이용자만이 가지고 사회적 공간이용의 특성을 발견되었고 도서관 정책개발에 이러한 특성이 반영될 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.

R has become a popular analytics platform as it provides powerful analytic functions as well as visualizations. However, it has a weakness in which scalability is limited. As an alternative, the RHadoop package facilitates distributed processing of R programs under the Hadoop platform. This paper investigates usefulness of the RHadoop package when analyzing healthcare big data that is widely open in the internet space. To do this, this paper has compared analytic performances of R and RHadoop using the medical treatment records of year 2015 provided by National Health Insurance Service. The result shows that RHadoop effectively enhances processing performance of healthcare big data compared with R.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate Korean Records Management Metadata Standard with special emphasis on the contextual elements in their implementation aspect, and to provide the direction of the Standard revision for improving the metadata quality of RMS developed by National Archives of Korea. The present paper begins with comparing RMS data and the Standard elements, and examines the problems of current accumulation practices of contextual metadata elements in the RMS. Finally it makes some suggestions concerning the Standard revision as well as RMS function upgrade.

현재의 우리나라 전산시스템은 소관부처별로 열악한 전산실에 시스템이 구축되었고 전산화가 추진되어 왔으나 48개 부처의 통합전산센터 구축 이후 정보 공동활용의 효율성 향상 및 안정적 운영을 하게 되었다. 하지만 통합전산센터 구축 이후 시스템관리에 대한 효율성을 검토하지 못한채 운영하고 있는 바, 본 논문에서는 계층적분석을 통하여 공공기관 데이터센터의 시스템관리 지표에 대한 중요도를 산출하고자 한다.

This study investigates the influences of the service qualify of public libraries, including printed publications, internet and electronic materials, culture programs and. service, library environment and facilities, and library staff, on the general satisfaction of the users, complaining intentions, and loyalty including reuse intentions. It develops a library user satisfaction model and testifies it through path analysis using questionnaires from 443 public library users in Daegu Metropolitan City area. This study shows that service qualities of printed publications, culture programs and service, library environment and facilities, and library staff Influence significantly on the general satisfaction of the users, and that service quality of library environment and facilities is the major variable which influences satisfaction and loyalty of the public library.

In this paper, we have proposed the processing and analyzing the linked open data (LOD), a kind of big-data, using resources of cloud computing. The LOD is web-based open data in order to share and recycle of public data. Specially, we defined the InfograaS (Info-graphic as a service), new business area of SaaS (software as a service), to support visualization technique for BA (business analytics) and Info-graphic. The goal of this study is easily to use it by the non-specialist and beginner without experts of visualization and business analysis. Data visualization is the process to represent visually and understand the data analysis easily. The purpose of data visualization is to deliver information clearly and effectively by chart and figure. The big data of public data are shared and presented in the charts and the graphics understood easily by various processing results using Hadoop, R, machine learning, and data mining of open source and resources of cloud computing.

This study considered technology commercialization as a sort of external R&D of the licensee firm. Then, this study analyzed industrial characteristics of technology commercialization and interactions between internal R&D and technology commercialization from the licensee's viewpoint. Data from NTIS (National science and Technology Information Service) and KED (Korea Enterprise Database) were matched. 7,645 technology commercializations from 1,980 firms were extracted. Afterward, OLS and quantile regression were applied to the extracted data. The impact of technology commercialization on firm growth was concentrated to few high-tech and medium high-tech firms. Technology commercialization was effective in the growth in a year while internal R&D was effective in the growth in two years. The firm size was insiginificant variable. In analysis of 4 selected industries (automobile, electronics, semiconductor, chemistry), the impact was skewed among industries. Though the importance of technology commercialization is widely acknowledged, quantitative analyses like this study are uncommon. Therefore, this study can be useful for the tailored industry solutions for technology commercialization.

The purpose of this study is to find out user's information needs in public libraries based on websites. The data were collected from the user's plaza in public libraries websites. To identify the user's information needs, the works in the public libraries including acquisition, information services, circulation, digital library, reading room, reference services were analyzed.
