Improvement of Stimulus Pattern and Design of Discrimination System for Coincident ratio Elevation with Traditional Meridians (고전경락과의 부합율 향상을 위한 경혈자극방식의 개선 및 식별시스템의 설계)

  • Conventional stimulus patterns have used DC for discrimination of acupoint and meridian which is the basic object of diagnosis and medical treatment in oriental medicine. Those discriminate conduction points by stimulation on body skin with DC. But, it is insufficient to reliability in discrimination ratio, coincident ratio, body effect, reproductivity. Therefore, this paper has extracted the optimal parameter of frequency and waveform in order to improve conventional pattern, and proposed the SPAC(Single Power Alternative Current) stimulus pattern applying that. Also, We proposes algorithm which is able to discriminate with low pressure of the electrode by displaying in the level meter both the absolution and relation value of the skin current. It can decrease pain and body effect by electrode pressure and discriminate acupoint regardless of skin current in difficult discrimination spot. We have compared the performance of system applying the extracted optimal parameter and algorithm. We have compared discrimination, coincident ratio of both conduction point and traditional acupoints by acupoint stimulation pattern. In the results, we confirmed reliability of SPAC stimulus pattern.

A Study on the Search Interface of Archival Databases in Korea: With a Focus on Search Functions (고서목록 데이터베이스의 검색 인터페이스에 관한 연구 - 검색 기능을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the functions and characteristics of search interfaces of Korean Old and Rare Collection Information System(KORCIS) and Korean History Online. The checklist of OPAC functionalities proposed by Breeding was used to examine eleven functions of these systems. Both system provide the following functions: Search by keywords; Boolean operators in queries; Order results chronologically; Modify search without re-keying the initial terms ; Search within result sets ; and Ability to limit results to an individual library or education. They do not provide such functions as Browse by author, title, subject and View and recall the search history for the current session. Adoption of standard OPAC and next-generation catalog functionalities, in-depth understanding of user needs and information seeking behaviors, and the improvement of subject access to these systems are suggested in this study.

The Revolution of Keynes's General Theory: Refutation and Revisitation (케인스 『일반이론』의 혁명성 : 반박과 재검토)

  • Keynes proposed revolutionary claims in his General Theory that the capitalist economy have the following characteristics: unemployment is general, unemployment could not be automatically restored, business cycle and crisis are inherent in the capitalist economy. Hicks refuted Keynes that unemployment is a special case of depression, and Modigliani argued that it is only valid under a particular assumption of wage rigidity. Also, Pigou and Patinkin contended that unemployment can be automatically recovered in the flexible wages and prices system. These refutations have made the revolutionary reforms appeared in Keynes's General Theory to decline. However, their claims did not correctly interpret Keynes's theories, nor effectively refute them. They interpreted Keynes narrowly within the framework of the classical tradition and refuted Keynes using the claims of the classics. The revolutionary nature of Keynes's General Theory could be not undermined by their refutation, but rather may be more useful in analyzing today's economic reality.

Non-Contact Sensing Method using PT Symmetric Circuit with Cross-Coupled NDR Circuits (크로스-결합구조의 부성 미분 저항 회로를 이용한 페리티-시간 대칭 구조의 비접촉 센서 구동 회로에 대한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a model that considers the parity-time symmetric structure as a state detection circuit for sensor applications using a stretchable inductor. In particular, to obtain a more practical computer simulation result, the stretchable inductor model was applied to this study model by referring to previously reported experimental results. The resistance component and phase component were controlled through the negative differential resistance circuit used in this study. In addition, the imbalance of the circuit caused by a change in the characteristics of the stretchable inductor could be compensated for using a negative differential resistance circuit. In particular, an analysis of the frequency characteristics of the sensor driving circuit of the parity-time symmetric structure proposed in this study confirmed that the Q-factor could be increased up to 20 times compared to the conventional resonant circuit.

Do Innovation and Relative Advantage Affect the Actual Use of FinTech Services?: An Empirical Study using Classical Attitude Theory (핀테크 서비스의 혁신성과 상대적 장점은 실질이용에 영향을 미칠까?: 고전적 태도이론을 이용한 실증 연구)

  • The Fintech services provide innovation to financial services users using various mobile devices and computers in wired and wireless communication environments. In this study, we develope a theoretical research framework to explain the psychology of Fintech services users based on a cognitive, affective, and conative framework. Using this framework, this study analyzes the relationships between the cognitive characteristics (i.e., innovation, relative advantage, ease of use, and usefulness), emotional characteristic (i.e., attitude), and behavioral characteristic (i.e., actual use) toward Fintech services users. This study conducted an online survey of people who have experienced using Fintech services. And the data of the collected Fintech services users was analyzed using structural equation model software (i.e., SMART PLS 2.0 M3). The results of the empirical analysis show the relationships between innovation, relative advantage, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, and actual use of Fintech service users. The results of this study provide useful information to improve the practical use of Fintech services users in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment.

