A Study on Properties of Ultra High Strength Concrete of above 100MPa (100MPa급 이상의 초고강도 콘크리트의 자기수축 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The autogenous shrinkage of HPC is important in that it can lead the early cracks in concrete structures. The purpose of the present study is to explore the autogenous shrinkage of HPC with cellulose fiber and expansive additive and to derive a realistic equation to estimate the autogenous shrinkage model of that. For this purpose, comprehensive experimental program has been set up to observe the autogenous shrinkage for various test series. Major test variables were the quantity of expansive additive and cellulose fiber. Water-cement ratio is fixed with 13%. The autogenous shrinkage of HPC is found to decrease with increasing expansive additive and cellulose fiber. A prediction equation to estimate the autogenous shrinkage of HPC was derived and proposed in this study. The proposed equation shows reasonably good correlation with test data on autogenous shrinkage of HPC.

Evaluation on Applicability of Copper and Steelmaking Slags for Use of Heavy Weight Aggregates in Marine Concrete Structure (동슬래그 및 제강슬래그의 해양 콘크리트용 중량 골재 사용성 평가)

  • Heavy weight concrete can be used in marine concrete structure to improve resistance against high wave energy. However, heavy weight aggregate, which is an indispensable material for heavy weight concrete, is difficult to be supplied in large quantities because its use is limited due to its high cost. In this work, the applicability of heavy weight by-products, copper and 3 month aged steelmaking slags, were evaluated as sources of heavy weight aggregate for marine concrete structures. Experimental results showed that copper slag was found to be a stable material for marine concrete structure. However, 3 month aged steelmaking slag showed significant expansion by $80^{\circ}$ water immersion test and ASTM C 1260 test. In addition, depth of chloride ion penetration in concrete was higher at which steelmaking slags were located. It was associated with porosity of steelmaking slag, and for this reason, steelmaking slag was not found to be suitable for marine concrete structure.

Mechanism on Suppression of Alkali Silica Reaction by Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag in NaCl Solution (NaCl 수용액 중에서 고로슬래그미분말의 알칼리실리카반응에 대한 팽창억제 메카니즘)

  • This study deals with the suppressing characteristics of alkali-silica reaction by ground granulated blast-furnace slag(GGBS) in NaCl solution. NaCl contents used in the experiment ranges over 0%, 2.8% and 20%. Reactive aggregate used is Japanese andesite. Also, three GGBSs of about 4.000. 6, 000 and $8, 000cm^2/g$ were used in the experiment. The replacement proportions of portland cement by GGBSs were 40%. 60%, 70% and 80%. respectively. The specimens with GGBS were severely contracted according to the increasing replacement ratio in NaCl solution. The contraction rate increases according to the increasing in NaCl content. Also. it does with increasing the blaine fineness of GGRS. It is concluded that the suppression of alkali-silica reaction by GGBS in NaCl solution is complished by contraction of GGBS due to chloride ion induced chemical shrinkage.

Experimental Study of the Internal/external Pressure Variation of TTX Travelling through a Tunnel (한국형 틸팅차량의 터널 주행시 실내/외 압력변화에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • When a train enters into a tunnel, a compression wave is generated by a front nose and a expansion wave is generated by a rear tail respectively. The interaction between pressure waves and the train makes the internal and external pressure of the train change dramatically. In this paper, we had measured the internal and external pressure variations of TTX and analyzed the pressure variations as the tunnel length. Also, the rate of internal pressure variations were investigated with the current airtight condition of TTX. In short tunnels, the internal and external pressure variation were not large because the superposition of pressure waves was not happened. In long tunnels, however, the rapid and large pressure variations were shown because of the superpositions between the same sort of pressure waves, such as expansion wave and expansion wave or compression wave and compression wave. In specific length tunnels, the pressure variation and the pressure variation rates were largely lessened because the compression wave and expansion wave were superposed.

폴리카보네이트 특성 향상을 위한 Al-Si-N 박막의 제작 및 크랙 방지

  • 자동차 산업분야에서 차량 경량화의 한 수단으로, 자동차용 유리를 무게가 가볍고 고강도 투명 고분자 소재인 폴리카보네이트로 대체하고자 하는 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 하지만, 폴리카보네이트의 낮은 내 마모 특성과 자외선에 의한 열화 및 변색 현상은 해결해야 할 문제점으로 지적되고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 폴리카보네이트의 내마모 특성을 향상시키기 위해 HIPIMS+ (High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering+) 방법을 이용하여 투과율이 확보되고, 고경도 특성을 갖는 Al-Si-N 박막을 증착하였다. 고속증착을 하기 위해 Target에 인가되는 Power를 올리게 되었는데, 열팽창 계수가 큰 고분자 물질인 폴리카보네이트 시료의 온도가 상승하여 증착된 박막과의 열팽창 계수 차이에 의해 박막에 Crack이 형성되는 문제가 발생하였다. 증착되는 Al-Si-N 박막의 공정 압력에 따른 Stress 제어 방법 및 폴리카보네이트 시료의 온도 상승을 막기 위한 알루미늄 구조체를 이용함으로써 박막의 Crack 형성을 억제하고자 하였다. 박막의 Stress를 확인하기 위하여 AFM (Atomic Force Microscope)과 OM (Optical Microscope)을 이용하여 분석하였고, 박막의 경도는 Knoop ${\mu}$-hardness tester를 사용하여 측정하였다. Al-Si-N 박막 경도는 Si at.%/(Al at.% + Si at.%) 비율이 16%에서 33 GPa의 경도를 갖는 것을 확인하였다. UV-Vis Spectrometer를 이용하여 투과율을 측정한 결과, 400-700 nm 파장의 가시광 영역 평균 투과율은 80%로 측정되었다.

