A study on the Synthesis end Properties of Polyurethane Resin Based on PPG as a Glycol (폴리프로필렌글리콜을 글리콜 성분으로 하는 폴리우레탄 수지의 합성 및 물성에 관한 연구)

  • The polyurethane resin was prepared by the reaction of tolylenediisocyanate(TDI) and polypropyleneglycol(PPG). Physical properties of the resin were investigated experimentally. Charging catalyst before TDI-dropping induced the rapid increase of viscosity. On the other hand, charging catalyst after TDI-dropping resulted in mild stability without immoderate generation of heat on reaction. The use of phosphoric acid as catalyst led to low viscosity by restraining side-reaction such as forming of branch-chain, buret reaction and allopanate reaction, but it showed low cross-link density and slow drying. The curing speed was more influenced by structures of molecules rather than NCO/OH ratio. Including PPG 400 over 30 wt % showed excellent adhesive strength due to increase of crosslink density.

Effect of Metal Complexes as a Catalyst on Curing Behavior and Mechanical Properties of Silica Filled Epoxy-Anhydride Compounds (촉매로서 금속 착화합물이 실리카가 충전된 에폭시-산무수물 복합체의 경화 거동 및 물성에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, in order to complete curing reaction of the molding compound comprising an epoxy/anhydride at $71^{\circ}C$ for 40 hours, metal coordination complexes such as cobalt (II) acetylacetonate, potassium acetylacetonate, iron (III) acetylacetonate and chromium (III) octoate as a catalyst were applied to the epoxy/anhydride compounds respectively. The weight ratio of an epoxy part/an anhydride part was adjusted to improve the mechanical properties of the molding compound. According to the experimental results, an epoxy/anhydride compound containing chromium (III) octoate showed a high conversion at $71^{\circ}C$ for 40 hours as well as a proper processability at room temperature among the several metal coordination complexes. For the mechanical properties of the cured epoxy/anhydride compound, the compounds containing weight ratio from 0.9/1 to 0.5/1 of the epoxy part/anhydride part with chromium (III) octoate showed the high flexural strength, and higher compressive strength was shown with increasing of the hardener part.

  • Vinylester was syntheszed in the presence of amine and metal catalysts, such as triethylamine(TEA), triethylbenzyl ammonium chloride (TEBAC), cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTMAB), chromium acety] acetate (CAA), and triphenylantimony (TPA). Apropriate use of amine and organometal catalysts were 1.7~2.2 % (Wt. %), 2.5~3.1 % (Wt %) of charged methacrylic acid (MAA) in respect of reactivity, gel-time, and storage stability. The Order of reactivity was TEA>TEBAC>CTMAB>CAA>TPA. Temperature independence of catalyst showed more large deviation above $110^{\circ}C$. Storage stability could be improved without delay of gel-time by adding TPA in 2.0 % (Wt %) of charged MAA after synthesis.

  • Photocurable modified 6 functional polyacrylate(PA-1) were prepared from dipentaerythritol derivatives (DPET) and acrylic acid, and 12 functional polymethacrylate(PA-2) were prepared from dipentaerythritol derivatives (DPET), trimellitic anhydride, and glycidyl methacrylate. And physical properties of photocurable modified poly(meth)acrylate were increased with increasing functionality of (meth)acrylate. Thermal stability of UV cured film obtained by using TGA was shifted to higher temperature as the increasing of functionality. Hardness, abrasion resistance and tensile strength of UV cured film were increased with increasing functionality of (meth)acrylate. Values of yellow index were increased with increasing functionality of (meth)acrylate.

  • As the refractive index of the prism layer becomes higher, the optical performance of the prism sheet gets better and the efficiency of the LCD backlight unit is improved. In order to increase the refractive index of the prism layer, the ultraviolet curing type resins were prepared by mixing high refractive index materials containing aromatic groups and the multi-functional reactive diluents. By using 9,9-bis [4-(2-acryloyloxyethoxy)phenyl] fluorene, the refractive index of the prism layer was increased up to 1.58 and the brightness of the backlight unit was improved. Since the light source used in the backlight unit caused the yellowing in the prism sheet and deteriorated the brightness accordingly, the hindered amine light stabilizer was used to improve the yellowing resistance successfully.

