대한주택공사에서는 지역 여건에 맞는 쾌적한 단지조성과 최대한의 실내 공간 확보를 위한 주거환경개선사업의 일환으로 인천 송현지구에 대한 현상설계경기를 실시, 지난 2월 15일 무영종합건축(안길원+손광민)안을 최우수작으로 선정, 발표했다. 총 8개 사무소에서 작품을 제출한 이번 설계경기의 우수작에 장건축(오택길)안이, 가작으로는 다원건축(김영택)안이 각각 선정됐다.

근로복지공단에서는 근로자들의 복지증진을 위해 체육문화시설과 함께 영유아보육시설건립 현상설계경기를 실시하여 두우건축(박용수+손태옥)안을 당선작으로 선정, 발표했다. 총 8개 사무소에서 작품을 제출한 이 설계경기의 우수작은 아키텍건축안이, 가작에는 시ㆍ즘건축안이 각각 선정됐다. 본지에서는 당선작을 게재한다.

부산광역시 강서구에서는 지방화 시대 개막에 따른 최상의 행정서비스를 제공하기 위해 구청사 설계를 현상 공모한 결과 총 7개 작품 중 세진건축안을 당선작으로 선정, 지난 6월 2일 발표했다. 이번 설계경기의 우수작으로는 중원건축안이, 가작으로는 가인건축안이 각각 선정됐다. 당선작과 우수작을 게재한다.

오랜만에 지난 작업들을 뒤돌아 볼 기회가 생겼습니다. 누구에게나 인생의 큰 흐름에 영향을 미치는 사건이 일어나기 마련인데요, 저의 경우는 지난 근 십년간 함께 해온 파라메트릭 디자인을 접하게 된 일이 그러한 사건들 중 하나였다고 생각이 됩니다. 그런 의미에서 트레이싱지 위에 로트링펜으로 선을 처음 그었던 그 강렬했던 기억 이후로 건축 설계를 해오면서 가장 기억에 남는 한 사건을 꼽으려고 한다면 단연히 Cornell 건축 대학원 재학 당시 처음 접하게 되었던 GenerativeComponents 수업을 이야기 하고 싶습니다. 연재를 시작하면서 잠시 언급한 바가 있었던 것 같은데요, 파라메트릭 디자인이라는 미지의 영역을 알게 해준 것이 바로 Bentley 사에서 만든 GenerativeComponents 라는 파라메트릭 디자인 툴 입니다. Microstation은 Autocad와 함께 건축설계 시장에서 많은 사용자층을 확보 하였던 캐드 툴 중 하나 이었으며 자체적으로 BIM 및 파라메트릭 툴을 위한 패키지가 Rhino의 Grasshopper의 출현 이전부터 존재하여 왔을 정도로 발전된 자동화 설계 플랫폼이었습니다. 현재도 특정 건축사사무소들이 Microstation을 꾸준히 사용하고 있으며 특히 Infra structure, plant나 civil engineering 등의 건축 외 설계 분야에서는 여전히 폭넓은 사용자층을 확보하고 있습니다. 하지만 건축 시장에서는 Rhino를 바탕으로 하는 플러그인 패키지 및 Autodesk의 건축설계 통합 패키지 등에 밀려서 사용자층이 얇아진 편입니다.

지난 8월 13일 중랑구립도서관의 현상설계 당선작이 발표되었다. 총 15개 건축사사무소가 작품을 제출한 이번 설계경기는 (주)듀엘인터내셔널건축(오용석,김진권)안이 당선작으로 선정되었으며, 민가건축(김석순)과 서울, 진우, 시공, 필건축(정규식)안이 각각 가작으로 선정되었다. 정보화, 자치화 시대를 맞이하여 지역주민을 위한 각종 자료의 열람 및 정보를 제공하여 주민의 평생교육의 장으로 활용하고 문화공간의 역할과 기능을 다할 수 있는 도서관을 건립한다는 목표로 실시된 이번 현상설계는 연면적이 1,000평이며, 예정공사비는 36억6천만원이 소요될 예정이다. 당선된 (주)듀엘인터내셔널 건축사사무소에게는 기본 및 실시설계권이 부여되며(설계비 : 177,610천원)이 도서관은 오는 98년 완공 예정이다.

In spite of various approaching method to satisfy with the owner's requirements in schematic design phase, it is insufficient to evaluate intermediate process of design arithmetically with participating in design process. So the numerous changes of design after completion of design development cause a lot of loss to the design company. The designer arranges owner's requirements to prevent from this loss at the initial stage of schematic design phase systematically and lets owner and stakeholder to evaluate the value of schematic design to satisfy with owner's and stakeholder's requirements. If the evaluated value for schematic design is above a definite value index, the next design phase should be advanced. By this method, the design company can reduce the additional expenses remarkably by preventing with re-design which is occurred by not reflecting owner's intention or by changing owner's intention. Also the designer have the owner to evaluate the result of design and construction. The designer let the owner know whether the owner's requirement should well have been reflected on drawing or not. There is a strong point to be able to minimize the criticism which can be occurred after completion of construction by evaluating for owner's satisfactory degree and by having owner and designer confirm the result of design and construction arithmetically. This paper presents that the loss of design company can be minimized by going over at next step if the value is over a definite value index after evaluating value for each design from design process.
