Development of golf robot as entertainment using AVR Technology (AVR 기술을 활용한 엔터테인먼트용 골프로봇 개발)

  • Robot has been developed as something to help human beings, and robot will be very important field as an entertainment. This paper intends to contribute to developing golf robot for entertainment using AVR technology. It is believed that the entertaining robot giving a pleasure to human beings has good prospects for the rapid growth along with other robot industry. Golf robot developed in this paper has been developed for entertainment and has a similar sense in comparison with the real golf. This golf robot is represented in the way of putting the ball in the hall by hitting the ball just like the actual golf game and putting through making robot come close to the ball with the putting robot. This golf robot can play a game with several people like the acture golf if many putting robots can be used. It is, therefore considered that the development of golf robots for entertainment using AVR has a high value of the golf robot as an entertainer on the ground that it can play a real golf.

  • Cellular network evolution and development of multi-function cellular phones introduce new mobile business mode. Cellular operators provide mobile internet services using the mobile browser such as ME and WAP and the mobile multimedia platform such as WIPI, J2ME, and BREW. New mobile applications are developed using mobile platforms provided by cellular operators as cellular phones having multimedia solutions such as camera, MP3, MPEG, 3D game engine, DMB, PAN such as bluetooth, IrDA, W-LAN, and location information using GPS are developed. Content providers have problems of redevelopment of a mobile application for different mobile platforms. In this paper, we propose a conversion solution for interoperability of applications developed on different mobile platforms of WIPI and BREW. We analyze APIs of WIPI and BREW and develop conversion solutions.

  • The interest in the service of 3D mobile contents becomes larger due to the technological advance of production and services of mobile contents and the appearance of the exclusive mobile phone for 3D game. Therefore, the researches about the efficient mobile services of large 3D contents are wanted in the circumstances of the narrow bandwidth and the burden of the connection charge of wireless mobile communications. In this paper, we suggest a strategy of caching for looking up and downloading the 3D marine characters efficiently and a system model for mobile service of 3D marine characters. The suggested system is designed for serving efficiently the high-quality 3D characters through the wireless mobile communications using the database on the 3D marine objects of cyber aquarium constructed for the services through the wired internet.

초등영어교육에 있어서 발음교육

  • 우리 나라에서 초등영어 교육이 실시되는 연령층이 언어습득 분야에 있어 그렇게 일찍 언어학습을 시작하는 것이 학습효율성의 측면 또는 언어숙달도 측면에서 과연 이로운지에 관해서는 학자들간에 아직도 논쟁의 여지가 많다. 피아제의 인지발달론에 의하면, 의식적 조작이 잘 이루어지지 않는 분야가 바로 발 음분야이기 때문에, 따라서 의식적 조작이 이루어지는 '형식적 조작기'이전인 10-11세 정도에서부터 음성언어 중심의 외국어 교육을 실시하는 것이 바람직하다고 본다. 따라서 듣기와 말하기의 기능에 주안점을 둔 초등영어 교육은 감각과 놀이, 게임, 노래나 챈트 둥으로 흥미를 지속시키면서, 영어의 특질인 강세박자리듬언어(stress-timed rhythm language)의 특성올 초창기부터 듣기 및 말하기 훈련으로 지속적으로 연습시킬 필요가 있다고 본다. 또한 James Asher가 창안한 교수법인 천신반용볍(Total Physical Response)도 초기에 말하기에 대한 부담감 없이 흥미 있는 활동을 통하여 학습동기를 높여줄 수 있는 장점을 지니고 었다. 뿐만 아니라, 청취단계에 있어서 초기에는 귀로들은 외국어를 무조건 기억하지 않고 즉각적인 인지로 끌어내어, 점차 이와 같은 인지훈련을 반복함으로써 결국에는 기억에까지 도달하려 하는 초기학습에 중한 역할을 차지하는 학습법이다. 음성학적인 측면에서 초동영어 교육의 시작단계인 3학년에서는 특히 분절음소 차원에서 영어의 자,모음이 우리말의 자,모음과는 다르다는 차이점을 배우게 되고, 초분절 음소 중에서는 강세와 리듬의 차이를 자연스럽게 습득할 수 있도록 정확한 발음을 들려주어 정확한 발음을 해 낼 수 있도록 훈련하는 것이 중요하다고 하겠다. 하지만, 한편으로는 제6차 교육과정의 영어교육 목표가 언어의 '정확성'보다는 '유창성' 에 그 목표를 두고 있는 점을 감안한다면, 시작단계부터 반드시 정확한 발음을 지녀야 하는 가의 문제도 생각해 볼 필요가 있다. 경우에 따라서는, 정확한 발음은 그 언어에 대한 숙련도가 점차 높아짐에 따라 이와 병행하여 이루어지는 경우도 흔히 경험하는 일이기 때문이다. 결국 초등영어 교육과정에도 명시되어 있듯이 '...영어에 대한 친숙함과 자신감을 심어주고, 영어에 대한 흥미와 관심을 지속적으로 유지시키는 것이 중요하기' 때문에 무엇보다 중요한 측면은 흥미와 관심을 유지시키는 지적인 학습활동보다는 정의적인 학습활동의 전개가 필요하다고 하겠다.