  • Deterioration in the concrete structure are due to carbonation, chloride ion attack and frost attack. Therefore, concrete structure is needed to surface protection for increase durability using silicate impregnants. Thus, this study is concerned with self-cleaning and durability of silicate hydrophilic impregnants of concrete structure using lithium and potassium silicates. From the experimental test results, lithium and potassium silicates have a good properties as a carbonation resistance. Lithium and potassium silicates make good use of hydrophilic impregnants of concrete structures.

A Study on Curing Level Prediction Model for Varying Chemical Composition of Epoxy Asphalt Mixture (에폭시 아스팔트 혼합물의 에폭시 화학 조성에 따른 양생수준 예측)

  • The curing of epoxy asphalt mixture depends on the chemical reaction of epoxy resin and the curing agent. The curing level of epoxy asphalt mixture needs to be predicted in order to decide traffic opening time and to establish further construction plans. In this study, chemical analysis of the prediction model was executed to expand the applicability of the previous prediction model. Consequently, the curing level prediction model of epoxy asphalt concrete mixture was proposed using the concentration ratio and the acid value ratio. According to the results of outdoor curing experiments, the final prediction model showed that the correlation coefficient is greater than 0.971. Precise prediction results of different composition epoxy asphalt were obtained by reflecting the chemical composition ratios in the curing level prediction model.

  • In this study, we synthesized UV-curable urethane acrylates with different contents of BA, reactive diluent and characterized their physical properties such as thermal, mechanical properties, adhesive strength and flexibility resistance. From a result of DSC, Tg of polyol and acrylate resin were separated as the BA content increased more than 40%. Also, tensile strength, elongation and adhesive strength decreased with increasing the BA content. The UV-curable urethane acrylate with 40% BA has shown good flexibility resistance compared to other resin due to poor hardness and Tm of acrylate resin.

  • 혈관내피세포는 혈관의 내벽에 단일 층을 구성하고 있는 상피세포로 동맥경화나 혈관협착의 원인에 매우 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그리고, 모든 혈관 질환의 발생장소가 혈관이 나뉘는 분지부에 집중되고 있어, 혈류역학과 혈관질환 간에 상호연관성이 있음을 짐작할 수 있다. 특히, 최근에 와서 혈관내피세포가 혈액유동에 의해 발생하는 전단응력을 인지하여 혈관의 제반 생리적 반응을 조절한다는 연구결과가 속속 발표되고 있어, 혈관질환의 극복을 위한 연구 개발에 혈관내피세포에 대한 이해의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 혈관내피세포에 혈류와 같은 크기의 전단응력을 부가하여 세포의 생리적 반응을 고찰할 수 있는 평판형 층류발생장치를 설계, 제작하였다. 설계된 평판형 층류발생장치는 유동환경 하에서의 혈관내피세포의 동적반응을 고찰 할 수 있도록 유동액의 온도, 산도, 전단응력의 크기를 조절할 수 있도록 설계하였으며, 제작된 실험장치를 이용하여 전단응력에 의한 혈관내피세포의 형태변화를 고찰하였다. 개발된 층류발생장치는 혈관내피세포의 연구 뿐 아니라, 백혈구의 점착, 암세포의 전이등에도 다양하게 활용이 가능하다.

Chemical Properties of Light-weight Foamed Concrete Using WCP in Hydrothermal Reaction Condition (수열반응 조건에서 폐콘크리트 미분말을 사용한 경량기포콘크리트의 화학적 특성)

  • This study is shown the chemical characteristics by SEM and XRD for the Light-weight Foamed Concrete according to replacement ratio of WCP and the autoclave curing time. From the SEM of the Light-weight Foamed Concrete after hydrothermal raction, regardless of replacement ratio of WCP and the autoclave curing time, forms the crystal hydrates having various shapes such as board and fiber etc is generated. From the XRD, it seems that the tobermorite hydrate is originated from crystalized quartz.
