Optimal Camera Placement Leaning of Multiple Cameras for 3D Environment Reconstruction (3차원 환경 복원을 위한 다수 카메라 최적 배치 학습 기법)

  • Recently, research and development on immersive virtual reality(VR) technology to provide a realistic experience is being widely conducted. To provide realistic experience in immersive virtual reality for VR participants, virtual environments should consist of high-realistic environments using 3D reconstruction. In this paper, to acquire 3D information in real space using multiple cameras in the reconstruction process, we propose a novel method of optimal camera placement for accurate reconstruction to minimize distortion of 3D information. Through our approach in this paper, real 3D information can obtain with minimized errors during environment reconstruction, and it is possible to provide a more immersive experience with the created virtual environment.

New calibration apparatus for a precise barometer (초정밀 기압계 교정을 위한 새로운 압력계 교정장치 개발)

  • Nowadays there are increasing demands for more accurate measurement of atmospheric pressure according to the development of environmental industries. One of the most important pressure gauges for satisfying these demands is a quartz resonance barometer. In order to calibrate such an accurate barometer, laser/ultrasonic mercury manometers have been used. However, complexity and cost of mercury manometers made it out of use gradually. As a substitute, a gas-operated pressure balance is used for calibration of precise barometers. In such a case, commercially available pressure balances cannot be entirely suitable because consequent exposure of the piston, cylinder and masses to the atmosphere causes the problem of contamination. In this paper a device for changing the masses in situ without breaking the vacuum is described. This device made it possible to add or remove weights in the absolute mode, thereby greatly reducing the time between observations. At the same time, we investigated the characteristics of a commercial precise barometer using this new apparatus.

  • GNSS based transport infrastructure cluster is to broadcast satellite navigation correction information and integrity information capable of precise positioning for land transport users. This makes it possible to do lane-level positioning reliably. However, in order to provide the lane-level positioning and correction information service nationwide, new station sites selection and to build GNSS stations have a heavy cost and a burden for a considerable period of time. In this paper, we propose the cluster design criteria and national-wide network-based precise positioning for land transportation (NETPPI-LT) cluster design for a cluster-based precise positioning. Furthermore, it is analyzed the precise positioning pre-performance of this cluster design based on the spatial error and verified its suitability as the precise positioning pre-performance of the cluster design.

An Advanced Scheme for Searching Spatial Objects and Identifying Hidden Objects (숨은 객체 식별을 위한 향상된 공간객체 탐색기법)

  • In this paper, a new method of spatial query, which is called Surround Search (SuSe) is suggested. This method makes it possible to search for the closest spatial object of interest to the user from a query point. SuSe is differentiated from the existing spatial object query schemes, because it locates the closest spatial object of interest around the query point. While SuSe searches the surroundings, the spatial object is saved on an R-tree, and MINDIST, the distance between the query location and objects, is measured by considering an angle that the existing spatial object query methods have not previously considered. The angle between targeted-search objects is found from a query point that is hidden behind another object in order to distinguish hidden objects from them. The distinct feature of this proposed scheme is that it can search the faraway or hidden objects, in contrast to the existing method. SuSe is able to search for spatial objects more precisely, and users can be confident that this scheme will have superior performance to its predecessor.

Stability evaluation of room-and-pillar underground method by 3D numerical analysis model (3차원 수치해석모델을 이용한 주방식 지하공간의 안정성 평가)

  • In this study, the stability of the room-and-pillar underground method was investigated using numerical analysis method. In-situ geotechnical investigation was conducted, and a supporting pattern was selected based on the geotechnical investigation data. For the supporting pattern, Type-1, 2, 3 were selected for each ground condition. A 3D numerical analysis model was developed for effective simulation as the room-and-pillar underground method consist of a pillar and room. As a review of numerical analysis, it was confirmed that the crown settlement, convergence, shotcrete and rock bolt were all stable in all supporting patterns. As a result of the analysis by the construction stage, it was confirmed that excessive stress was generated in the room when the construction stage of forming pillar. So, precise construction is required during the actual construction stage of the pillar formation.

Study on the Integration of MMS and Airborn Survey Data for the Implementation of Precise Road Spatial Database (정밀도로공간정보 구축을 위한 지상 MMS 측정자료와 항공측량자료의 결합방법 연구)

  • Due to the introduction of various IT devices, including the recently smartphones and the widespread use of the car navigation system to the location-based information service space has been increased. Spatial information users have been requiring higher levels of quality. In this paper, we study how to build accurate three-dimensional space information by integrating MMS(Moblie Mapping System) survey and airborne survey data. Thus, to analyze the tendency of deviation between the MMS survey and airborne survey data observed in the experimental region, the deviation tendency of the data, it was confirmed that was not consistent. Deviation correction model to select how to change the georeferencing information directly contained in the GPS/INS processing results for the determination, classifies the standard is a method for acquiring the correction reference point coordinates using the calibration model, and analyzed their advantages and disadvantages. With the information of the reference point obtained by airborne photograph of a project, using the method of correcting the MMS survey data. Not only clear the deviation existing between the MMS survey data, it was possible to confirm that the deviation exists between the airborne survey data and MMS survey data was also almost erased.

