AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE STRESS DISTRIBUTION IN THE PERIODONTAL LIGAMENT (치주인대의 응력 분포 양상에 관한 실험 연구)

  • In order to achieve a desirable tooth movement, it is of great importance to control the M/F ratio and to know the location of the center of resistance. The purpose of this study was to locate the center of resistance and the axis of rotation, and to estimate the stress distribution in the periodontal ligament with experimental model. After preparing a model of an upper canine with a simulated periodontal ligament and alveolar bone, the force and moment were applied. The tooth movement was traced using measuring device with LVDTs(Linear variable differential transformers) that can measure three dimensional tooth movement in real time. The results were as follows. 1. The location of center of resistance by transverse force was $29\%$ of root length measured from alveolar crest to apex regardless of force magnitude. The position of the center of resistance is more coronal than that of two-dimensional model($42\%$). 2. The center of resistance and the axis of rotation coincide when couple moment was applied. 3. As the magnitude of moment increases, tooth tends to extrude irrespective of the direction of the moment. 4. The relationship between location of force and axis of rotation (a x b = $49.6\;mm^2$) was obtained. A tooth movement can be predicted through this formula. 5. The centers of rotation by transverse force were plotted linearly.

Strategic Considerations for Development of Gunsan(Saemangum) Port in terms of China (중국효과에 따른 새만금항만의 전략적 발전가능성 모색)

  • China's rapid growth of economy and developing logistics facilities such as sea and air ports can give the good effects to increase the trade and logistics cargo volumes within Pan Yellow Sea Economic Bloc which consists of Korea, China, Japan and Russia. These phenomenon also stimulate the development of the West Coastal Integrated Belt in South Korea. In the past 20th century, South Korea's advanced and developed areas were located on the Kyeong-Bu Axis, the straight line of Seoul and Busan. However, due to the china's effect, this axis is moving into the West Coast area between Incheon (Seoul) and Mokpo, which is closely located to China. In this aspect, sea ports located in West Coast of Korea have shown the steep increase in container and non-container cargo volumes. With regard to the changing environments in sea ports, this paper's aim is to investigate the developing potential of Gunsan (Saemangum) area located on mid of West Coast. As results, targeted area have shown the potential in terms of port network, supply chain management and transferring location for container cargoes. Moreover, for implementing the suitable roles, construction of New Saemangun port, closely located in Gunsan port, is needed to overcome the limitations of Gunsan port.

A Strict Hub Network Design with Single Allocation for Road Freight Transportation (도로화물수송의 단일할당 제약 허브네트워크 설계)

  • Hub network design for freight transportation is a decision process that determines hub locations together with freight transportation routes among shippers so as to ultimately minimize total logistics cost. This study presents the optimal location of hubs by strict hub network design policy with single allocation, which overcomes the limitation of Kim et al. (2008) that does not allow direct transportation among shippers. The greedy-interchange algorithm is employed for hub location decision process, and EMME/2 is adopted for the route searching process. Application of the processes to the nationwide highway network shows that the best hub locations in order are Seoul metropolitan, GyeongNam, Chung-nam, Jeon-Nam, Gyeong-Buk, Chung-Buk, and the locations are concentrated on the Seoul-Busan corridor. The strict hubnetwork design policy with single allocation increases the transportation distance but decreases the transportation cost by passing through the hubs instead of direct transportation. The reduction in total transportation cost can be achieved as the number of hubs increases, but the amount of the reduction gradually decreases because the cost reduction from the decrease in detour transportation distance between non-hubs and hubs becomes less than the discount reduction from dispersion of inter-hubs transportation volumes.

  • 1. 목적 이 연구의 목적은 기존의 평가기준에 따라 관찰자에 의해 주관적으로 판단된 치은형과 실제 치은두께와의 상관관계를 규명하고 임상검사 시에 측정할 수 있는 변수들과 치은두께의 연관성을 평가하는 것이다. 2 방법 211명의 치과대학생(22-43세, 평균 24.7세)을 연구대상으로 하여 상악중절치부위에서 국소마취하에 근관 치료용 파일을 치은에 삽입하여 두께를 측정하고 임상검사를 통해 치주낭깊이, 치태지수, 치은지수, 치은퇴축, 체형 및 비만도, 피부형, 치경부의 형태, 관측자가 임의로 판단한 치은형을 기록하였다. 임상사진으로 치관의 폭경과 길이의 비율, 치은외형의 만곡정도를 조사하고 평행촬영법을 이용한 방사선사진으로 치아의 장평비율 및 치아의 치관 폭경과 치경부 폭경의 비율을 조사하였다. 전체 대상을 치은의 두께를 기준으로 평균두께보다 얇은 군과 두꺼운 군의 두 개의 군으로 분류하여 임상검사 사에 측정한 변수들이 각 군 간에 유의할 만한 차이를 보이는지와 임의로 판단한 치은형이 실제 치은두께와 연관이 있는지를 알아보았다. 통계처리는 Student t-test를 이용하였다. 3. 결과 치주낭 깊이, 치은지수, 체형 및 비만도, 피부형, 치아의 형태, 치경부의 형태, 치아의 장평비율의 경우 실제 측정하여 얻은 치은의 두께와의 상관관계는 통계적으로 유의성이 없었다. 치은의 형태는 치은의 두께와 상관성은 보이고 있으나 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 관측자가 임의로 평가한 치은형과 실제 측정치도 유의할만한 일치를 보이지 않고 있다. 4. 결론 치은의 형태는 치은의 두께를 예상하는데 약간의 도움이 될 수 있으나 실제 치은의 두께는 임상적으로 간단히 측정할 수 있는 겸사지수들과 직접적인 상관관계를 보이지 않았다. 따라서 치료결과의 예측에 있어서 치은형을 분류하여 예상하는 것은 큰 도움이 되지 않는다고 할 수 있다.

