  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between leisure function, self-esteem and social role loss among golf players in the middle age. Furthermore, it was meaningful to provide basic data on leisure activities and healthy retirement preparation through golf at the present time of the aging society. The subjects of study who adults were recruited from Seoul, Gyeonggi-do. For the data processing, it conducted frequency, reliability, confirmatory factor, correlation, and structure equaling modeling analyses. The results were as follows; First, leisure function of middle age golf participant had a positive influence on self-esteem(p<.05). Second, leisure function of middle age golf participant had a positive influence on social role loss(p<.05). Third, self-esteem of middle age golf participant had a positive influence on social role loss(p<.05). Forth, self-esteem mediated the relationship between middle age golf participant leisure function and social role loss.(p<.05).

  • Korea's golf fever is as good as the United States, Europe and Japan, which are called golf powers. The senior golf population over 55 years old has exceeded 2.5 million, and they are more interested in improving golf performance than participating in golf. So, this study aims to emphasize the importance of dynamic preparation exercise by identifying the effects of dynamic preparation exercise on golf physical strength and golf batting in order to suggest a way to help the elderly men's golf performance. The experimental group(n=13) and the control group(n=14) were divided into two groups and repeated measurements were conducted by two-way ANOVA with pre- and post-design. As a result of the analysis, the flexibility factor showed a positive effect on golf physical strength, and in golf batting, head speed, distance, and attack angle showed interaction effect, which led to the conclusion that dynamic preparation exercise helped the golf performance of the elderly male. Therefore, the continuous dynamic preparation exercise led to positive transition to head speed and attack angle due to the increase in the flexibility of the body, which led to the improvement of distance and the increase in performance level.

  • This study divided straight success, pade success and failure with 7male golfers who have experiences more than 3 years, analyzed kinematic factors of golf swing to suggest scientifically. The conclusions were follows. 1) The wrist angle has significant difference in straight success, pade success and failure when swing of every pattern. There is no significant difference in pade success and failure. 2) The body twist angle has no significant difference in straight success, pade success and failure when swing of every pattern. There is no significant difference in pade success and failure. 3) The shoulder joint rotation angle has no significant difference in success, pade success and failure when swing of every pattern. There is no significant difference in pade success and failure. 4) The left hip joint vertical angle has no significant difference in straight success, pade success and failure when swing of every pattern. There is no significant difference in pade success and failure. 5) The hip joint rotation angle has no significant difference in straight success, pade success and failure when swing of every pattern. There is no significant difference in pade success and failure. 6) The trunk angle has no significant difference in straight success, pade success and failure when swing of every pattern. There is no significant difference in pade success and failure. 7 )The left knee joint angle has no significant difference in straight success, pade success and failure when swing of every pattern. There is no significant difference in pade success and failure. This study divided golf swing motion of pattern change in straight success, pade success and failure and analyzed the kinematic factors by 3-dimension cinematography to improve performance. In the future, many researchers have to study kinematic analysis to improve performance in every events.
