Parametric Study on Gloss Property of UV Curable Coated Steel (자외선 코팅 강판의 광택도에 미치는 공정 변수에 대한 연구)

  • This work deals with the effects of different oligomers, monomers, photoinitiators, and steel plates on the variation of gloss for UV coated steel plates at $20^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$ (ASTM D523). The gloss value was more significantly varied with $20^{\circ}$ angle as compared with $60^{\circ}$. No substantial change in gloss was observed for the type of single oligomer; however, the gloss varied with the mixing ratios of oligomers, type and mixing ratio of monomers, type and concentration of photoinitiator, and type of steel plate. The maximum gloss value was observed when the mixing ratio of polyurethane acrylate (UA) to epoxy acrylate (EA) was 70 : 30, the mixing ratio of trimethylolpropantriacrylate (TMPTA) to tetrahydrofurfurylacrylate (THFA) was 5 : 5, the content of the mixed oligomer (UA : EA = 70 : 30) was 90 wt%, respectively. Darocur MBF of liquid type showed better gloss property than the solid type of Irgacure 184, and the gloss was decreased as the concentration of Darocur MBF increased from 1 to 4 wt%. Regarding the type of steel plate, GI steel plate showed better gloss property as compared with EG and primer-coated steel plates. The maximum gloss values of 95 GU and 120 GU, respectively, at $20^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$ angles throughout the parametric study in the absence of leveling agents enhancing the gloss.

  • This review article summarizes metal-assisted chemical etching (MAC etch or MACE), an anisotropic etching method for Si, and describes principles, main factors, and recent achievements in literature. In 1990, it was discovered that, with metal catalyst on surface and $H_2O_2$/HF as etchant, Si substrate can be etched anisotropically, in even in solution. In contrast to high-cost vacuum-based dry etching methods, MAC etch enables to fabricate a variety of high aspect ratio nanostructures through wet etching process.

The Effect of Growth Parameters on Crystal Quality of 3C-SiC(111) Thin Film (성장변수가 3C-SiC(111) 박막의 결정성에 미치는 영향)

  • P-type Si(111)기판 위에 3C-SiC박막 성장시 TMS(tetramethylsilane)유량, 반응온도, 반응압력, 가스공급방법등 다양한 성장변수에 따른 박막의 결정성변화를 연구하였다. 증착된 막은 모두 (111)방향성만을 나타내었고, free Si, C의 존재는 관찰할 수 없었다. TMS 유량 0.5 sccm에서, 1100-120$0^{\circ}C$의 반응온도에서 , 반응압력 12-50Torr 조건에서 비록 dislocation과 twin등이 발결되었으나 단결정 3C-SiC 박막을 성장시킬 수 있었으며, 박막의 결정성은 기판에 흡착된 Si-종과 C-종이migration할 수 있는 시간과 에너지에 크게 영향 받음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 SiC/Si계면에서 carbonization공정에서 관찰되는 것으로 알려진 void를 관찰할 수 있었으며, 이러한 void의 발생은 기체공급방법을 달리함으로서 제거할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Preparation of the SiO2 Films with Low-Dit by Low Temperature Oxidation Process (저온 산화공정에 의해 낮은 Dit를 갖는 실리콘 산화막의 제조)

  • In this work, the $SiO_2$ films on the silicon substrate with different orientations were first prepared by the low temperature process using the ECR plasma diffusion as a function of microwave power and oxidation time. Before and after thermal treatment, the surface morphology, Si/O ratio from physicochemical properties, and the electrical properties of the oxide films were also investigated. The oxidation rate increased with microwave power, while surface morphology showed the nonuniform due to etching. The film quality, therefore, was lowered with increasing the defect by etching and the content of positive oxide ions in the oxide films from bulk by higher self-DC bias. The content of positive oxide ions in the oxide films with different Si orientations showed Si(100) < Si(111) < poly Si. The defects in $Si/SiO_2$ interface of $SiO_2$ film could be decreased by annealing, while $Q_{it}$ and $Q_f$ were independent of thermal treatment and the dependent on concentration of reactive oxide ions and self-DC bias of substrate. At microwave power of 300, and 400 W, the high quality $SiO_2$ film that had lower surface roughness and defect in $Si/SiO_2$ interface was obtained. The value of interface trap density, then, was ${\sim}9{\times}10^{10}cm^{-2}eV^{-1}$.