Comparison Before and After Implementation of Travel Speed in Shoulder-Use Lanes on Expressway (고속도로 갓길차로 운영 전후 소통개선 효과분석)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of the shoulder-use lane, which is a representative traffic management technique that increases the road capacity. The operation of the shoulder-use lane has been actively used as a countermeasure to improve traffic congestion, because it has the effect of improving traffic flow during rush hour. In Korea, the shoulder-use lanes are available at Gyeongbu, Yeongdong, and on the Seoul Outer Ring expressway, and their use is gradually increasing. Therefore, a comprehensive analysis was conducted to analyze the effects of the shoulder-use lane; including 1) analysis of individual shoulder lanes based on a time space diagram, and 2) analysis of shoulder lanes by road axis. These findings can contribute to the efficient installation and operation of shoulder-use lanes on expressways.

  • 교통수단을 효율적으로 잘 활용하는 나라가 세계의 주도권을 행사해 왔다면 지나친 비약이라고 생각하는 사람이 있을지 모르겠으나, 해가 지지않는 나라로 찬란하 문화와 부를 구가했던 영국은 19세기 산업혁명에 의해 세계 최초의 증기 기관차를 개발했고, 20세기초에 들어 세계의 부를 누렸던 미국은 그야말로 자동차의 나라라고 할만큼 많은 자동차를 개발해왔다. 이제 맞이해야 될 21세기의 세계 역시, 어떤 나라가 새로운 교통 system을 개발하느냐 하는것도 관심의 대상이 아닐 수 없다. 앞으로는 지금까지 살아온 세대보다도 더 많은 사람의 교류와 정보의 전달 및 물자의 이동이 필요하기 때문이다. 지금 연구에 박차를 가하고 있는 21세기의 항공분야도 초음속 여객기가 상업화되어 그들의 주장대로 서울에서 Losangeles 간을 4시간대에 비행한든지, 뉴욕과 파리간이 2시간 이내에 비행된다면 세계는 어떻게 변모할 것이며, Europe 대륙에서 영국 Dover 해협을 해저로 통과하는 초고속 열차에 의해 Europe을 한 덩어리로 묶고, Europe 대륙에서 Asia 대륙을 횡단하는 초고속 열차가 실용화된다면 세계는 어떻게 변모 할 것인지를 생각해 볼때, 일일 생활권에 놓인 세계는 사회, 경제, 문화면에서 급속한 변화를 겪게 될 것은 분명하다. 이러한 시대적 변화에 순응하기 위해 우리나라에서도 서울, 부산을 2시간대로 운행 할 수 있는 초고속 열차가 추진되고 있고, 이 서울, 부산간을 축으로 하는 경부 고속전철이 완공된 후 서울에서 광주, 서울에서 강릉을 연결하는 국토종합 개발권의 고속전철이 운행된다면, 지역간 시간적 거리가 단축되고 국토 구조도 많이 변모할 것이며, 행정기관의 지방이전이나 서울 중심의 경제적, 문화적 기능들이 지방으로 많이 분산되어 좁은 국토지만 보다 효율적으로 활용될 것으로 기대된다. 이러한 명제를 안고 추진되는 우리나라의 고속전철사업을 생각하면서 이미 실용화된 선진각국의 고속전철에서 사용되고 있는 중전기기들이 어떻게 응용되고 있는지 살펴보기로 하자.

  • The objectives of this study were to examine the prevalence of gingival recession (GR)and cervical abrasion(CA) and to relate some considered factors to them. We selected 308 subjects, consisting of male 174 and female 134, who had 14 teeth at least. As age increased, the prevalence rates of GR & CA was increased. And both the rates of GR & CA were higher in male than in female. Interestingly, the effect of alcohol consumption was the highest in GR and smoking affected CA highly among several variables. However, we could not prove the direct relationship between drinking & smoking and GR & CA. Only we assumed poor oral hygiene due to drinking & smoking as one of predisposing factors. The result of this study did not show the obvious factor which affected GR and CA greatly. The present study suggested that GR & CA should be related to a number of factors.

