Reliability Analysis of Door Control Unit of Korean Tilting Tran (곡선부 주행성능 향상을 가진 틸팅 열차의 DCU(Door Contol Unit)의 신뢰성 분석)

  • In this paper, as the step to assess and enhance the reliability of Korean Tilting Train eXpress (T.T.X), Door system is selected and reliability analysis is carried out. The door system is classified into subsystems and functional block diagrams and reliability block diagrams are drawn.Expessions for evaluating the reliability are derived and Mean Kilometer between Service Failure is calculated using the trial track test results. The calculation result show reliability growth of proposed system. This paper developed RAMS to make a door system of T.T.X. (Tilting Train eXpress) with maximum operation speed of 180 km/h.

  • 본 논문에서는 도로를 주행하는 차량영상으로부터 번호판의 인식에 대한 연구이다. 차량을 검출하기 위해 두 프레임의 차를 이용하여 도로상에서 차량을 분리하였고, 번호판 영역을 추출하기 위해 명암도 변화의 파형 곡선 결과에 임계값을 적용하여 번호판을 추출하였다. 번호판 영역 검출은 96.05%의 검출결과를 얻었으며, 차량의 번호판 문자인식은 신경망을 통하여 학습 시켰 그 성능은 잭나이프 기법을 통해 측정하였다. 학습데이터에 대해서는 99.85 비학습데이터에 대해서는 88.15%의 인식율을 보였다.

  • 곡선부가 많은 국내 기존선의 속도향상을 위한 틸팅차량의 개발은 기존선의 전철화에 따른 고속화를 위해 그 필요성이 부각되고 있다. 일반 고속차량과 다른 주행 메카니즘을 가지고 있는 틸팅차량의 주요 기술을 확보하기 위한 틸팅대차와 틸팅시스템의 개발과 연구는 한국철도의 기술력 향상에 큰 역할을 할 것이다. 180km/h급 한국형 틸팅차량의 틸팅 메카니즘 기구동역학 해석을 통하여 틸팅 대차를 형성하는 주요 파라메터들의 변화에 따른 틸팅 메카니즘의 특성과 영향력을 검토한다. 이를 통하여 최적의 틸팅운동을 수행할 수 있는 주요 파라메터의 값을 제시함으로서 틸팅차량이 요구하는 최적의 틸팅 메카니즘을 구현하고자 한다. 이 연구를 통해서 얻어지는 결과들은 팅팅 대차용 엑츄에이터의 성능 설계와 해석의 기반 자료로 사용되어진다.

  • This paper presents a technique for localization of a mobile robot using a single ultrasonic sensor. The mobile robot is designed for operating in a well-structured environment that can be represented by planes, edges, corners and cylinders in the view of structural features. In the case of ultrasonic sensors, these features have the range information in the form of the arc of a circle that is generally named as RCD (Region of Constant Depth). Localization is the continual provision of a knowledge of position which is deduced from it's a priori position estimation. The environment of a robot is modeled into a two dimensional grid map. we defines a physically-based sonar sensor model and employs an extended Kalman filter to estimate position of the robot. The performance and simplicity of the approach is demonstrated with the results produced by sets of experiments using a mobile robot.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 고속철도 차량 즉, 경부고속철도를 운행하는 KTX, KTX산천 그리고 현재 개발중인 HEMU400x을 대상으로 운행속도 및 운행패턴에 따른 열차 소비전력을 분석하였다. 이를 위해, 선로조건을 고려한 차량의 운전속도 조건과 운행시간,소비전력 등을 예측하기 위한 TPS(Train Performance Simulation)프로그램을 이용하였다. 열차운행 시뮬레이션을 수행하기 위해선 차량, 선로, 속도의 기본 데이터를 필요로 한다. 차량에 대한 데이터는 차량의 최고속도, 제동성능, 견인력 등의 기본 성능과 열차편성에 따른 중량, 길이, 동력차량형식, 열차주행저항등에 대한 제원을 요한다. 선로데이터는 운행시간 예측을 대상으로 하는 선로에 대한 거리별 구배 및 선형, 정거장 위치 및 정차시간에 대한 데이터이다. 속도조건은 구배 및 곡선에 대한 선로제한속도로, 선로데이터와 연계하여 각 선로위치별 차량의 제한속도로 이용된다. 본 논문에서는 경부고속철도 구간에서 운행하는 고속차량 3가지를 대상으로 증속에 따른 전력소모량을 비교하였다.

