Development of Simulation Program of Double Cam Driving System for Rapier Loom (래피어 직기용 더블 캠 구동 시스템의 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발)

  • Weft insertion and Beating mechanism which weaves fabric with completion the pattern of warp yarn and weft yarn in the high speed rapier loom is driven by cam operating method. This mechanism has 4 cams on the coaxial line for driving. These cams form a pair by two. and perform a conjugate motion with each other. By this reason, it is necessary for two pairs to realize the synchronized motion through exact and optimal design. From this viewpoint, to analysis the whole cams' movement and to realize the high speed of rapier loom, I tried to develop the computer aided simulation program. In this study, I would like to introduce the simulation program about above-mentioned 4 kinds of cam mechanism which can display the profiles of 2 pairs of cam mechanism not to speak of mutual relationships of their movement on the monitor.

  • 본 논문에서는 CPU의 역할을 최대한으로 줄이고, 고속으로 트패픽을 정형화 하는 효율적인 정형화기를 설계하였다. 기존에 제시되었던 대부분의 정형화 알고리즘들은 큐를 가지고 CPU에 의해 소프트웨어적으로 트래픽 정형화를 수행하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 주로 하드웨어적으로 정형화 작업을 수행하여 CPU의 부하를 줄여 고속으로 정형화를 수행할 수 있도록 BOP(Bandwidth Oriented Priority) Markovian 정형화기와 Circular 정형화기를 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

  • 이 논문에서는 비동기 IMT-2000 시스템에서 고속의 멀티미디어 서비스의 호 차단율을 낮추기 위한 자원할당 알고리즘을 개발한다. 이 논문에서 제시하는 알고리즘의 성능을 측정하기 위해 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 실시한 결과, 기존의 알고리즘 대비 고속 멀티미디어 서비스의 호 차단율을 40% 이상 개선하는 것으로 나타났다. 현재, 이 알고리즘은 LG 전자에서 개발한 상용 비동기 IMT-2000 시스템에 적용되어 운용되고 있다.

  • 산술연산을 수행하는 가산기는 ALU(arithmetic logic unit)의 성능을 좌우하는데 매우 중요한 역할을 하며, 어떠한 캐리 생성 방식을 사용하는냐에 따라 그 성능이 결정될 수 있다. RCA(Ripple carry adder)는 간단하고, 쉬운 설게로 널리 사용되자만, 캐리의 전파지연 문제로 인해 고속의 가산기 응용에의 부적합하다. 또한, CLA(carry lookahead adder)방식의 가산기는 캐리의 지연시간이 가산기의 단수와 무관하므로, 연산속도를 높일 수 있는 장점이 있지만 더하고자 하는 bit의 수가 클수록 회로가 매우 복잡해지는 큰 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 간단하면서도 성능이 우수한 64bit 가산기를 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 설계된 회로의 우수성을 증명하였다.

  • Computer aided simulation is an essential part in planning, design, and operation of railway systems. To determine the adequate performance and specification of railway system, it is necessary to calculate train performances such as distance, speed, power during train's running. This paper presents result of train performance simulation using the program that developed for Korea high speed train. To verify result of simulation, we have compared that with experiment data.

  • This paper proposes a new method for the high- speed penetration detection between the 3D human body model and the 3D cloth model using a virtual cylinder, and for the correction of the 3D cloth model. Penetration sometimes occurs locally, when the cloth model is adopted geometrically to the body. This method establishes the virtual cylinder surrounding the body model and the cloth model, and selects at a time the candidates of the penetrated points using the virtual cylinder. Finally, the penetrated points are detected among the candidates. Shift of the vertices or division of the edges in the penetrated points can correct the cloth model geometrically. This method works faster than the physical-based method. The latter requires the repeated detection of the penetrated points using bounding volume and the repeated corrections of the cloth model using dynamics.

Design of high speed InAlGaAs/InGaAs HBT structure by Hybrid Monte Carlo Simulation (Hybrid Monte Carlo 시뮬레이션에 의한 고속 InAlGaAs/InGaAs HBT의 구조 설계)

  • InAlGaAs/InGaAs HBTs with the various emitter junction gradings(xf=0.0-1.0) and the modified collector structures (collector- I;n-p-n, collector-II;i-p-n) are simulated and analyzed by HMC (Hybrid Monte Carlo) method in order to find an optimum structure for the shortest transit time. A minimum base transit time($ au$b) of 0.21ps was obtainsed for HBT with the grading layer, which is parabolically graded from $x_f$=1.0 and xf=0.5 at the emitter-base interface. The minimum collector transit time($\tau$c) of 0.31ps was found when the collector was modified by inserting p-p-n layers, because p layer makes it possible to relax the electric field in the i-type collector layer, confining the electrons in the $\Gamma$-valley during transporting across the collector. Thus InAlGaAs/InGaAs HBT in combination with the emitter grading($x_f$=0.5) and the modified collector-III showed the transit times of 0.87 psec and the cut-off frequency (f$\tau$) of 183 GHz.

  • To obtain the system requirement specification in the beginning of the precision guidance system development, the effectiveness and reliability analysis for the system are necessary. The main purpose of this research is to obtain the system requirement specification for the high speed unmanned underwater vehicles by carrying out the effectiveness analysis using the modeling and simulation scheme. The effectiveness is position error for target position. Reaching accuracy is expected to be affected by the navigation sensor parameter. Assume that the navigation sensors that is consist of inertial navigation system(INS) and doppler velocity log(DVL) is the parameter. To analyze the effectiveness of each parameter, Monte-Carlo numerical simulation is performed in this research. The effectiveness analysis is carried out using circular error probability(CEP) and variance analyze scheme. Considering the cost function, the specification of the navigation sensor is provided. The cost function is consist of the INS and DVL specification and the price of those sensors.

  • This paper addresses the analysis and the design optimization of differential interconnects for Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) applications. Thanks to the differential transmission and the low voltage swing, LVDS offers high data rates and improved noise immunity with significantly reduced power consumption in data communications, high-resolution display, and flat panel display. We present an improved model and new equations to reduce impedance mismatch and signal degradation in cascaded interconnects using optimization of interconnect design parameters such as trace width, trace height and πace space in differential flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) transmission lines. We have carried out frequency-domain full-wave electromagnetic simulations, time-domain transient simulations, and S-parameter simulations to evaluate the high-frequency characteristics of the differential FPCB interconnects.

  • In this paper, a highly scalable real-time locating system which can measure location of fast moving targets is proposed. Within the system, the location service area is partitioned into grids with squares which is referred to as a macro-cell. Also, a macro-cell is further partitioned into $N{\times}N$ micro-cells. In a micro-cell, location reference nodes are placed on every vertex and an arbitration node is placed on the center. When a mobile node tries to measure its location, it should first communicate with the arbitration nodes for granting location measurement operation. Therefore, within a micro-cell, only one granted mobile node can calculate its location by a series of communication with location reference nodes. To evaluate performance of the proposed system, the system is modeled and simulated. The simulation result shows that the proposed system requires small communication time for location measurement operation and produces small location calculation error for fast moving targets.
