  • In this research, characteristic properties of gel time and homo gel strength of liquid chemical grouting material for soil grouting using non-cement binder(NCB) were measured according to kinds of liquid B's Binders, W/B of liquid B's Binders and the volume ratio between liquid A and liquid B in order to examine on the applicability of soil grouting material using non-cement binder. The test was performed using NCB-1, NCB-2, NCB-3 which are environment-friendly inorganic binders developed by means of collaboration by our research team and which are different from chemical composition ratio each other. In conclusion, it was found that NCB could be applied to liquid soil grouting material using non-cement binder and replace ordinary portland cement, because NCB had the most excellent performance in certain section of gel time and homo gel strength in condition of this experiment.

  • This study reviewed the use of soil injection materials using circulating resources as injection materials for the steel pipe multi-stage construction method. The tests performed were homogel time and homogel compressive strength. The steel pipe multi-stage construction method is an auxiliary construction method for tunnels, and the expression of initial strength after construction is an important factor. The better the strength development in the initial stage, the more it can be used as an injection material suitable for the multi-stage steel pipe construction method. As a result of laboratory test, it was found that the homogel time of the injection material using circulating resources required more time than the mixing ratio using cement as the injection material. In addition, it was found that the initial strength curing time satisfying 2MPa was required for more than 24 hours. Therefore, it was confirmed that the injection material using recycled resources required a longer initial curing time than cement of the same mixing ratio.

  • SSG (self-healing smart grouting) method, which is developed recently, has the characteristics such as an improvement of durability and waterproofing, prevention of leaching and pollution. In this study, we performed several tests such as gel-time measurement, uniaxial compression test, permeability test, fish poison test and chemical resistance test to compare the engineering properties of SSG with the other chemical grouting method (LW, SGR). As results of tests, the SSG method has low possibility of groundwater and ground pollution caused by leaching, furthermore, it has advantages like long/short term waterproofing, strength and durability. Therefore the SSG method can be applicable in the fields as an alternative of existing chemical grouting methods with problems.