Development and performance evaluation of traction system for steep gradient and sharp curve track (급구배 및 급곡선 궤도 추진시스템 개발 및 성능 평가)

  • In this study, core technologies of a traction system on a mountain tram operating on the track of mountain road full of sharp curves and steep gradients were developed. In domestic mountain resort areas, sometimes the transportation service is not provided in winter because of ice and heavy snow on roads, so a mountain railway service independent of the climate and geographic conditions is needed. A traction system was designed taking into account of the power of a traction motor to climb the gradient of 120 ‰, which is common in domestic mountainous areas. and power transmission system was designed to consider the installation space for the traction system. In addition, a reduction gear and a propeller shaft were developed. An elastic pinion was developed and applied to the rack & pinion bogie system for steep gradient so that noise and vibration generated by contact between the steel gears could be reduced. Impact comparison tests showed that the vibration level of the elastic pinion is one-third lower than that of previous steel pinion. Independent rotating wheels and axles were developed for the bogie system to operate on the sharp curve of a 10 meter radius. In addition, the band braking system was developed to enhance the braking force during running on the steep gradient. A test for the braking force showed it exerts the required braking force. The performance of the developed core components were verified by the tests and finally they were applied to the bogie system running on the track of steep gradient and sharp curve.

Analysis of Dynamic Characteristics for Concept Design of Independent-Wheel Type Ultra-High-Speed Train (독립차륜형 초고속 열차 개념 설계안의 동특성 해석)

  • In this paper, a concept design of a rail type ultra-high-speed train is proposed and its dynamic characteristics are analyzed. Instead of the existing solid axle, a new type bogie system and independently rotating wheels are applied in the proposed train. In order to analyze the dynamic characteristics, a multibody dynamic model of a vehicle is developed and the basic validity is verified by eigenvalue analysis. Also, it is shown that the critical speed is improved in comparison to that of existing high-speed train model HEMU-430X. Finally, through 7000R curved track driving analysis at a speed of 550 km/h, the lateral force of the wheels and the derailment quotient are estimated and the applicability of the new concept railway vehicle is confirmed.

Searching Methods of Corresponding Points Robust to Rotational Error for LRF-based Scan-matching (LRF 기반의 스캔매칭을 위한 회전오차에 강인한 대응점 탐색 기법)

  • This paper presents a searching method of corresponding points robust to rotational error for scan-matching used for SLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) in mobile robot. A differential driving mechanism is one of the most popular type for mobile robot. For driving curved path, this type controls the velocities of each two wheels independently. This case increases a wheel slip of the mobile robot more than the case of straight path driving. And this is the reason of a drifting problem. To handle this problem and improves the performance of scan-matching, this paper proposes a searching method of corresponding points using extraction of a closest point based on rotational radius of the mobile robot. To verify the proposed method, the experiment was conducted using LRF(Laser Range Finder). Then the proposed method is compared with an existing method, which is an existing method based on euclidian closest point. The result of our study reflects that the proposed method can improve the performance of searching corresponding points.

  • KORAIL carries out an improvement project of railway signaling system for the conventional line from the existing method which permits a train to move within limited speed the ground signal of ATS(Automatic Train Stop) system. The proposed system makes possible that a train can be driven using a speed profile created by onboard signaling system(ATP) with the movement authority from ground balise. A driving test over 100,000km is being executed by developing a tilting train for the speed elevation on the conventional line. And, the introduction of the tilting train by ATP system to the Jung-ang line is expected. However, a speed elevation on a curved line section has a restriction. Therefore, research on safety braking model and train separation control technology for the localization of ATP system is required preferentially. In this paper, we presented a safety braking model of ATP system and a train separation control method that use ground balise as variable information provider, and executed a performance simulation.

A Study on Analysis Technique for Solenoid Valve Applicable to Military Vehicle Transmission (군용차량 변속기에 적용할 수 있는 솔레노이드밸브 해석기술에 관한 연구)

  • Electronic of military vehicle that had relied on pure machinery system is ongoing. A large part of electronic of small-sized military vehicle has been already commercialized, which will expand to large-sized military vehicle field. Design of solenoid valve for automatic transmission is significantly important for stable driving performance of military vehicle. This research aims to develop simulation method which is capable of predicting performance of solenoid valve quantitatively according to its variation of ATF temperature. The research has been conducted in line with Maxwell, a magnetic field analysis program, and AMESim, a hydraulic analysis program. After simulation, it turned out to have been very similar to the test result in temperature range which excludes high temperature (over $120^{\circ}C$) and extremely low temperature (below $-20^{\circ}C$).