  • 교통혼잡의 묘사를 보다 구체적으로 하기 위한 Mesoscopic시뮬레이션 모형으로서 INTEGRATION을 소개한다. 모형의 기본구조가 설명되고, 특히 응용사례로서 경부고속도로 축을 중심으로 한 주거지역의 급속한 팽창으로 야기된 고속도로상의 교통대안을 평가하려는데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 교통대안은 혼잡을 완화시키는데 타당하고 기술적으로도 실현가능한 대안이 제시된다. 이러한 대안들은 거시 및 미시 모의실험모형을 통해 면밀히 분석 평가되며 또한 대안을 도출하고 평가하는 과정의 제시로서 교통량조사에 근거한 OD 도출, Subarea 네트워크 분석 및 통합된 네트워크 모의실험과 같은 새로운 기법들이 아울러 제시된다. 대안의 대부분은 네트워크 개선에 관련한 것이다. 반포 IC 진출입로 공사(Al), 위빙 제거를 기초로 한 서초 IC TSM(A2), 서초-양재 구간의 고속 저속 분리(A3), 헌릉 IC(A4)의 신설, 판교 JC 개선(A5), 백현 IC(A6)신설. 가장 자본 집약적인 대안은 A4, A6순이다. A1, A5, A6은 구간은 짧으나, 자본 집약적이며 어느 정도의 공사 기간이 소요된다. 가장 비용이 적게 소요되는 대안은 A2, A3이다. A2는 시행이 용이하나, A3의 경우 공사기간 중 교통분산 대책이 필요하다. A1, A6은 속도증가와 통행시간 절감의 측면에서 가장 비용대비 효율적인 것으로 분석되었다. 시뮬레이션의 한계 및 개선방안이 함께 검토되었다.

An Effectiveness Analysis of Pilot Enforcement for Overweight Vehicles(Trucks) using High-Speed Weigh-In-Motion System (고속 축중기를 이용한 고속도로 과적 시범단속 시행효과 분석)

  • On January 16 to May 31, 2012, Korea Expressway Corporation was carried out an pilot overweight enforcement using high-speed weigh-in-motion at Gyeongbu expressway 195.0k (Gimcheon) and Jungbunaeryuk expressway 119.5k (Seonsan). In this study, it is attempted to analyze the practical effect of high-speed weigh-in-motion by comparing the average total weight and traffic volume of eight weeks before and after the these overweight enforcement, respectively. The main results are as follows: First, the result of analysis of the change in average total weight and traffic volume, it was found that it did not differ after as in previous traffic volume, and the total weight is reduced. This means that the total weight is not reduced by decreasing freight traffic, but by decreasing the total weight. Therefore, it can be seen that there is an effect of pilot overweight enforcement using high-speed weigh-in-motion. Second, the average total weight and total weekly traffic volume decreased rapidly starting from the start of the overweight enforcement, but there was showing a tendency to increase gradually again.

Deviations of Implant Position between Pre- and Post-operation in Computer-guided Template-based Implant Placement (Computer-guided template를 이용한 임플란트 식립에서 술 전과 술 후 사이의 임플란트 위치에 따른 변위량 검사)

  • With a development of implant restoration technique, there are increasing use of computer-guided system for edentulous patients. It was carried out simulated operation based on CT information about patient's bone quantity, quality and anatomical landmark. However, there are some difference between the programmed implant and post-operative implant about it's position. If the deviation was severe, it could happen a failure of 'passive fit' and not suited for path of implant restoration. The aim of this presentation is to evaluate about a degree of deviations between programmed implant and post-operative implant. Five patients treated by 'NobelGuide' system (Nobel Biocare AB, G$\ddot{o}$teborg, Sweden) in Department of Prosthodontics, Inha University were included in this study. The patients were performed CT radiograph taking and intra-oral impression taking at pre-operation. Based on CT images and study model, surgical stent was produced by NobelBiocareTM. To fabricated a pre-operative study model, after connected lab analog to surgical template, accomplished a pre-operative model using type 4 dental stone. At final impression, a post-operative study model was fabricated in the conventional procedures. Each study model was performed CT radiograph taking. Based on CT images, each implant was simulated in three dimensional position using $Procera^{(R)}$ software (Procera Software Clinical Design Premium, version 1.5; Nobel Biocare AB). In 3D simulated model, length and angulation between each implant of both pre- and post-operative implants were measured and recorded about linear and angular deviation between pre-and post-operative implants. A total of 24 implants were included in this study and 58 inter-implant sites between each implant were measured about linear and angular deviations. In the linear deviation a mean deviation of 0.41 mm (range 0~1.7 mm) was reported. In the angular deviation, a mean deviation was $1.99^{\circ}$ (range $0^{\circ}{\sim}6.7^{\circ}$). It appears that the both linear and angular mean deviation value were well acceptable to application of computer-guided implant system.
