Even though much investment to prevent or mitigate damage from information security breaches have been considered, researches on economically rational information security decision-making such as investment, management, etc. are not introduced in Korea. This study analyzes research themes and methodologies of articles presented at the Workshop on the Economics of Information Security (WEIS) for 2002 - 2014. Results of the study can suggest future research topics for researchers, and help make rational information security decision-making for practitioners.

This study is a case study that attempt to quantify the economic efficiency of 'digital library program(DLP) of the National Library of Korea' by means of cost-benifit analysis. Results indicate that the B/C ratio is 1.70 which can be interpreted the economic efficiency of DLP is very high. Of particular significance is the fact that this study empirically proves that the digital library program is economically efficient.

This paper provides an extensive overview of the literature on economic analysis of climate change, and thereby provides direction for effective adaptation policies for Korea. The paper first gives a comprehensive look on the estimation of economic costs of climate change as given by various research. Following, the paper examines the choice of measures that are used in the economic analysis of climate change by different sectors, including agriculture and human health. The paper also compares and discusses the various analytic results with a focus on Korea in order to shed light on where Korea stands. Finally, the paper examines current literature on adaptation polices in response to climate change, and by examining how such research has evolved and deepened with time, provide directions for the research on adaptation policies for Korea.

경제교육의 중요성이 대두되면서 경제교육을 위한 연구가 활발해 지고 있으며 경제교육을 위한 웹기반 시스템과 코스웨어 개발 연구가 많아 졌다. 그러나 초등학교 저학년을 위한 시스템이나 학교 사회과 수업에 직접 적용할 수 있는 코스웨어의 개발은 많지 않다 따라서, 본 연구에서는 초등학교 2학년 통합교과인 슬기로운 생활 가게놀이 단원의 가게놀이하기 수업을 위한 코스웨어를 개발하였다. 가게놀이에 필요한 준비물을 직접 인쇄할 수 있게 하였고, 가게놀이 규칙과 절차, 가게 선전 방법을 자세히 안내하고 간접 체험할 수 있도록 개발하여 초보적인 경제능력을 기르도록 하였다.

제품제조에 있어 측정의 중요성과 그 경제적 특성에 비추어 주요 산업의 측정관련 투자실태를 파악하고 투자에 따른 그 기여도를 면밀히 분석 한다는 것은 매우 큰 의미를 갖는다. 그 의미의 하나는 측정표준을 공급하고 있는 국가표준기관의 업무수행에 따른 파급효과를 측정하여 향후 국가표준체계의 확립에 필요한 공급기능의 수급자원의 결정에 주요 자료로 기대되고 있다. 그리고 제품의 품질향상을 위한 측정관리의 효율화운동이 점차 확산됨으로써 개별 기업의 생산성 증대와 불량률 감소로 인한 원가절감으로 국산제품의 가격경쟁력의 우위를 기대할 수 있다. 이러한 중요성에 부응하기 위해서는 국가표준의 준용에 따른 측정표준과 관련된 측정투자의 비용과 그 수익성에 관하여 정확한 경제성의 연구 분석이 필요하다. 국가표준의 확립이라는 국가적 과제를 성공적으로 수행하기 위해서는 국가표준의 확립 에 따른 경제성을 분석하여야 한다. 측정투자에 대한 효과분석을 통하여 측정표준에 관한 중요성을 알게 될 것이다. 이러한 의미에서 본 연구는 측정표준을 공급받고 있는 산업체를 대상으로 그 효과를 분석하고 측정의 중요성을 파악하여 일반 산업체에 주지하며 개별 업체의 이익과 국가경제의 부를 창출함으로써 국가표준의 확립효과를 크게 기대하게 될 것이다.

항만물류산업은 교역과 부가가치 창출, 높은 경제적 효과를 지닌 중요한 산업으로 그 영역이 점차 확대되고 있다. 항만물류산업의 효율화는 국가 경쟁력을 증대할 수 있는 방안 중 하나이며, 다수의 선행연구에서 그 영향에 대해 연구가 진행되었다. 본 연구의 산업 분류의 기준이 되는 한국표준산업분류의 9차 개정을 활용하고, 2010년 최초 시행된 경제총조사 자료를 활용하여 울산지역을 대상으로 항만물류산업이 지역경제에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 우리나라 5대 항만도시간 항만물류산업을 비교하였다.
