Development of Versatile Furniture Design Considering the Behavior Characteristics of the Pet Cats (반려묘(猫)의 행동 특성을 고려한 가변형 가구디자인 개발 연구)

  • As the change in social awareness regarding cats is consistent with the lifestyle of modern people who seek an independent life, the number of cats owned as a pet and its market will continue to increase. The compainion animals are not just pets to pet owners, but people communicate with their pets and the pets have begun to be recognized as a member of their family. Although the pet industry has been steadily growing and the number of cats owned by households is rapidly increasing, there is a lack of study on products based on understanding the characteristics and behavior of cats. The purpose of this study is to propose a versatile furniture design considering the behavior characteristics of cats. The versatile furniture that is easy to move and rearrange according to necessity and the environment of residential space always pays to make better use of the space. We would like to propose versatile furniture that can satisfy the aesthetic pleasures of cats and can be used as furniture at the same time depending on purpose and situation. This study aims to develop the design of furniture that can make a better environment for pets and pet owners, an it is expected to be a basic study of furniture design for them.

  • 최근 농촌진흥청에서 발표한 축종별 영농 승계 실태와 의식 조사에 따르면 축산 농가 경영주 10가구 중 4가구는 자녀가 일을 물려받고, 그 중 절반 이상은 승계 예정인 자녀가 현재 경영에 참여하고 있는 것으로 나타났으나 육계의 경우 승계자 보유율은 37.3%(5만수 이상 47.8%, 4만수 미만 농가 19.4%)로 조사되었다. 32.7%는 영농 승계 계획이 없다고 답해 타 축종에 비해 영농 승계율이 저조한 것으로 밝혀졌지만 꿈과 열정으로 육계업에 뛰어들어 자부심을 갖고 육계 2세로 살아가는 이들이 있다. 이번호에는 진용일 구구축산농원 대표(고양육계지부 총무)를 만나 육계 2세로의 삶의 이야기를 들어 보았다.

  • 고양이를 기르는 가구의 증가와 함께 건강한 애묘 방법을 찾는 애묘인 또한 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 고양이의 건강 상태를 모니터링하기 위해 반드시 선행되어야만 하는 고양이의 행동 정보를 딥러닝 방법론을 기반으로 인식하고자 한다. 인식을 위해 먼저, 카메라 센서를 이용하여 고양이 영상 데이터를 수집한 후, 수집된 영상에서 RGB 프레임과 optical flow 프레임 정보를 각각 수집한다. 각각의 프레임은 RGB Network 와 Flow Network 에 입력되고, 두 네트워크 결과 정보에 대하여 concatenation 을 수행한다. 연계된 특징 정보는 행동 인식 알고리즘인 Two-Stream YOLO 에 입력이 되어 고양이의 행동을 인식한다. 고양이의 행동 인식은 일곱 개의 클래스로 나누어 진행하였다. 행동 인식 실험 수행 결과 mAP와 f1-score 모두에서 0.9이상의 높은 성능을 보였으며, 실시간으로 수행이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • Go-Yang city, rural region by the 1980s, had rapidly grown to the big city for only 15 years because of Il-San new town development which was developed during $1990{\sim}1995$. So the population and industrial function were greatly increased too. The change of urban spatial structure was grasped by tracing the distribution of population, household and industries of Go-Yang city during $1990{\sim}2005$. The new urban center had grown to the center of the whole city, while the industries of existing centers were extended to the neighbor areas. The existing centers had been changed into 3 types - (1) changed into a part of new urban center, (2) declined to sub-center with small merchant facilities. (3) continuously grown with the development of whole city. As a result, a new town development had changed the urban structure by creating new functional relationships among the existing and new centers rather the existing centers had declined.

  • Recently, as the number of households raising pets increases due to the increase of single households, there is a need for a system for monitoring the status or behavior of pets. There are regional limitations in the monitoring of pets using domestic CCTVs, which requires a large number of CCTVs or restricts the behavior of pets. In this paper, we propose a mobile system for detecting and tracking cats using deep learning to solve the regional limitations of pet monitoring. We use YOLO (You Look Only Once), an object detection neural network model, to learn the characteristics of pets and apply them to Raspberry Pi to track objects detected in an image. We have designed a mobile monitoring system that connects Raspberry Pi and a laptop via wireless LAN and can check the movement and condition of cats in real time.

A study on the development of virtual reality for disaster prevention in households living with companion animals (반려동물 동거가구의 재난예방을 위한 가상현실 개발 연구)

  • This study is a study on the development of virtual reality to prepare for the increase in disasters of households living with companion animals due to the increase of companion animals. The increase in single-person households and DINKs(Double Income, No Kid) along with the low birth rate and aging population is raising the risk of disasters caused by companion animals in particular. Among these disasters, there is an increase in the occurrence of fires primarily due to the raising of companion animals. Electric stove fires caused by pets are the most common fires. In particular, the frequency of electric stove fires caused by cats is the highest. Careful precautions by the owner are necessary to reduce fires caused by pets. Parenting of companion animals causes pet loss syndrome due to emotional exchange. There are injuries to pets in escalators and injuries to owners in elevators due to disasters caused by the owner's negligence. In order to reduce injuries on escalators and elevators, basic etiquette for using escalators and elevators with pets is required as basic etiquette. It is necessary to utilize virtual reality to reduce disasters caused by such companion animals. Virtual reality can be experienced without a physical space in advance training to overcome disasters, so real disaster cases can be experienced immersively. Therefore, learning how to reduce fires caused by companion animals, disasters caused by owner's negligence, and petloss syndrome through virtual reality will greatly contribute to disaster prevention and reduction of social costs.

A Study on the Effect of the Facilitating Factors of B2C eCommerce on the Online Shopping and the Overseas Direct Purchase (우리나라 B2C 전자상거래 촉진요인이 온라인쇼핑과 해외직접구매에 미치는 영향 : 택배물류기업의 과제를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine correlations between the facilitating factors of the B2C e-commerce and the online shopping and the overseas direct purchase for the purpose of suggesting the successful logistics operational strategies for the domestic parcel delivery service companies. This paper conducts wide literature reviews and empirical analyses on relationships between the facilitating factors of B2C e-commerce and the online shopping and the overseas direct purchase in B2C e-commerce. We built two regression equations that dependable variables are the turnover of online shopping and the amount of imports by international postal logistics services respectively. The former equation's estimation results show that all the independable variables are affecting the dependable variable in the long-term jointly. And, the results show that the change of the turnover of online shopping is affected not only by the change of the usage count of a credit card and the real GDP, but also by the change of the error-correction variable. The latter equation's estimation results show that all the independable variables are affecting the dependable variable in the long-term jointly. Futhermore, the results show that the change of the amount of imports by international postal logistics services is affected not only by the change of the usage count of a credit card, the exchange rate and the internet protocol IPv4, but also by the change of the error-correction variable. Based on these research results, a high advanced strategic approach for optimum parcel delivery services is highly required.