Implementation of An Water-Cooled High Power Amplifier for Particle Accelerator (입자 가속기용 수냉식 고전력 증폭기 구현)

  • This paper describes implementation of a 165 MHz, 5 kW RF high power amplifier (HPA) for particle accelerator applications. The HPA consists of a drive amplifier for main amplifiers driving, sixteen 600 W class-AB push-pull power amplifier pallets and Wilkinson power divider/combiner using lumped LC components, which are divided/combined power amplifier pallet outputs. To detected the amplifier circuit of normal and reflected output power conditions, we used a bidirectional coupler. To radiate heat of main power amplifier, we were used an water-cooled copper plates to go through a water for radiation of heat. The HPA of center frequency 165 MHz has archived an efficiency of 62.5 % at 5 kW of power level experimentally.

The differences in character design in China, Japan, and Korea : A can study of comic "The Monkey King" (만화<손오공>에 나타난 한·중·일 캐릭터디자인 특징)

  • The character design is part of a culture. That is, it is not just an object but it reflects the cultural tendency and context where it is visualized. It's potential as a cultural medium of communication become pervasive in the field. One of good sources of characters is the classics which represent the nation's culture and history. The topic of this presentation is to show how a character in the Buddhist story, the Monkey King, designed differently in different context. For the purpose, the animation on the Monkey King in China, Japan and Korea are reviewed and analyzed. The result shows that the same animation character has been designed in different way in different context and it reflects the cultural tendency of the country. For example, Koreans tend to emphasize the global feature of the character. In case of Chinese, however, the character designer emphasizes traditional value. Finally, the designer in Japan tries to put their cultural element in detailed part of the character that makes it appeal to the public.

  • In order to meet increasing power demands, electrical capacity of equipment for power transfers should become larger accordingly. The equipment used for producing and delivering high-voltage power is also required to operate with a high degree of reliability. The stable operation of power equipment is a necessity, not an option. The current through the power cable, the only device to deliver high power, generates a Joule heat, which causes a deteriorating process on the cable system. The XLPE cable is manufactured in such a manner that it can operate for 30 years at $90^{\circ}$, but there is no guarantee that each cable will reach its projected lifetime of 30 years. In this paper, we have measured the temperatures of nine power cables in operation, based on the theory of cable longevity. In order to study the relationship between temperature and longevity, we have devised a new set of equipment and installed it at Korea Western Power Co., Ltd. located in Taean.

  • In this paper, the improved power durability test system and method for an reliability analysis of SAW device is proposed and the failure mechanism through failure analysis is analyzed. As a result of the failure analysis using microscope, SEM and EDX, the failure mechanism of the SAW device is electromigration due to joule heating under high current density and high temperature condition. The electromigration makes voids and hillocks in the IDT electrode and the voids and hillocks can lead to short circuit and open circuit faults, respectively, increasing the insertion loss of an SAW filter. The accelerated life testing of the SAW filter for 450MHz CDMA application using the proposed power durability test system and method is carried out. $B_{10}$ lifetime of the SAW filter using Eyring model and Weibull distribution is estimated as about 98,500 hours.

A Study of LCD Panel Cleaning Effect of Plasma Generation Power Source (플라즈마 발생용 전원장치의 LCD 패널 세정효과에 관한 연구)

  • UV lamp systems have been used for cleaning of display panels of TFT LCD or Plasma Display Panel (PDP). However, the needs for high efficient cleaning and low cost made high voltage plasma cleaning techniques to be developed and to be improved. Dielectric-Barrier Discharges (DBDs), also referred to as barrier discharges or silent discharges have been exclusively related to ozone generation for a long time. In this paper, a 6kW high voltage plasma power supply system was developed for LCD cleaning. The 3-phase input voltage is rectified and then inverter system is used to make a high frequency pulse train, which is rectified after passing through a high-power transformer. Finally, hi-directional high voltage pulse switching circuits are used to generate the high voltage plasma. Some experimental results showed the usefulness of atmospheric plasma for LCD panel cleaning.
