An Experimental Study on the Comparison of Operating Temperatures in Thermal Detector due to Tunnel Fire (터널 화재 시 열감지기 작동 온도의 비교에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Due to the rapid development of construction technology with effective land utilization in this nation, many tunnels were and are being built across the country. However, the smoke and the heat generated from tunnel fire are the most important critical factors which may results in both massive personal injury and property damage, especially, due to the closed surrounding of the tunnel. Considering this particular nature of the tunnels, this study aims to install a fire detection system using an optic fiber cable to measure the temperature changes, compare, and analyze the resulted values with the times of temperature changes of the sensor by performing fire simulations under the same condition as a real fire test. From the results, it has been found that the temperature sensor detects a fire occurrence and generates an alarm within one minute after ignition for both a real fire test and a fire simulation alike, and also that the characteristics of temperature changes of the sensor has close relations with the speeds of the currents inside the tunnel. In addition, considering the tunnel fires can affect the evacuation efficiency and the fire extinguishing activities of the fire brigade inside the tunnel, the temperature sensor must be able to search and find the locations and directions of the fires correctly.

  • In accordance with the revision of the Enforcement Regulations of the High-Pressure Gas Safety Management Act in February 2021, from August 27, 2021, the operation status of safety devices such as gas leak detection and alarm devices, emergency shut-off devices and flame detectors installed at hydrogen vehicle charging stations can be monitored in real time. It is transmitted and operated by the computer system managed by Korea Gas Safety Corporations. We intend to share the results of statistical analysis of abnormal signals that have occurred along with the results of the monitoring system construction so that they can be used for the safety management of hydrogen refueling stations, and to seek future safety management directions.

  • Even after the introduction of Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), many maritime accidents occur. A method of transmitting a rescue signal when a person falls into the water from a ship is currently being researched and developed in various ways, but no products have been developed that use frequencies allocated for maritime mobile service. Accordingly, in this study, we designed and produced a man-over-board (MOB) device by applying Group B AMRD technologies, which were adopted through the latest revision of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). In addition, a receiver and user interface were built to verify the performance of the transmitter, and we confirmed that it can be used in conjunction with existing electronic charts. This MOB device satisfies the general and technical requirements of Group B AMRD using AIS technology and uses integrated components for miniaturization for easy portability in a maritime environment. We expect that it will achieve excellent AIS communication and be essential in rapid response and safety in emergency scenarios.

Characterizing Information Processing in Visual Search According to Probability of Target Prevalence (표적 출현확률에 따른 시각탐색 정보처리 특성)

  • In our daily life, the probability of target prevalence in visual search varies from very low to high. However, most laboratory studies of visual search used a fixed probability of target prevalence at 50%. The present study examined the properties of information processing during visual search where the probability of target prevalence was manipulated to vary from low (20%), medium (50%), to high (80%). The search items were made of simple shape stimuli, and search accuracy, signal detection measures, and reaction times (RTs) were analyzed for characterizing the effect of target prevalence on the information processing strategies for visual search. The analyses showed that the rates of misses increased whereas those of false alarms decreased in the search condition of low target prevalence, whereas the pattern was reversed in the high prevalence condition. Signal detection measures revealed that the target prevalence shifted response criterion (c) without affecting sensitivity (d'). In addition, RTs for correct rejection responses in the target-absent trials became delayed as the prevalence increased, whereas those for hits in the target-present trials were relatively constant regardless of the prevalence. The RT delay in the target-absent trials indicates that increased target prevalence made the 'quitting threshold' for search termination more conservative. These results support an account that the target prevalence effect in visual search arises from a shift of decision criteria and the subsequent changes in search information processing, while rejecting the account of a speed-accuracy tradeoff.

A Study on Candidate Lane Detection using Hybrid Detection Technique (하이브리드 검출기법을 이용한 후보 차선검출에 관한 연구)

  • As more people have cars, the threat of traffic accidents is posed on men and women of all ages. The main culprit of traffic accidents is driving while intoxicated or drowsy. The method to recognize and prevent the cause of traffic accidents is to use lane detection. In this study, a total of 4,000 frames (day image: 2,900 frames, night image: 1,100 frames) were used to test lane detection. According to the test, in the case of day image, when the threshold of Sobel edge detection technique was detected with second-order differential equation, there was the highest candidate lane detection rate which was 86.1%. In the threshold of Canny edge detection technique, the highest detection rate of 88.0% was found at Low=50, and High=300. In the case of night image, the threshold of Sobel edge detection technique, when horizontal calculation and vertical calculation had second-order differential equation, and when horizontal-vertical calculation had 1.5th-order differential equation, there was the highest detection rate which was 83.1%. In the threshold of Canny edge detection technique, the highest detection rate of 89.9% was found at Low=50, and High=300.

