An Investigation on the Existing Literature to Prevent Fire Spread of High-rise Buildings (고층 건축물의 화재확대방지를 위한 기존 문헌 조사)

  • In Korea, starting with the Busan residential-commercial fire in 2010, the frequency of fire expansion in high-rise buildings has been continuously increasing. In the case of such large-scale fires, most of the fires generated from the inside tend to expand to the upper floors by riding the exterior material or exterior wall panels through the process of being ejected to the outside. It has been revised so that combustible exterior materials cannot be used in buildings. However, due to the legal fluoride level, the fire risk of high-rise buildings is still high, such as the case of a 33-story residential-commercial fire in Ulsan. In order to prevent such fire expansion, it is considered that it is necessary to first understand the nature of the fire occurring inside and the mechanism of the fire expansion in the upper floor. The purpose of this study is to propose improvements in domestic fire safety design through a review of existing literature to prevent fire expansion of high-rise buildings.

Electrical fire prediction model study using machine learning (기계학습을 통한 전기화재 예측모델 연구)

  • Although various efforts have been made every year to reduce electric fire accidents such as accident analysis and inspection for electric fire accidents, there is no effective countermeasure due to lack of effective decision support system and existing cumulative data utilization method. The purpose of this study is to develop an algorithm for predicting electric fire based on data such as electric safety inspection data, electric fire accident information, building information, and weather information. Through the pre-processing of collected data for each institution such as Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, Meteorological Administration, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, Fire Defense Headquarters, convergence, analysis, modeling, and verification process, we derive the factors influencing electric fire and develop prediction models. The results showed insulation resistance value, humidity, wind speed, building deterioration(aging), floor space ratio, building coverage ratio and building use. The accuracy of prediction model using random forest algorithm was 74.7%.

  • This study is to suggest a performance assessment model for fire safety protection of office building 34 asessment elements were chosen by interviewing with experts, reviewing several codes and existing relevant models, assessment elements included in this model are comprised of five categories which are 'performace of protected area', 'performance of fire partition', 'safety performance of fire escape', 'performace of smoke control system' and 'performace of fire fighting equipment'. The weight of each element was computed by systematic approach like an AHP (analytical hierarchy process), which was conducted by experts who work in the field of fire protection. This model would be utilized as a part of assessment model for the overall performace of domestic office building.

  • High rising of the buildings offers a number of risk factors than ever before with regard to fire prevention. Especially in the construction site of high-rise buildings, people waste golden-time during the evacuation because temporary fire fighting facilities are not installed and transferred to a large fire because of fire suppression failure. In this study, the researcher derives the problems of fire protection in high-rise buildings construction sites and proposed the measures in such the legal aspects as fire building construction code and etc. There are the legal improvements such as orders of construction suspension in the problems of fire safety, appointing fire safety manager, temporary fire protection installation standards, enhancing penalty provisions regarding the use of fire, operating self fire brigade, confirming on-site after completing fire-protection facalities, establishment or strengthening special fire-protection investigations.

  • 최근 대형화 고층화 복합화 등 점차 발전하는 건축물의 피난 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 성능위주 중심의 피난안전계획이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 관련 법규의 세부적 기준이 없어 국외 기준에 기반하여 피난안전계획이 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 점차 도입되고 있는 성능적 기준의 도입을 위하여 국내외 관련 기준 및 관련 재실자 밀도 조사 사례를 분석한 결과 국내 제정된 법규는 기준 자체의 목적이 다르고 제한적 용도라는 한계점이 있었으며 또한 기존 연구 사례를 통해 조사 시기 및 방법과 결과의 적용, 신뢰성 확보 등 법규화를 위한 재실자 밀도 기준의 연구 방향을 알 수 있었다.