  • Distribution pattern of seawater intrusion was analyzed from the spatial distribution map of chloride using the geostatistics and CIS analyses. The chloride distribution map made by kriging(ordinary kriging and co-kriging) after exploratory spatial data analysis. Kriging provides an advanced methodology which facilitates quantification of spatial features and enables spatial interpolation. TDS, Na$^{+}$, Br$^{[-10]}$ were selected as second parameters of co-kriging which is higher value of correlation coefficients between chloride and others groundwater properties. Chloride concentration is highest in yeminchon and coastal area. And result in co-kriging was accurate than ordinary kriging.

  • 우리나라에서는 1995년부터 국가지리정보체계(NGIS)구축 기본계획을 수립하여 건설교통부, 정보통신부, 과학기술부 및 행정자치부 등 범국가적으로 2000년까지 제 1단계 사업을 마쳤으며, 2001년부터 제 2단계 사업을 추진 중에 있다. 하지만 국가지형 및 시설물 등이 하루가 다르게 변화하는 정보화 사회에서 다양한 객체에 대한 위치 및 속성정보의 획득, 저장, 관리, 활용을 위한 신속한 수치지도 수정갱신이 요구된다. 또한 도로시설물을 비롯한 다양한 지형지물정보는 공간정보를 다루는 도시, 교통, 물류, 환경 및 군사 분야 등 다양한 분야에서 의사결정 및 계획에 필수적으로 요구되는 정보이고 이와 같은 정보는 신속하고 정확하게 취득되어야 하며, 경제적이며, 효율적으로 정보를 획득하는 신기술을 적용한 작업방법론이 필요하다. 현재 국내에서도 신기술인 "차량탑재 모바일매핑 시스템(Mobile Mapping System : GPS-Van) 개발이 완료되었고, 이를 활용한 각종 지형공간정보의 수정 갱신 작업이 이루어지고 있기 때문에 이를 활용한 수치지도 수정갱신의 가능성에 대한 검토와 방법론에 대한 정립이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내에서 개발된 신기술인 GPS-Van을 이용한 수치지도 수정갱신을 위한 정확도 분석 및 오차의 영향 분석을 통하여 보다 높은 정밀도의 도로기반 수치지도 수정 갱신의 가능성 및 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Mixing distance through spatial distribution analysis of in river (하천에서의 공간분포 분석을 통한 혼합거리 연구)

  • 하천 합류부에 있어 수체의 혼합양상 분석은 고해상도의 자료가 필요하다. 하지만 최근 공간적 분포를 해석함에 있어 3D 기법들을 많이 활용되고 있다. IDW, Natural Neighbor, Kriging기법등 다양한 기법들이 많이 적용되고 있고 그에 따라 각 보간법을 비교 분석하여 공간해석에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 관련 논문을 검토한 결과, 측정 결과에 따른 2차원 횡단면 분포의 내용이 지배적이었고, 3차원 매핑 및 3차원 분석을 통한 수리학적 정보 획득에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이였다. 특히 3차원 하천 수질 농도의 연구가 불충분했다. 그에 따라 저해상도 측정결과에서의 예측과 보간법에 대한 시각화를 통해 하천의 전체적인 수리·수질정보를 표기하였다. 각각의 보간법을 비교함으로써 하천매핑에 있어 Kriging 기법을 적용하여 시각화된 자료와 정량적 평가를 통해 하천매핑의 정밀성을 향상시켰다. 하천합류부를 공간 분석할 시에 하천의 측정데이터에 대한 신뢰도를 바탕으로 계측경로에 따라 보간한 결과에 대한 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였다. 분석된 3차원자료를 이용하여 하천의 혼합거리에 대한 분석을 실시하였고 그에 따른 수표면과 연직방향까지 고려된 혼합거리분석을 비교하였다. 3차원 데이터를 활용하는 방법으로 측정 및 모니터링 기술의 중요한 데이터로 활용되며, 이러한 데이터는 유해물질 저감 기술 및 평가 예측 기술의 기초 데이터로 활용되고 있다. 유해화학물질 추정, 호수의 고위험 조류군 계층분석 등 다양한 수생건강 진단기술을 활용할 수 있다.

Microzonation on Site-specific Seismic Response at a Model Area in Seoul Using GIS (GIS를 이용한 서울 시범 지역에서의 부지고유 지진 응답의 정밀구역화)

  • As computer technology has been rapidly advanced, geographic information system (GIS) is recently used in many disciplines. In this study, for a model area in Seoul, seismic hazard potential relating to site effects, which are influenced by the subsurface geotechnical conditions, was estimated using the GIS tool. The distribution of pre-existing borehole drilling data in Seoul metropolitan area was examined for the regional estimation of site-specific seismic responses at the model area. Spatial geo-layers across the entire model area were predicted by constructing a GIS-based geotechnical information system (GTIS). A microzonation of site period $(T_G)$ for estimating site-specific seismic responses at the model area was performed within the GTIS. The spatial microzoning map of $T_G$ indicated seismic vulnerability of two- to four-storied buildings in the model area. Furthermore, a site classification map for determining the design ground motion was established based on the $T_G$ within the GTIS. This informed that most of location in the model area was categorized into current site classes C and D. This seismic microzonation framework for the model area could be applicable particularly in the entire Seoul metropolitan area based on the pre-existing borehole data.
