정보경제(Information Economy), 이른바 디지털경제는 최상의 수준에 와 있는 걸로 보인다. 가정에서 그리고 일터에서 우리는 수많은 정보환경에 휩싸여 살아간다. 그리고 우리는 이러한 것들을 당연한 것으로 받아들이고 만끽하면서 생활한다. 그러면서 중요한 사실 한가지를 잊고 있는데, 정보경제 역시 라이프사이클을 따른다는 점이다. 모든 경제법칙이 그러하듯 정보경제 역시 탄생(gestation), 성장(growth), 성숙(maturity), 쇠퇴(decline)의 흐름을 따를 수 밖에 없다. 그렇다면, 지금 우리는 어디쯤 가고 있는 걸까?

본 논문은 단기 및 장기간에 걸쳐 부동산시장의 동태적 자금흐름과 수익률 분석에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 논문에서는 부동산시장의 실증적 동태적 자금흐름과 수익률 분석은 VAR모형을 사용하였으며 다양한 금융 및 경제관련 변수들을 연구에 포함시키고 있다. 실증적 분석 결과에 따르면 우리나라에서도 기존의 미국 연구 사례에서와 같이 금융시장의 자금흐름을 통하여 부동산시장의 동태적 자금흐름을 예측할 수 없다는 점을 파악할 수 있다.

국가부채에 대한 불안감이 확산되고 선진국의 재정긴축기조가 본격화되면서 세계경제는 올 하반기 이후 성장활력이 낮아질 것으로 예상된다. 리먼쇼크 당시 위기해결사로 나섰던 정부 부문이 부채급증으로 경기를 떠받치는 능력이 약화되어 선진국 가계와 기업의 수요 심리가 쉽게 살아나기 어려울 전망이다. 선진국의 소비 및 투자부진은 세계교역과 금융시장 불안정성 확대, 경제주체들의 기대심리 악화 등을 통해 세계경제로 파급될 것이다. 중국 등 거대개도국이 제한적으로 버팀목 역할을 하면서 급격한 침체는 막을 것이지만 세계경제 성장률은 지난해 5% 수준에서 올해와 내년에는 3%대 중반까지 낮아질 것으로 예상된다. 금융위기 이후 세계경제와 유사한 흐름을 보이고 있는 국내경제도 성장세가 둔화될 전망이다. 다음은 LG경제정책연구원에서 발표한 "2012년 경제전망"의 주요 내용을 정리 요약한 것이다.

This study investigates the time-space characteristics of the road traffic flows in Seoul and the relationship with land use patterns. For the purpose, we analyze the road traffic data collected at 118 observation sites over Seoul City area since 1993. We examine the time-trend of the annual average traffic flows per day during the last fourteen years. Three different trends are revealed: rapid increase during the time period between 1993 and 1997, maintenance same level after sharp decrease between year 1997 and 1998, and gradual decrease after sharp decrease between year 2003 and 2004. The spatial distribution patterns of road traffic flows have also been changed significantly during the period. The traffic flows in the urban center have been declined gradually, while the traffic flows in the boundary area and southern CBDs have increased dramatically. In order to examine the relationship with the changes in the land-use patterns and road traffic flows, we analyze the changes in the spatial distribution patterns of population and industries. We developed three multiple linear regression models to test the relationships between the changes in the land-use variables and road traffic flows.

This study utilizes Monte Carlo simulation to forecast the time charter rate of vessels, the three-month Libor interest rate, and the ship demolition price, to mitigate future uncertainties involving these factors. The simulation was performed 10,000 times to obtain an exact result. For the empirical analysis - based on considerations in ordering ships in 2010-a comparison between the Monte Carlo simulation-based stochastic discounted cash flow (DCF) method and traditional DCF methods was made. The analysis revealed that the net present value obtained through Monte Carlo simulation was lower than that obtained via regular DCF methods, alerting the owners to risks and preventing them from placing injudicious orders for ships. This research has implications in reducing the uncertainties that future shipping markets face, through the use of a stochastic DCF approach with relevant variables and probability methods.

Since the mid-to-late 1990s, there have obviously been many changes in the North Korean economy. Since the change has been more pronounced since Kim Jong Un took power in 2012, the purpose of the paper is to track the trend of economic policy by timing. In this paper, I use LDA Topic Modeling, a text-mining analyzer method, to analyze the economics journal "Economic Research," which is a representative literature in the economic field published in North Korea. An in-depth analysis of the "economic research," which has an unrivaled position as an economic journal produced in North Korea, can be said to be an essential task in tracking the reality, limitations facing the economy and alternatives that North Korean authorities are aware of. Through the "Economic Research," where various topics of debate on the North Korean economy are hidden, the North Korean leader's economic policy flow is examined and the contents of the "change" intended by the current Kim Jong-un regime are analyzed.