  • 3D rendering is a critical process for a movie production, advertisement, interior simulation, medical and many other fields. Recently, several effective rendering methods have been developed for the photo-realistic image generation. With a rapid performance enhancement of graphics hardware, physically based 3D rendering algorithm can now often be approximated in real-time games. However, the high quality of global illumination, required for the image generation in the 3D animation production community is a still very expensive process. In this paper, we propose a new rendering method to create photo-realistic global illumination effect efficiently by harnessing the high power of the recent GPUs. Final gathering routines in our global illumination module are accelerated by programmable graphics hardware. We also simulate physically based light transport on a ray tracing based rendering algorithm with photon mapping effectively.

  • In this paper, we develop a vibration system which can generate diverse vibration effects in realtime by analyzing signals from the sound output of PC. This system is able to detect the occurrences of particular sounds in order to generate corresponding pre-programmed vibration patterns. It contributes to the improvement of the reality and the immersiveness of games and virtual reality applications. In addition, its advantage is to easily add vibration features to applications which were originally developed without consideration for vibration. Our system consists of an external DSP board for signal processing and a vibration pad which can be put on wrists. It is superior to other sound-driven vibration devices because its DSP board can detect more diverse sounds, has higher performance and does not interfere with PC. Also the wrist-wearable vibration pad is able to generate more realistic vibration than other mouse or joystick type devices.

  • Education focus on cultivating creative talent in the rapidly changing knowledge and Information society. Algorithms of computer science students to logical thinking and problem solving to find the best solution is an effective learning content. But the algorithm often educate at the University of reality when considering the level of elementary school students' cognitive structure and it is very important for teaching. In this study, based on the principle of the algorithm with an educational content for students to understand the principles of their own problems as the best way to resolve the situation with the ability to want to kidney. Content that contains elements of the game interesting for students to participate actively interested in effective teaching methods to the understanding of the principles of the algorithm will be a big help.

  • 본 논문에서는 하이퍼그래프의 고유벡터를 척도로 하여 fMRI기반 Brain Network를 분석하여 중요한 허브노드를 찾는 방법론을 제시한다. 이 방법을 비디오게임을 수행하면서 촬영한 기능적 자기뇌영상(fMRI) 데이터인 PBAIC 2007 데이터셋에 대하여 그 유용성을 검증하였다. 이 데이터는 각 20분씩 세 세션을 촬영한 것이며 처음 두 세션에는 13가지의 감정 항목의 평가치가 각 스캔마다 주어진다. 한 피험자의 첫번째 세션 데이터로부터 13가지 감정 항목에 대하여 상관관계가 높은 각각의 복셀(voxel)들을 추출하였다. 이 13가지의 복셀들의 집합들을 각각 하이퍼에지로 보고 하이퍼그래프를 구성하였다. 하이퍼그래프로부 터 인접 행렬(adjacency matrix)를 구성한 후 고유치(eigenvalue)와 고유벡터(eigenvector)를 구하였다. 여기서 고유치가 가장 큰 고유벡터의 원소들은 각 복셀들의 중앙성(centrality), 즉 중요성을 나타내며 이로부터 감정과 관련된 중요한 허브 복셀들과 그들의 국소적 집합인 모듈을 찾았다. 모듈들은 감정 및 작업기억(working memory)과 관련된 뇌 영역들의 클러스터(cluster)로 추정된다.

  • Widgets are the instrument for representing user's character and embossing the value of blogs. The compound word of the Windows and Gadget the application, widgets are the functional program to displayed on the screen graphical user interface (GUI) tools as a kind of service that user want to see. On the operating system, the Web, and mobile area, widgets offer the delivery of information, convenience and efficiency. However widgets have been never gave satisfaction to user because it focused transmitting information and representing circumstance than fun. This study is for recognized fun elements that user feel interest and categorized fun elements each type of widgets. Fun elements of widget never been defined, we use fun elements on design and product area and emotional word that is representative of affectivity. And we make up an online questionnaire to blog users. The widget selected by popular degree among the domestic widgets and the Japanese widget. And the results of the questionnaire that 5-scales used based on user preferences to identify the elements that are fun.

  • With the aid of the increasing interests of Context-aware Augmented Reality Agent (AR Agent), various researches of AR Agent have been performed to explore the possibility of the agent as novel interface and the entity responding autonomously by user's input. However, in previous works, AR Agents are lack of specific method for using various contextual information. To revolve around those problems, we propose the Behavior Generation System for Context-aware AR Agent using layered architecture. Based on Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) model and Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) searching, the sequence of agent behavior has been selected in behavior planning layer. Then, the agent evaluates appropriateness of behaviors using previous behavior and the type of input before activation. This behavior generation system can be applied for edutainment, game, and assistant agent, which need intuitive and effective behaviors to convey information. Through this research, we expect that the Context-aware AR Agent could support for not only information delivery, but also the capability of effective communication for user.
