Estimation of Rotor Position at Standstill of Switched Reluctance Motor Using Squared Euclidean Distance (유클리디안 제곱거리를 이용한 스위치드 릴럭턴스 모터의 정지 시 회전자 위치 추정법)

  • In this paper, an estimation technique of initial rotor position at standstill in Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) is proposed. In case search coils are used as a position sensor, it has many advantages like low cost, decrease in the volume, high robust characteristics and wide applications. However, the initial rotor position detection is very difficult because the search coil's EMF is not exist at a standstill. In this paper, a near estimation method of initial rotor position is suggested using squared Euclidean distance. The simulation and experiment for the proposed method are achieved. The validity of the proposed method is verified by experimental results.

  • 위치기반서비스 시스템에서 가장 기본이 되는 요소는 사용자의 위치를 정확히 측정하는 것이다. 본 논문은 삼각 측량법을 이용한 전자캠퍼스를 위한 옥내 측위 시스템 구현 사례를 소개한다. 캠퍼스에는 일반적으로 무선 LAN이 설치되어 있다. 본 측위 시스템의 측위 방법은 무선 LAN의 액세스 포인트(AP)로부터 수신된 신호의 RSSI를 이용하여 AP까지의 거리를 추정하고, 이 거리들을 바탕으로 삼각 측량법을 이용하여 사용자의 위치를 추정한다. 구현한 측위 시스템의 성능을 검증하기 위한 실험 결과도 소개한다.

Position Estimation of MBK system for non-Gaussian Underwater Sensor Networks (비가우시안 노이즈가 존재하는 수중 환경에서 MBK 시스템의 위치 추정)

  • This paper study the position estimation of MBK system according to the non-linear filter for non-Gaussian noise in underwater sensor networks. In the filter to estimate location, recently, the extended Kalman filter (EKF) and particle filter are getting attention. EKF is widely used due to the best algorithm in the Gaussian noise environment, but has many restrictions on the usage in non-Gaussian noise environment such as in underwater. In this paper, we propose the improved One-Dimension Particle Filter (ODPF) using the distribution re-interpretation techniques based on the maximum likelihood. Through the simulation, we compared and analyzed the proposed particle filter with the EKF in non-Gaussian underwater sensor networks. In the case of both the sufficient statistical sample and the sufficient calculation capacity, we confirm that the ODPF's result shows more accurate localization than EKF's result.

Time Delay Traceback Scheme for Performance Enhancement of TDOA Location Estimation in NLOS Environment (NLOS 환경에서 TDOA 위치 추정 성능 향상을 위한 시간 지연 역추적 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a Time Delay Traceback Scheme for the TDOA location estimation performance enhancement in NLOS environment and analyze the performance in various conditions. We place multiple readers in a square($300m{\times}300m$) searching area for reuse of received signal. Also, we use more active NLOS reader detection methode for NLOS error mitigation. when NLOS time delay 70 m, the number of the NLOS reader is 3 and the received sub-blinks number 3, proposed time delay trace-back scheme improve the RMSE about 16 m. From these results, we confirm that the proposed time delay traceback scheme is well-suited for the high precision location estimation to offer the location based service.

Design and Implementation of Testbed for Cooperative Localization using Area Reduction Method (영역 축소 기법을 이용한 협력 위치추정 테스트베드 설계 및 구현)

  • In this study, we designed and implemented testbed for localization algorithm by using a area reduction method in outdoor environment. The proposed algorithm used 3 steps of area reduction method, which estimated blind nodes position. Also, we have experimented with using a Zigbee module for 5 fixed reference nodes and 4 blind nodes in sensor field of $60m{\times}23m$. The results show that our algorithm is improved the localization accuracy even at the number of ref. node is fixed and the number of blind node is increased. In future research, we will be adding the function of seamless localization in indoor and NLOS(non-line of sight) environment.

  • Concerns and demands for the Location Based Services (LBS) using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Wi-Fi are largely increased in the world in the present. In some experimental results, it was noted that many errors are frequently occurred when the distances between an anchor node and a mobile node acre measured in indoor localization environment of Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN). In this paper, localization compensation algorithm based on maximum measurement value ($LCA_{MMV}$) for moving objects in WPAN is proposed, and the performance of the algorithm is analyzed by experiments on three scenarios for movement of mobile nodes. From the experiments, it was confirmed that the average localization accuracy of suggested algorithm was more increased than Symmetric Double-Sided Two-Way Ranging (SDS-TWR) and triangulation as average 40.9cm, 77.6cm and 6.3cm, respectively on scenario 1-3.