  • COSPAS-SARSAT is the search and rescue system for providing a distress alarm and a position identification using an international satellite and ground facilities. Aviators, mariners and land users worldwide are equipped with COSPAS-SARSAT distress beacons, which could help save their in emergency situations anywhere in the world. As the existing COSPAS-SARSAT system is generally operated by LEO(Low-altitude Earth Orbit) Satellite System, the time from the distress beacon to the rescue is more than 1 hour with average and the accuracy of the distress location is about 5 Km. Therefore, in order to overcome this problem, the development for the next generation SAR(search and rescue) system which uses the MEO(middle-altitude Earth Orbit) satellites is going on the Galileo project. EU is developing this project for the full operation capability in 2011, and this project will have SAR payloads and support to the Search and Rescue service-herein called SAR/Galileo. SAR/Galileo will have the performance of a few meter accuracy, within 10 minutes to rescue from reception of distress messages, and Return Link Service(from the SAR operator to the distress emitting beacon), thereby facilitating more efficient rescue operations and helping to reduce the rate of false alerts. As the disaster is larger every year, the ground station, MEOLUT for next generation ASR/Galileo is urgently needed for the lifesaving for the larger disaster, the research for beacon and the ground station such as MEOLUT for introducing the next generation SAR/Galileo in Korea is very timely and is important. This paper presents the procedures and the strategies for the participation, the area to develop reasonably, and the propulsion organization for developing the SAR/Galileo ground system in Korea.

우리나라의 갈릴레오 탐색구조 지상시스템 개발 참여 방안

  • COSPAS-SARSAT 시스템은 위성체와 지상 설비를 이용하여 항공기 또는 선박 등이 조난 시에 탐색구조(SAR: Search and Rescue) 활동을 도울 수 있도록 조난경보와 위치정보를 제공하는 시스템이다. COSPAS-SARSAT 서비스의 경우, 조난신호 접수에서 조난위치확정까지 평균 1시간 이상이 소요되고, 위치정확도가 수 Km 정도로 범위가 넓은 편이다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해서 중궤도 위성을 이용한 차세대 탐색구조 시스템 개발이 추진 중에 있으며 EU에서 2011년 FOC(Full Operation Capability)를 목표로 개발중인 갈릴레오 항법위성 프로젝트의 경우 SAR 중계기를 탑재하여 탐색구조 서비스를 제공할 계획에 있다. 갈릴레오 탐색구조(SAR/Galileo) 서비스는 수 m급의 위치정확도, 10분 이내의 조난신호 접수에서 구조까지 소요시간, 및 조난자에게 회신링크 서비스 제공 등 보다 향상된 탐색구조 성능을 제공하기 위해 개발 중에 있으므로, 갈릴레오 위성 서비스가 시작되면 탐색구조시스템 체계에 보다 신속하고 정확한 구조가 가능할 것으로 예상된다. 우리나라에서는 COSPAS-SARSAT 회원국으로 가입하여 현재 송도 해양경찰청 내에 LEOLUT와 MCC가 설치되어 운용되고 있다. 날로 더해가는 다양한 재난에 대한 인명구조를 신속하고 효과적으로 대처하기 위해 차세대 갈릴레오 탐색구조 지상국 도입이 절실하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서, 탐색구조 단말기를 포함한 지상국 인프라의 구축 등 갈릴레오 탐색구조 지상시스템 개발의 참여 방안에 관한 연구는 매우 시기적절하고 중요한 연구이다. 본 논문은 갈릴레오 사업에 참여하여 SAR/Galileo 개발을 주관하고 있는 중국의 사례를 분석함으로 우리나라가 차세대 갈릴레오 탐색구조 지상시스템 개발에 참여하기 위해서 필요한 참여방법 및 절차 등을 도출하고, 참여 가능한 개발범위, 참여전략 및 추진체계에 대해서 제안한다.법의 성능을 평가를 위하여 원본 여권에서 얼굴 부분을 위조한 여권과 기울어진 여권 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법이 여권의 코드 인식 및 얼굴 인증에 있어서 우수한 성능이 있음을 확인하였다.진행하고 있다.태도와 유아의 창의성간에는 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났고, 일반 유아의 아버지 양육태도와 유아의 창의성간의 상관에서는 아버지 양육태도의 성취-비성취 요인에서와 창의성제목의 추상성요인에서 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 창의성이 높은 아동의 아버지의 양육태도는 일반 유아의 아버지와 보다 더 애정적이며 자율성이 높지만 창의성이 높은 아동의 집단내에서 창의성에 특별한 영향을 더 미치는 아버지의 양육방식은 발견되지 않았다. 반면 일반 유아의 경우 아버지의 성취지향성이 낮을 때 자녀의 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상에서 자녀의 창의성을 향상시키는 중요한 양육차원은 애정성이나 비성취지향성으로 나타나고 있어 정서적인 측면의 지원인 것으로 밝혀졌다.징에서 나타나는 AD-SR맥락의 반성적 탐구가 자주 나타났다. 반성적 탐구 척도 두 그룹을 비교 했을 때 CON 상호작용의 특징이 낮게 나타나는 N그룹이 양적으로 그리고 내용적으로 더 의미 있는 반성적 탐구를 했다용을 지원하는 홈페이지를 만들어 자료 제공 사이트에 대한 메타 자료를 데이터베이스화했으며 이를 통해 학생들이 원하는 실시간 자료를 검색하여 찾을 수 있고 홈페이지를 방분했을 때 이해하기 어려운 그래프나 각 홈페이지가 제공하는 자료들에 대한 처리 방법을 도움말로 제공받을 수 있게 했다. 실시간 자료들을 이용한 학습은 학생들의 학습 의욕과 탐구 능력을 향상시켰으며 컴퓨터 활용 능력과 외국어 자료 활용 능력을 향상 시키는데도 도움을 주었다.지역산업 발전을 위한 기술역량이 강화될 것이다.정 ${\rightarrow}$ 분배 ${\rightarrow}$ 최대다수의 최대행복이다.는 역할을 한다. 따라