  • This review summarizes advantage and limitation in infrared spectroscopy and computational chemistry to understand rhizospheric interaction among organic acids, oxyanions and metal oxides. Since organic acids and metal oxides determine dynamics of oxyanions in the soil environment, knowledge of fundamental mechanisms is a prerequisite for understanding the interactions at soil-water interface. Attenuated total reflectance-fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) is a powerful tool to measure the interfacial reactions. However, the ATR-FTIR measurements are abstruse, because the optical characteristics for measurements are variable depending on the experimental setup. In addition, spectral overlapping is a primary obstacle to the analysis of the interfacial reaction; thus, it is essential to detect and to deconvolute bands for signal interpretation. In this review, we expained the fundamental principle for spectrum processing, and four band identification methods, such as derivative spectroscopy, two-dimension correlation spectroscopy, multivariate curve resolution, and computational chemistry with example of aqueous phosphate speciation. As a result, spectrum processing and computational chemistry improved interpretation and spectral deconvolution of overlapped spectra in relatively simple systems, but it was still unsatisfactory for the problems in more complexed system like nature. Nevertheless, we believed that our challenge would contribute practically to develop adequate analytical procedure, signal processing and protocols that could help to improve interpretation and to understand the interfacial interactions of oxyanions in natural systems.

Effect of Si contents on Tensile-Shear Peak Load and Nugget Diameter in the Resistance Spot Welded of Dual Phase Steel for Automotive Body Applications (자동차 차체용 냉연 DP강 저항점용접부의 너깃경과 인장전단강도에 미치는 Si 함유량의 영향)

  • 원가 측면에서 유리한 저항점용접(Resistance Spot Welding)이 차체 용접에 80%이상으로 가장 많이 적용되고 있다. 첨단고강도강(Advanced High Strength Steel)의 저항점용접성 및 용접부 특성에 미치는 공정 변수의 영향에 대한 연구결과는 많으나, 합금원소의 영향에 대해서는 전무하다. 특히, Si는 DP(Dual Phase)강에 첨가 시 균일한 마르텐사이트의 분포를 촉진하는 원소로 저항 점용접성 및 용접부 특성에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되며, 이에 대한 연구는 보고된바 없다. 본 연구에서는 냉연 DP강의 저항 점용접시 중요한 인자 중 하나인 너깃경과 전단인장강도에 미치는 Si함유량의 영향을 검토하였다. 사용된 강재 및 용접기는 1.2mm 두께의 Si함유량(0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5wt%)이 다른 인장강도 780~1000MPa급 냉연 DP강과 단상 AC용접기를 사용하였다. 용접조건은 ISO 18278-2규격에 따라 가압력 4kA, 초기가압시간 40cycle, 유지시간 17cycle로 고정하고, 용접전류만 변화하여 용접을 실시하였다. 너깃경은 용접부 단면을 컷팅 후 폴리싱 하여, 광학현미경과 Image Pro plus를 이용하여 측정했으며, 인장시편규격은 JIS Z 3137를 이용하였다. Si함유량이 증가에 따라 스패터 발생 전류는 감소했고, 너깃경은 직선적으로 증가했다. Si함유량 증가에 따른 너깃경 증가 이유는 저항(R) 측정결과, Si함유량 증가에 따라 모재의 저항이 높아져, 따라서 입열량($Q=I^2Rt$)이 많아지기 때문으로 판단되었다. 인정전단강도는 Si함유량 증가에 따라 직선적으로 증가했다. 이러한 이유는 Si함유량 증가에 따라 너깃경이 증가되기 때문으로 판단되었고, 너깃경과 인장전단강도 사이에 직선적 관계(PL(kN)=$3.2N_{dia.}$-0.81, $R^2$=0.93)를 가지고 있었다. 파단양상은 Si함유량에 상관없이 5.4kA이하에서는 계면파단이 일어났고, 6.0kA이상에서는 풀 아웃 파단이 일어났다. 계면파단주원인은 용접부 가장자리에 지름이 약 $5{\mu}m$이하의 예리한 노치가 존재하여 노치응력집중과 HAZ계면 근처에 미접합부가 존재하기 때문으로 판단되었다. 6.0kA이상에서는 예리한 노치가 없었고, HAZ부가 완전히 접합되어 있기 때문에 풀 아웃 파단이 일어난 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서, Si함유량 증가에 따라 적정용접전류 구간은 감소했고, 너깃경은 직선적으로 증가했다. 또한, Si함유량 증가에 따라 인장전간강도는 증가 했으며, 너깃경과 인장전단강도 사이에 직선적 관계를 가지고 있었다. 파단 양상은 Si함유량에 상관없이 5.2kA이하에서는 계면파단이, 6.0kA이상에서는 풀 아웃 파단이 일어났다.

Development of Aqueous/Semi-Aqueous Cleaning Agent and its Field Application to Cleaning Process of Electronic Parts (수계/준수계 세정제의 개발 및 전자부품 세정공정 현장적용 연구)