  • 연성 CIGS 태양전지를 제작하기 위해서는 휘어지는 연성 기판재의 적용이 반드시 필요하다. 상용되는 연성 기판재로는 플라스틱, 폴리이미드, 금속재가 있다. 그러나 플라스틱과 폴리이미드는 고효율의 CIGS 흡수층을 제조하기 위한 $500{\sim}600^{\circ}C$의 공정에 접합하지 못하다. 금속 기판재의 경우는 몰리브데늄, 알루미늄, 티타늄, 크롬강, 스테인레스강, 합금재 등이 있다. 이러한 금속 기판재 중에서 Fe-Ni 합금재는 Ni 함량의 변화에 따라 기계적, 자기적, 열팽창 특성이 다르게 나타나는 것으로 알려져 있다. 선행 연구에서 CIGS 태양전지의 기판재로 열팽창 계수가 박막층과 유사한 SUS400번 계열과 Fe-52Ni이 적합하다는 것을 확인 하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 유한요소해석(Finite element analysis) 프로그램인 Algor를 이용하여 CIGS solar cell을 설계하고 Fe-52Ni 기판재와 절연층인 SiO2, 흡수층인 CIGS의 두께에 따른 Cell의 잔류응력을 해석하였다.

Diffuse Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis of Knee Presenting as a Popliteal Cyst - One case report - (슬와 낭종을 형성한 슬관절의 미만성 색소 융모 결절성 활액막염 - 1례 보고 -)

  • Pigmented villonodular synovitis most commonly occurs in the knee joint and rarely extends into the popliteal space, which not only has mimicked Baker's cyst but also has been misdiagnosed as malignant tumor. We report a case of a diffuse pigmented villonodular synovitis of knee joint which is extended into the popliteal space as like a popliteal cyst. We treated this case by arthroscopic total synovectomy and excision of cyst. There was no recurrence during more than one year after operation.

Compressive Strength and Tensile Properties of High Volume Slag Cement Composite Incorporating Phase Change Material (상변화 물질을 함유한 하이볼륨 슬래그 시멘트 복합재료의 압축강도와 인장특성)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the compressive and tensile properties of high volume slag cement-based fiber-reinforced composite incorporating phase change material. Four mixtures were determined according to calcium hydroxide and expansive admixture, and the compressive strength and tension tests were performed. Test results showed that four mixtures showed a compressive strength over 51MPa and a tensile ductility over 3.2%. It was observed that calcium hydroxide and expansive admixture influenced the compressive and tensile performance, and the strength, ductility, and cracking patterns of composite could be improved by including proper amount of calcium hydroxide and expansive admixture.

Evaluation of Spalling Property and Water Vapor Pressure of Concrete with Heating Rate (가열 속도에 따른 콘크리트의 폭렬 특성 및 내부 수증기압력 평가)

  • Spalling of concrete occurs due to vapor pressure ignited explosion, temperature difference across a section, and combination of these factors. Factors affecting spalling can be classified into internal and external factors such as material property and environmental condition, respectively, have to be considered to precisely understand spalling behavior. An external environmental factor such as differences in heating rate cause internal humidity cohesion and different vapor pressure behavior. Therefore, spalling property, vapor pressure and thermal strain property were measured from concrete with compressive strengths of 30 MPa, 50 MPa, 70 MPa, 90 MPa, and 110 MPa, applied with ISO-834 standard heating curve of $1^{\circ}C/min$ heating rate. The experimental results showed that spalling occurred when rapid heating condition was applied. Also, when concrete strength was higher, the more cross section loss from spalling occurred. Also, spalling property is influenced by first pressure cancellation effect of thermal expansion caused by vapor pressure and heating rates.

Fire Resistance Behaviour of High Strength Concrete Members with Vapor Pressure and Creep Models (증기압 및 크리프 모델을 사용한 고강도콘크리트 부재의 내화성능평가)

  • A numerical model considering the vapor pressure and the creep models, in the form of a analytical program, for tracing the behavior of high strength concrete (HSC) members exposed to fire is presented. The two stages, i.e., spalling procedure and fire resistance time, associated with the thermal, moisture flow, creep and structural analysis, for the prediction of fire resistance behavior are explained. The use of the analytical program for tracing the response of HSC member from the initial pre-loading stage to collapse, due to fire, is demonstrated. The validity of the numerical model used in this program is established by comparing the predictions from this program with results from others fire resistance tests. The analytical program can be used to predict the fire resistance of HSC members for any value of the significant parameters, such as load, sectional dimensions, member length, and concrete strength.