  • Most deep learning (DL) approaches for bridge damage localization based on a structural health monitoring system commonly use supervised learning-based DL models. The supervised learning-based DL model requires the response data obtained from sensors on the bridge and also the label which indicates the damaged state of the bridge. However, it is impractical to accurately obtain the label data in fields, thus, the supervised learning-based DL model has a limitation in that it is not easily applicable in practice. On the other hand, an unsupervised learning-based DL model has the merit of being able to train without label data. Considering this advantage, this study aims to propose and theoretically validate a damage localization approach for bridges using a variational autoencoder, a representative unsupervised learning-based DL network: as a result, this study indicated the feasibility of VAE for damage localization.

The Relative Position Estimate of the Moving Distributed Sources Using the Doppler Scanning Technique (도플러 스캐닝 기법을 이용한 이동하는 다중 음원의 상대 위치 추적 기법)

  • This paper presents the Doppler Scanning technique which enables us to detect the relative positions of moving distributed sources using Doppler frequency shift estimate when the moving source consists of distributed sources with different signature frequencies. Doppler frequency shifts of characteristic frequencies of machinery noise sources such as ship's generator and propeller, with tine along CPA (Closest Point of Approach of moving source) are unique, and can be functioned with respect to each source position. Therefore, this technique can be applied to estimate the relative geometrical positions between machinery noise sources. The Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) which has a high frequency resolution with high time resolution, is adopted for improving accuracy of Doppler frequency shift estimate geometric resolution of machinery positions since machinery noise sources show in general low frequency band characteristics with limited spacial distance. The performance of the technique is examined by the numerical simulations and is verified by the experiment using loudspeaker sources on the roof of the car.

Damage Estimation of Bridge Using Vibration Data Caused by Ordinary Traffic Loadings (교통하중에 의한 상시진동기록을 이용한 교량의 손상추정기법)

  • 본 연구에서는 차량하중에 의한 상시진동기록을 이용한 교량의 손상추정기법을 연구하였다. 즉, 차량진행 중 측정된 신호로부터 구조물의 모드특성을 구하고, 이를 이용하여 손상위치 및 손상정도를 추정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안기법의 검증을 위하여 차량하중을 재하할 수 있는 모형교량을 제작하여 손상실험을 수행하였다. 차량진행 중 교량의 수직가속도를 계측하였으며, 측정된 가속도시계열로부터 random decrement(RD) 기법을 사용하여 자유진동신호를 구한 후, 이로부터 구조물의 모드특성을 추정하였다. 추정된 모드특성을 기초로 신경망기법을 적용하여 손상위치 및 손상정도를 추정하였으며, 추정된 결과는 실제 손상과 비교적 잘 일치하였다.

Performance evaluation for the channel estimation of LMS adaptive algorithm using pilot symbols for IMT-2000 system (IMT-2000 시스템의 파일럿 심볼을 이용한 LMS 적응형 채널추정 알고리즘의 성능 평가)

  • 이 논문은 레일레이 감쇄 채널 환경에서 IMT-2000 파일럿 심볼 구조의 W-CDMA 시스템 역방향 링크의 채널 추정에 관한 LMS 적용형 알고리즘 성능을 WMSA(Weighted Multi-Slot Averaging)(K=1,2,3), 일정 추정이득 (Constant estimation gain) 및 RLS 알고리즘 성능과 비교 분석하였다. 이 논문의 모형은 IMT-2000 3GPP 규격의 W-CDMA 채널 구조, 변조 및 파일럿 패턴을 이용하였다. 파일럿 심볼 위치의 채널추정은 LMS 알고리즘을 이용하고 데이터 심볼 위치의 채널보상은 선형 보간으로 수행하였다. 저속 도플러 주파수에서는 WMSA(K=1,2,3) 성능이 일정 추정이득, RLS 및 LMS 적응형 알고리즘 성능보다 우수하며, WMSA(K=1) 성능의 경우 일정 추정이득, RLS 및 LMS 적응형 알고리듬 성능과는 큰 차이가 없다. 그리고 LMS 알고리즘 성능은 WMSA(K=1) 성능과 매우 비슷한 결과를 얻었다. 그러나 도플러 주파수가 고속화될수록 LMS 알고리즘의 성능이 WMSA(K=1), 일정 추정이득 및 RLS 알고리즘 성능보다 우수함을 확인하였다.