  • In this study, aqueous/semi-aqueous cleaning agents which consist of organic solvent, surfactant, cosurfactant, and water were developed by changing formulation parameters such as organic solvent type and contents, surfactant type and contents, and cosurfactant/surfactant(A/S) ratio, etc.. And physical properties and flux removal of the formulated cleaning agents have been evaluated. Also, the performance of oil-water separation from the rinse water contaminated during the cleaning process was evaluated for its recycling. The formulated cleaning agents in this work expected to have good penetration because of their low viscosity and low surface tension values of 30.2~32.5 dyne/cm. The flux removal with the terpene type cleaning agent was higher than that with hydrocarbon type cleaning agent and two commercial products (CPA(commercial product A), CPB(commercial product B)). And the performance of oil-water separation by gravity settling from the rinse water contaminated with formulated cleaning agent and soils was shown to be very good. The cleaning agents developed in this work were applied to surface mounting technology(SMT) cleaning process for manufacturing electronic parts at L electronic company. As a result, the newly developed cleaning agents showed two times better cleaning speed for removal of solder cream than the conventional ond containing ethanol and IPA(isopropyl alcohol). In addition, malodor and VOC problems generated by the previous organic cleaning agents have been solved in the manufacturing field through introduction of the non-volatile and environmental-friendly cleaning agents to the field.

Formation of TiO(OH)$_2$ Ultrafine Particles by Reverse Micelle (역마이셀에 의한 TiO(OH)$_2$ 미세분말 제조)

  • Titanium hydroxide (TiO({{{{ {OH }_{2 } }})) fine particles were produced by the reverse micelle technique. For the formation of titanium hydroxide (TiO({{{{ {OH }_{2 } }})) particles with the technique reversed micellar solution was prepared by solubilizing water into organic solvent (isooctane) with a surfactant and titanium alkoxide (tetraisopropyl orthotitanate) diluted with isopropyl alcohol was added to the reversed micellar solution. The hdrolyzed species (TiO({{{{ {OH }_{2 } }})) was formed by the hydrolysis of titanium alkoxide and titanium dioxide is then formed by the condensation of the hydrolyzed species. There are several process variables such as surfactants concentration of surface cosurfactant hydrolysis temperature and pH. In this work the ef-fects of process variables on paticle shapes particle size distribution and paticle agglomeration were bi-nodal for an anionic surfactant(AOT) in the whole range of temperature pH and surfactant concentration of this experiment. The addition of ethanol as a cosurfactant resulted in narrow particle size distribution of the experiment. The additiono of ethanol as a cosurfactant resulted in narrow particle size distribution and 0.12${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of smaller average particle diameter. FT-IR spectrum of particles shows the absorption peak of Ti-OH bonding and Ti-O bonding. An exothermic peak around 41$0^{\circ}C$ in TGA-DTA curve shows that crys- tallized anatase phase appears and completely transits to anatase around 45$0^{\circ}C$.

The Effect of Weld Line on the Mechanical Strengths and its Elimination Process in the Zr-4 Resistance Upset Welds (지르칼로이-4의 저항업셋용접에서 용접선이 기계적성질에 미치는 영향과 그 소멸과정)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of weld line on the mechanical strengths and the process of weld line elimination in the Zircaloy-4 resistance upset welding for the fabrication of heavy water reactor fuel rods. The weld current and the amount of upset increased linearly with the main heat, in which two relations between them were derived. It was found that the threshold to obtain sound weld was 50% of main heat in terms of weld upset size, mechanical strengths and weld line elimination. The weld microstructure of resistance upset welds of Zircaloy-4 comprsied basketweave, Widmanstatten and martensite respectively by changing the main heats. Dimples on uniaxially fractured surface at weld line in the Zr-4 welds were larger and deeper compared with those on biaxially fractured surface. It was also found that the process of the weld line elimination in the resistance upset weld of Zircaloy-4 could be divided into three stages in terms of the presence of many pores, their shrinkage and elimination, and the shrinkage of the original weld interface with increasing weld currents.

Study on Optimization and Skin Permeation of PIT Nanoemulsion Containing α-Bisabolol (α-Bisabolol을 함유한 PIT Nanoemulsion의 최적화 및 피부흡수연구)

  • The skin is divided into three parts: the epidermis, the dermis, and the subcutaneous fat, and the stratum corneum, which is located at the top of the epidermis, acts as a barrier that prevents drug delivery. Nanoemulsions are known to be effective in transdermal delivery of drugs through intercellular lipids because of their unique small particle size. In this study, phase inversion temperature (PIT) nanoemulsion containing α-bisabolol was optimized using response surface methodology (RSM) for effective skin absorption of α-bisabolol. As a preliminary experiment, the 25-2 fractional factorial design method and the 23 full factorial design method were performed. Box-Behnken design was performed based on the results of the factorial design method. The content of surfactant (6.3~12.6%), co-surfactant (5.2~7.8%) and α-bisabolol (0.5~5.0%) were used as factors, and the dependent variable was the particle size of the nanoemulsion. PIT nanoemulsion optimization was performed according to the RSM results, and as a result, the optimal nanoemulsion formulation conditions were predicted to be 10.4% surfactant content, 6.3% co-surfactant content, and 5.0% α-bisabolol content. As a result of the skin absorption test, the final skin absorption rate of the PIT nanoemulsion was 35.11±1.01%, and the final skin absorption rate of the general emulsion as a control was 28.25±1.69%, confirming that the skin absorption rate of the PIT nanoemulsion was better.