  • This paper suggests a system that can detect malfunctions of the temperature testing equipment, and then notify this information to surroundings using arduino. Precision electronics need a test under extremely high/low temperature using temperature called a chamber. If this chamber have a malfunction situation, the precision electronics under test is damaged and scrapped. Especially when the temperature test is automatically conducted at night with no representative, this system monitors the actual temperature of the tested product in real-time by attaching a temperature sensor to the inside of the test equipment. In case when it is out of the temperature range set up by the tester, the damage to high-priced products can be prevented in the condition of extremely high/low temperature, by turning off the power of the temperature testing equipment, and also notifying this information to the worker at night-time. Regardless of the equipment manufacturers, proposed system in this paper can be applied to all kind of temperature testing equipments, and it can be also produced for low cost.

Development and Field Test of a Smart-home Gas Safety Management System (스마트 홈 가스안전관리 시스템 개발 및 현장시험)

  • In this paper, we proposed a system and a scenario to raise efficiency of gas safety management by developing wireless ZigBee communication modules, smart-home gas safety appliances and the system suitable for gas safety. Our designed system consists of a micom gas meter, an automatic extinguisher, sensors, and a wall-pad. A micom-gas-meter monitors gas flow, gas pressure, and earthquake. An automatic fire extinguisher checks combustible gas leaks and temperature of $100^{\circ}C$(cut off) and $130^{\circ}C$(fire). Sensors measure smoke and CO gas. In our novel system, a micom-gas meter cut off inner valve with warnings, an automatic fire extinguisher cut off middle valve and spray extinguishing materials, and sensors generate signals when detecting smoke and CO and then take a next action. Gas safety appliances and sensors automatically takes measures, and transmit those information to a wall-pad. The wall-pad again transmits real time information to server. Users can check and manage gas safety situations by connecting BcN server through web or mobile application. We hereby devised scenarios for gas safety and risk management based on the smart, and demonstrated their efficiency through test applied to filed.

Our designed systems configure a micom-gas meter, an automatic extinguisher, sensors, and a wallpad. A micom-gas-meter monitors gas flow, gas pressure, and earthquake. An automatic fire extinguisher checks gas(combustible) leaks and temperature of $100^{\circ}C$ and $130^{\circ}C$. Sensors measure smoke and CO gas. In our novel system, a micom-gas meter cut off inner valve with warnings, an automatic fire extinguisher cut off middle valve and spray extinguishing materials, and sensors generate signals for smoke and CO when occurring gas risk. Gas safety appliances and sensors takes safety measures, and transmit those signal to a wallpad. The wallpad again transmit signal like events to a control server. Users can connect web pages for gas safety through B-ISDN and control and manage them. We hereby devised scenarios for gas safety and risk management, and demonstrated their effectiveness through experiments.
