A Study on the Design by using Digital Media of the General Hospital (디지털 미디어를 이용한 종합병원 디자인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the design by using digital media the general hospital. The important result and advantage of the study are as follows; At first, applicability and maintenance of form and function design are enhanced and the digital media could be used for development of better and economical design. Secondly, the 3D CAD system useful for communication media and instructional tool for hospital planners and designers. Thirdly, fast and economical evaluation are obtained through the study of experimental simulation. Finally as a new tool in architectural field, the system helps to enhance the relationship between digital media and human. New concept and tools of hospital design are being developed in terms of its function, environment, and psychology. The computational design system should be improved for user friendly in the future.

A Proposal of a Shape Matching and Geo-referencing method for Building Features in Construction CAD Data to Digital Map using a Vertex Attributed String Matching algorithm (VASM 알고리즘을 이용한 건축물 CAD 자료의 수치지도 건물 객체와의 형상 정합 및 지도좌표 부여 방법의 제안)

  • An integration between construction CAD data and GIS data needs geo-referencing processes of construction CAD data whose coordinate systems are their own native or even unknown. Generally, these processes are based on manually detected conjugate-vertices. In this study, we proposed an semi-automated conjugate -vertices detection method for building features between construction CAD data and a digital map using a vertex attributed string matching algorithm. A geo-referencing function for construction CAD data based on the similarity transform could be derived with those conjugate-vertices. Using our proposed method, we overlaid geo-referenced CAD data to a digital map of the College of Engineering, Seoul National University and evaluated our method.

  • By preservation of vegetation landscape in urban park, the uniqueness and attractiveness of a city can be created and maintained. In this study, the CAD simulation of Dwangju Park was implemented, and it was proved that CAD simulation can be used to preserve the vegetation landscape and to regulate the building construction. But, when simulated short range vegetation landscape, such as the position, height and forms of trees, vegetation structure, dtc., are can be important factors. And, the method of suveying and presenting trees in CAD for efficient simulation are need to be sutdied futher.

BIM-based Efficiency Review of Barrier Free Certification Items (장애물 없는 생활환경(BF)인증 항목의 BIM기반 효율성 검토)

  • This study conducted a survey for BIM experts as a basic study to improve the efficiency of a BIM-based review of the BF certification evaluation method. By limiting the buildings to elementary schools, the first survey was conducted to extract the mandatory facilities from the BF certification evaluation items according to the evaluation criteria, and 63 out of a total of 94 evaluation items were extracted. The extracted facilities were intermediary facilities, internal facilities, and sanitary facilities. The second survey provided detailed calculation criteria for BF certification evaluation items, and through investigating the possibility of BIM-based review, 31 items were derived. In the 3rd and final survey, when asked about the effectiveness of the current CAD-based and BIM-based evaluation methods, the BIM-based evaluation method showed 96.8% effectiveness and the CAD-based evaluation method showed 3.2% effectiveness.

  • A lot of construction companies in overseas markets of construction try to change 2D CAD to 3D CAD for improving business ability and change to Building Information Modeling(BIM) for integrating information produced from construction life cycle. In America, GSA(General Service Administration) requires a design drawing planed by BIM and in Singapore and Europe, the government encourages architectures to use this tool. Recently in the domestic market, many organizations related construction industry are aware of importance of 3D CAD integrated information, and try to use BIM. Therefore, this research would analyze how does BIM affect construction industry and derive influence factors and provide basic data for using BIM.

  • To design a drawing at construction sites or ship yards, generally, they exploit CAD program, such as AutoCAD. They also carry the printed drawings in the fields in order to refer the designs. However, the printed designs are easy to be damaged. In this paper, we propose the design of a management system for the CAD drawings on top of the smart operating systems of a smart device. The proposed system exploits the index file based on the Fixed GRID file in order to improve the display speed of the drawings.

  • This research is renewal way to get latest digital map, We presented techniques to convert to GIS data for update digital map to utilize completion drawing of CAD data that is used construction and SOC construction. Conversion process is consisted of layer extraction, object transform, coordinate transform, format transform. GIS data that is changed via each process from CAD data can update digital map.

  • The use of Pre-processor for building structural analysis used to rely upon filling up fixed format data, which was ineffective and error-prone. This research attempts to integrate structural analysis system with DBMS and CAD system in order to make it easy to exchange data between pre-process, analysis, and post-process stages. Automatic generation of database from pre-process stage allows easy preparation of main input data for other structural analysis programs. CAD system with some sub-programs written in LISP and C works as a graphic user interface. This approach gives an easy, effective and error-free way of inputing data for structural analysis.

  • Plant project is a complex project that consists of civil engineering, building, mechanical and electronic works. The schedule management is one of important factors in plant project because the construction duration of the project is very short comparing with the other construction projects. Specially, 4D CAD system needs to visualize construction schedule information in those complex projects. This study suggests methodologies for improving 4D CAD functions by considering those project characteristics. To develop a plant 4D CAD system, this study includes to develop new functions by analyzing actual schedule information from the plant construction sites.