  • Membrane structures can be used to create diverse lightweight structural forms using ductile membranes made of coated fabric. Using membrane structures, it is possible to construct large covered spaces relatively quickly and economically, and hence, they are being applied within various applications. The structures are light-weight, transparent, flexible in their application, economical and easy to maintain, and as such, their usage is being expanded. However, despite their prevalence, the standard for membrane material performance in terms of fire safety is still inadequate, and the development of membrane materials with excellent flame resistance performance is being demanded. This study determined flame resistance performance of architectural membranes, including PTFE, PVDF, PVF and ETFE film membranes, through flammability testing and incombustibility testing.

  • 화재로 인한 건물의 화해 정도는 건축구조불의 안전성에 크게 영향을 미치게 된다. 특히, 철근 콘크리트 구조물이 화재로 인하여 고열을 받게되면, 그 구조적인 내력이 저하되므로, 이에 대한 안전성 검토는 매우 중요하다. 콘크리트의 고온성상은 시멘트의 종류, 골재의 석질. 배합, 함수율, 재령에 따라 달라진다. 또한, 화해를 입은 콘크리트조 건물은 수열조건에 따라 매우 복잡한 양상을 띄게된다. 일반적으로 화재 건물의 콘크리트 부재에서 나타나는 화해는 각 부재의 폭열 또는 콘크리트의 박리에 의한 주근의 노출 등 직접적인 손상과 보의 변형 기둥의 좌굴, 열팽창에 의한 전단균열 등의 2차 적인 피해가 있다. 그 화해 정도는 지진피해의 파괴현상과 유사한 경우도 있다. 이와 같이 콘크리트 부재의 화재 정도를 검토하기 위해서는 콘크리트의 고온성상 파악이 중요하다.(중략)

Experiment on the Correlation between Mass Flux of Heptane and Material Property of Wall in Compartment Fire (구획 화재 시 벽면 재료 특성과 헵탄의 질량유속 상관관계 실험)

  • In this study, the relationships between the material properties of the wall and the fuel mass flux in compartment fire. The fire resistant board (fire-board) and steel plate compartments are constructed with a 0.3 m width, 0.5 m height and 3.0 m length. To obtain the mass loss rate considering the location of the fire origin in compartment, experiments of a heptane pool fire are performed with a combustion area of $0.01m^2$ and $0.0225m^2$. The results show that the initial mass flux of heptane, $0.0087kg/m^2{\cdot}s$, is increased to $0.166kg/m^2{\cdot}s$ for fire board and $0.019kg/m^2{\cdot}s$ for steel plate. It means that the fire-scenario should be considered with the thermal characteristics of the material properties and geometric shapes of the compartment to predict fire propagation accurately in a compartment space.

  • 최근 사용하는 소방배관의 현장 시공에 사용되는 공법 및 부속을 살펴보면 정통방식의 부속연결 방식, Tee 가공방식, 분기관 방식을 사용하고 있다. 이 방식 중 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 방식은 Tee가공 방식과 분기관 방식으로 이는 우리나라의 소방배관 시설의 규모로 보았을 때 부속과 공법이 미흡하다 할 수 있다. 기존의 공법은 현장 적용성이 떨어지고 화재안전 성능이 미흡하다 할 수 있으며 사회가 발달 하며 건축물의 형태가 다양해지고 초고층화가 이루어지고 있는 과정에서 본 연구에서는 현재사용 하고 있는 공법의 분석과 새로운 소방배관 부속을 개발 하려 한다.

  • 국내에서는 철도차량의 화재안전성능을 향상시키기 위해 성능평가를 적용하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 철도차량에서의 화재 시 피난은 여러 가지 시나리오들이 존재하며, 이중 하나가 터널내부에서 정전이 되어 무조명상태가 되는 것이다. 철도차량은 물리적 공간적 환경이 건축물과 차이가 있다. 또한 문화적 인종적 차이로 인해 외국의 데이터를 바로 적용하는 것도 바람직한 일은 아니다. 그러므로 시나리오를 분석하기 위해 필요한 데이터는 실험을 통해 확보해야할 필요성이 있는 것이다. 무조명 상태에서의 피난인의 행태와 이동속도의 차이 등을 분석하기 위해 실험을 수행하고 그 결과를 분석해 보았다.
